WWE SmackDown ratings up, back over two million viewers
Friday's WWE SmackDown
averaged 2.084 million viewers on Fox, up 8.1 percent from the previous week. It's still the second-lowest audience total for the show since July 15.
Like the previous week, SmackDown was pre-empted in some markets due to NFL preseason football. This episode had fewer pre-emptions than the prior week.
In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown topped all of television with a 0.47 rating, up 6.8 percent from the previous week and more than 30 percent higher than any other program on Friday.
The 18-49 number tied SmackDown's second-lowest rating since June 10.
SmackDown also topped English-language television in the 18-34 demo with a 0.25 rating.
As compared to the same week in 2021, SmackDown was down 0.9 percent in viewers and down 17.5 percent in 18-49. At a time when Raw and NXT are up year-over-year, it's the fourth straight week SmackDown has had a year-over-year decline in the demo.
Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for SmackDown, along with the 10-week averages in both categories. This week's show was down 2.4 percent in viewers and down 7.8 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
