CM Punk says he won't be at Survivor Series

On Thursday, CM Punk appeared as a guest on the Bernstein & Holmes sports radio show in Chicago.

During the appearance, the hosts brought up that listeners are asking if Punk will be at WWE Survivor Series, which is taking place in the Chicago area on November 25.

"They're asking if I'm going to be there? I think it's sold out," Punk responded. "I think tickets are hard to get."

Punk was then asked if it's possible that he'll perform at Survivor Series.

"I don't want to burst anybody's bubble. I'm kind of just sitting at home right now enjoying this beautiful Chicago weather," Punk said. "I have an injury in the family, my dog blew his little dog ACL. So I'm literally just spending my time with him. And I know that sounds a little crazy, but he is my son and I take care of him and treat him as such. So everything has kind of stopped. I'm fortunate to be able to just take time off from everything. I've canceled a couple of things I have coming up. Traveling is just, it's hard trying to leave him here with my wife April. So if there's two of us here taking care of him, it seems to be easier."

The topic of Punk's AEW departure was not brought up during the interview. Punk's AEW contract was terminated with cause on September 2 following a backstage incident with Jack Perry that took place at All In.

Dave Meltzer reported earlier this month that WWE has decided against hiring Punk.

Also during the Bernstein & Holmes Show appearance, Punk explained why he believes wrestlers will never unionize.

"For professional wrestling? Yeah, wrestlers should 100 percent have a union. And I'll always say this, and I mean it in the most loving way, wrestlers will never unionize because wrestlers are stupid and selfish," Punk said, "That's just the way it is. There's always gonna be somebody else around the corner that wants what you have, or possibly just doesn't want you to have what you have. And they will do whatever a promoter wants you to do for less money. And that's unfortunate. But the boys never stick together."

Over the weekend, Punk attended the home opener of the Chicago Blackhawks' NHL season. Punk voiced the team's introduction video for the game.

Punk was backstage at Impact Wrestling's television tapings in Cicero, Illinois on Sunday.

Thursday's radio show appearance took place on the same day as Punk's birthday. He turns 45 years old today.

The hype around this event is crazy, i'm actually gonna have to watch this one live for the off chance that he does appear. I'm fine with whatever the outcome, though I do hope it happens.

I mean isn’t it the most wrestling thing ever to say you’re not going to be at a show in your hometown then show up at the show in your hometown?

We get it; you have a hate boner for the dude but crazier things have happened.

I think to even acknowledge the possibility also, I think adds to the possibility. Like I don’t think punk at any point denied the rumors that he might show up bound for glory. So I didn’t think anything of it and didn’t expect him to be there. It’s weird how the human mind works sometimes.

At the end of the day, Phil Brooks is going to do what is best for Phil Brooks. As far as I know, he’s worked for every major American Wrestling company since he got into the business.

He did TNA, he did ROH, he did WWE, he did AEW. He’s not touching any new ground wherever he goes.

Yeah but me disliking punk does not invalidate my logic. You just could not counter what I said so u tried to reduct its validity by trampling my statement was emotionally charged. Nice try but no go pal!

It's ok , I'll just be right as usual xp

This is true, but for some reason, I still feel as though since he was only in the NWA portion of TNA, and he didn’t go to TNA the entire time that he was away that if he did show up to the rebirth, TNA, it would feel like a big deal I don’t know why.

“I’ll be right as usual”

Very much Deezy logic

You either die the hero or live long enough to become the villain.
