Ok I give props to Vince for always making his angles look realistic but seriously its completely uneccessary to have him do stuff like this. More cries for media attention, more stupidity coming. Seriously instead of putting over some of the guys in the roster he decides to take all the spotlight from the draft and all the stuff that happen and put the spotlight on himself. Now nobody is gonna even care about the draft but more about Vince and another fake injury.
Good show btw just the stupidity at the end kills it.
Anyways how do you guys see this thing going?

Discuss...

I tossed the theory around that he could just blame the incident it on someone else, and end the Million Dollar give away. I mean, he can't just give away a million dollars all these weeks and end it, Fans would freak. Plus it makes it look like Vince is injured now.. he said he couldn't feel his legs. Maybe he's finally off of TV.

Just wondering but how are you sure its fake? The stage kinda looked like it collapsed when he went off then he got up and it basically fell on him. I was in total shock when this happened. Im such a fool for beliving it

Wow, whats so wrong with this? WWE is a tv show people. It is not a wrestling event, so it doesnt have to always be realiistic. Considering we all know its fake, just entertained by it. Ok? I mean, when you watch a show, you dont go "damn this is stupid, luke skywalker isnt really a jedi", you just enjoy the show, and characters. Do it here too.

Ok so your point is? I mean couldn't he do this shit some other time, does it HAVE to be on a special night that he wants to blow himself up or throw a giant McBill at himself? Seriously its not that its a bad thing its more of it being uneccessary and taking away from the importance of the night. Shit Law and Order is a tv show but does that mean they will stop investigating and start giving up money and making the show look like a game show from the 90s? I didn't even mention anything about it not having wrestling because I said it was a good show but just the extra Vince stuff is completely stupid and is only being done to get more media attention wich is an even cheaper way to get ratings then the money giving. I love how some of you start bashing TNA for doing stupid stuff but when it comes to WWE ya always have an excuse to make it look like "its not that bad". Have a balance that's contradicting yourself. I will say it again this angle is completely stupid and Blue. We don't need to have the chairman as the main center of attention, only in the world of Vince you see this type of shit.

Yeah, because a storyline with Vince Mcmahon is worse than any of the shit TNA pulls on the name of comedy.

Vince could have pulled it some other night, but tonight was the draft, a big night, and this is a big angle. And last time I checked, Vince's angles always draw a lot of attention, or don't you remember the attention he was getting with his I am Dead storyline? And also you pull off the he is not pushing anybody new...geez, I wonder what is that little thing they are doing to Lance Cade as of right now.

Besides, without Vince on screen and on without an angle, ratings are down, so Vince has a point on believing that we need him, and seriously, you can't argue with it.

Lol trust me WWE does the same shit. I mean if you find Carlito trying to run through a painted door funny then you need to get me some of the weed you smoking.

So what a big angle will get over any night. They draw attention but is it the right attention? I mean I don't see the ratings skyrocketing.

And also you pull off the he is not pushing anybody new...geez, I wonder what is that little thing they are doing to Lance Cade as of right now.
Put a quote on were I "pulled" the he isn't pushing people card. Why is Lance Cade in this arguement?

Besides, without Vince on screen and on without an angle, ratings are down, so Vince has a point on believing that we need him, and seriously, you can't argue with it.

Wow Vince been here since like half the year and yet they are desperate for ratings? Vince does bring lots of rating don't he, that's why the Million Dollar angle gave them the highest ratings ever right? Give me actual rating logs of Vince bringing ratings up cuz if I remember right the ratings haven't changed much from Vince not being on tv to him being on tv.

You want numbers? Ok, this information come from Gerweck.net's Nielsen Ratings chart:

The Mcmahon Death Storyline ran from June 11 to June 25, in which Raw draw 3.8, 4.1 and 3.83. Before the show in which the angle they started they came from another 3.8 and a 3.2, and after the angle ended they got a 3.7 to then come down to 3.35.

The Mcmahon Dollar Mania raised the rating from 2.91 to 3.1, lowered next week only to then raise it once again to 3.31. So Mcmahon raises the ratings.

