"WWE spokeswoman Annie Kruger declined to comment about Fox and the USA Network except to say the company plans to announce its U.S. TV partner between May and September of this year. WWE's contract with USA officially expires Sept. 30, 2019."

Raw Deal: Fox could put 'WWE Raw' on broadcast TV

This rumor of sorts has been going on for over a year now. What are your thoughts on it?
Should WWE jump ship on the USA Network and join Fox?

Fox is more sports orientated so yes. May help get a few more folks. Or, if the network is getting big enough and they’re confident enough, test putting Smackdown live only on the WWE network. See what happens.

I always wondered what @Jacob Fox did in his spare time besides workout and maintain threads when bored lol. Thanks for the info, Snakey one. :)

Oh and Idk if that would be a good idea or not, I mean wasn't the whole point to move WWE shows to a cable network?? :emoji_confused:

Would there be erm risks associated with moving to Fox atm in terms of retaining viewers due to Fox news or do people not generally care on a more basic level over there?

So...would this "purchase" actually change the overall WWE product?
not really, the television deal is a purely financial decision based on run time and commercial time. It's basically like the whole thing's a painting and the TV deal is the paper it's drawn on

Short answer: No.

Longer answer:

Fox sports and Fox news are two different entities. Now of course politics bleed over into sports from time to time but I don't think that would be an issue for WWE as they already steer clear of any and all political commentary (unless it benefits them). Wrestling fans seem to not care about real politics so they'll follow the company to whatever network.

Doesn't really effect me, I read about the initial FOX thing and people got the idea RAW would be 2 hours long again.

Linda is doing her thing with Trump and co though and there is a photo of them meeting Trump. It can be hard to filter things from here though.

I don't care which channel its going to be on. As long as WWE still show the clips on YouTube, I'm fine. Don't get why people moan about Raw being 3 hours. Just watch the clips on youtube. You don't miss anything.

RAW used to be 1 hour long along with the old WWE Superstars before RAW.

NXT is great, I think the 1 hour thing plays into that and even 205 live has been better than Smackdown at least maybe raw the last month or so.
RAW for me is over 2 hours roughly and a month behind.
