Told you.

This Earl Clark guy seems like more than a throw in thus far.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

Earl Clark outplaying J-Rich wouldn't have thought that would have been the case.

Guy excels in a point forward role (take note Phoenix and Toronto)

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

This starting group they are using right now is the best compromise imo as Bass can play backup big, Gilbert can be the backup guard, and Q can get SF minutes.

Q can keep his ass on the bench if Clark continues to play well.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

I still am betting that Jameer will be benched or get traded though because Gilbert is the better point guard and defender of the two, whereas Nelson can push the pace off the bench or get them back a big like Brand.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

There is no logical reason for him to start besides Dwight having a man crush on him and Stan being scared to piss off his meal ticket.

- He isn't the better defender
- He isn't the better scorer
- He isn't the better passer or able to see the floor better
- He and Hedo don't really click to the point they bring wins together. They made the Finals only because he went down and the ball was place primarily into Hedo's hands, with Rafer getting the limited touches and playmaking opportunities that Hedo was getting before Jameer got hurt.
- Lastly Gilbert makes almost 20mil, and is hard to justify a player making that much coming off the bench

^ Cool story; Jameer's still better

Suns waived Barron; pick him up, Otis.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

In what world?

Gilbert is also better at sharing the ball with other options who like to handle it as he has shown with Butler, Jamison, and Hughes.

Nelson likes to hold the ball too much to be a first unit player and maximize Hedo imo.

Did J-Rich not pack his shot and take it with him?

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

There is no point in trading him, PSYCH. The only glaring need on this team is a backup big, and there is none worth Jameer. Trading a starting PG for a backup C who will play 15 minutes would be pointless. Otis is trying to get Battie or Turiaf. You're telling me they're worth Jameer?