Seriously instead of putting over some of the guys in the roster he decides to take all the spotlight from the draft and all the stuff that happen and put the spotlight on himself

Ok so I guess those 3.8 ratings stayed right? Sorry but those stats fail. You say he bring in ratings but a one night thing isn't really much help.

Sorry but you got that twisted not put over as in push but have something else that benefits another wrestler. How is this gonna benefit anyone? So he's gonna get a few ratings boost for this night then next week back to regular ratings so how is this a good remedy for WWE's rating "crisis"?

Thanks for helping your buddy but I think he does a better job at arguing with me than you do. You only responded to two of the points in my arguement wich both have bearly anything to do with the main point of this thread, whatever happened to my other counter arguements? Forgot about them? Have nothing to say? Wanna leave em alone? Pretend they not there?. Since you didn't answer back to it I am assuming you find Carlito running through a painted door on the wall funny as hell.

Ok, so, you expect that just for one storyline WWE raise their ratings for what, permanently? On the course Vince was on that storylines, ratings remain up. When they ended, ratings go down, but it was shown that Vince's presence raised the ratings.

Not me or anyone can say how this is going to benefit a wrestler, but you cannot jump in and say it will not. The angle has not even been developed. Last year, from the Mcmahon death storyline, did it look like someone was going to get a rub rather than the Mcmahons? But what do reports say? That Mr. Kennedy was going to get pushed from this angle. Last storylines pushed Bobby Lashley and Finlay. So wrestlers do get benefited from The Mcmahon angles.

And how can you compare what happened on one skit on one show, one show with Carlito, to a permanent character like Sharkboy, or a PPV angle like Eric Young bringing Elvis, or AJ dressing in costumes on consecutive festivities. So yeah, you WWE pull shit like that with Carlito, one skit, on one show, TNA has characters based on comedy, and before you mention Hornswoggle, lately his comedy have been limited to Finlay planting someone with the shillellagh.

Say what you want, but Vince does cause a change on ratings, not permanently, but you can't expect a permanent raise of ratings just for one angle. And either you for some reason deny it, every Mcmahon angle push another wrestler along with Vince.

EXACTLY!!! WELL PUT!!!

Damn.. these fans can be too uptight.. it's called "Testing The Waters".. enjoy the damn show or turn it. Hell, it's just a way of getting the Million Dollar Giveaway up.. it'll probably turn into something brilliant by revealing some superstar setting this up. Maybe Shane McMahon?... I'm really thinking Undertaker is going to play in this some how, bringing him to RAW - but I wouldn't bet on that. Who knows - "anything can happen in the WWE"

But you just said he raises ratings, meaning he puts the show up, so technically when he comes up with these bullshit angles the media picks it up, fans go like wtf is going on, they tune in, they see the bull in it and they just change channel the next week. Great right? So technically he doesn't raise ratings he gives you more a one night ratings boost wich isn't enough.
Not me or anyone can say how this is going to benefit a wrestler, but you cannot jump in and say it will not.
It most likely won't.

The angle has not even been developed. Last year, from the Mcmahon death storyline, did it look like someone was going to get a rub rather than the Mcmahons? But what do reports say? That Mr. Kennedy was going to get pushed from this angle.
Um no that storyline only pushed for people to no longer take tribute shows serious, made a complete mockery of tribute shows.

Last storylines pushed Bobby Lashley and Finlay. So wrestlers do get benefited from The Mcmahon angles.
Finlay didn't really get anything but a face turn. Lashley's angle wasn't an over the top angle like this or the explosion so don't bring that up. Plus Lashley was already pushed to the moons and stars.

Its fucking TNA what else do you expect? Only thing is TNA doesn't know when to pull the plug on stupidity like that, WWE at least does. So really you are being biased. If you are so quick to run your mouth about TNA why don't you do it when WWE pulls a crap like this? Have a balance to your opinions.

Yeah so first you come here telling me "it boost up ratings" now you telling me something different? When you refer to boosting ratings it means you have a raise that will last at least a month. None of his angles have ever done that, so are you changing your mind all of a sudden?
