1) Vince doesn't own PPV. No one pays him money to have PPV's
2) When the WWE used to host there PPV's online it cost $16 to buy. So it was about half the price of buying them on regular PPV.
3) TNA, WWE and most PPV's are Live where available. The only PPV's that weren't most of the time were the Pride FC but they got bought by UFC so who cares. lol
4) Most likely if this was ever to happen it would happen when TV & Internet became more integrated anyways. Meaning most likely you'd still be able to stream it over to your big screen tv and watching in crystal clear high def.
5) Ultimately this isn't happening anytime soon even if it is true as revenue would drop if they changed it now since the PPV's would have to be even more expensive then they are now on regular PPV to be able to create the amount of bandwidth they would need for everyone to watch it, otherwise it would be choppy as all hell and no one would order one again out of frustration which is why TNA doing it would be a bad idea. There Youtube shows may be popular, but not everyone is watching it at once.
Think about it this way. A lot of you watch streams. (so your already watching it on a computer anyways and part of the reason why the PPV industry is dying) but how many of you bitch and complain about the signal cutting out or it freezing or losing sound or whatever? Thats what would happen if the WWE did it or anyone else. The only way to avoid it is to sink more money into the bandwidth which you would have to pay more for and most of you were too cheap to buy the PPV's when they were $30, even less of you pay the $40-$50 now. I could imagine it being even worse if the WWE put it online at least in the here and now.
