I ended up having to do something else before it ended. Wow. Just. Wow. catcher wasn’t even ready but the batter gets called. Dumb dumb dumb

After watching my Phillies today I love the Time Clock to speed up the Game a bit. Alot of Pitchers take forever to get into their Roundup to even throw a Pitch now it's time to sink or swim with the new rules.

Batter should have known better he wasn't ready for the pitch with 8 seconds left.

And it's some dude no one's heard of who is probably a minor leaguer, which means he's been dealing with this for at least a season.

It’s no way the pitch would’ve got off in time anyway where the catcher was. Still would’ve thought that was dumb to win the game that way also. I don’t know, I think it’s going to take me time to get use to it. But the catcher shouldn’t be able to not be set like that and get the batter out. Just my opinion.

meh the catcher not being ready is a debatable topic. But the rules say the batter has to be ready looking at the pitcher with 8 seconds left which he wasn't.

And they absolutely MUST call the rules in virtually every instance, regardless of when it is. You can't play by different rules because the game is almost over. Only way to get the rules into the heads of the players is to call the violations 100% of the time regardless.

To be fair the pitcher can still pitch without the catcher in his stance. But you're right about the catcher and I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually tweak the rules. Yeah I personally was never bored myself I mean if I enjoyed it already maybe I’ll enjoy it more.

rule I’m more mad about is the shift ban, even if I think it will help the Braves out since the shift hurt them a lot.

The shift ban anger has always confused me. Everyone loves football but their formation rules are so rigid they make no shifting look like freedom.
