Meh, TNA say it's the World Championship, it's been defended in England, Japan, Mexico ect. and who really gives a shit about what a magazine says? EC3 is World Heavyweight Champion for TNA. And I'm predicting he'll be a damn good one.

I love PWI, but I agree. This would have meant a lot more about 25 years ago, but not so much now. They don't have set criteria anyway. It's basically the opinion of a few editors at a magazine that is not even read by the majority of wrestling fans. It's not the consensus of fans or the actual wrestling companies or anyone other than a couple of guys who publish a magazine.

For example, the NWA World Heavyweight CHampionship is defended across the country, in Mexico, in Japan, in Australia, in England among 25 promotions and who knows how many wrestlers. It makes sense that it is a world title, but it's still not seen as one by PWI.

It's really a turn off how some people easily changed their minds on such things. If TNA was so hot before, then why are they suddenly tossed aside? It seems so silly.

When was it hot? 2012? That's quite enough time to change one's mind about anything.

2007 to 2008 :D Yeah I'm being repetitive... that's what I get for watching wrestling for 30 years I guess

I suppose maybe I'm too loyal, then. :cry2:
I watched until Christmas last year and honestly they ruin it for themselves. The product is too consistently inconsistent, there are constant problems with not only paying talent, but constant backlash among so many other things. TNA is buried, but HHH isn't holding the shovel in this situation. The way AJ Styles was handled, the departure of good talent for beast people, the inconsistent storylines and horrible payoffs ruin what mostly is a lot of great matches.

I watched TNA for a handful of people, but they always delivered great matches. These people either thought or prayed that by making the big moves in TNA, WWE would see them as the talent they (honestly) could be. Taryn vs Gail ladder was sick, so many x division championship matches were amazing, and the midcard matches outside were great. The problem is above the wrestling talent they have there, and now that the "legends" bullshit is finally finished they should be moving forward and BUILDING TALENT in their own house, but instead they are losing their biggest names and STILL FUCKING BUYING OUT OLD NAMES FOR A WEEK TO WEEK BASIS. I mean ffs you have people who are over with the crowd, why are you still pushing the shit that doesnt get a single pop week in and week out? You get rid of hogan to hand the same power to guys who are far from household names. It's ludicrous.

Hmmm. I don't think Dixie feels very safe doing things any other way. She's probably just as confused and scared as anybody might be. It's possible she's in over her head and feels nobody is around to rescue her or assure her what is best. I don't think she knows the right thing to do because she might feel she's been taken advantage of. Things might be easier if had been taught about wrestling much, but this is all just a new thing and I'm sure she is still figuring it all out. If she wasn't a good person in heart I'm not too sure Awesome Kong or Gail Kim ever would have come back.

She had Jeff Jarrett. She could have treated him a lot better than she did and wouldn't be so "alone."

But honestly, if Dixie feels at any time that she is in over her head, she shouldn't be running the company. She should find someone who could run it better. She's been the president of the company for 13 years now. If she is confused and scared after running the company as long as she has been, then she needs to hand the reigns over to someone who isn't.

It is very true that she didn't seem to appreciate Jeff much. Hulk seemed to wine and dine her until she was eventually duped in by his charm and convinced. I'm not familiar with her exact situation. There may be pressures on her to succeed on her own in ways we don't understand. Her father may have been overbearing or any number of things. She has appeared desperate at times and maybe this was just something she wasn't meant to do.

I think you're spot on about Hogan. He convinced her that he was someone who he wasn't. By coming out and claiming that he taught Vince McMahon how to run the WWF, he was able to pull the wool over her eyes. Upon Hogan's arrival is when Jarrett's influence took a severe dive and also where the product started to suffer. Bischoff destroying the 6 sided ring on TV was a great sign of this.

I can't really blame Dixie for being taken in by Hogan and Bischoff. She doesn't really have roots in the business and Hogan's name likely seemed good to bank on at the time. Bischoff did run WCW successfully for a short period of time, but he mortgaged the future of the company for short term gain and it seemed like he was trying to take TNA on that path as well.

I admit I am biased towards Jarrett, since I am a huge fan of the guy. But I am not claiming he's a promotional genius or anything. Still, he grew up in the business and he grew up the son of a promoter, so his instincts as a behind the scenes promoter were likely better than she would have. But oh well. I hope she can still succeed. Even though I've lost my enthusiasm for TNA, I think it still needs to be around and I don't like watching people (not named Hulk Hogan) fail. But I was only able to get through a small portion of the show yesterday... when the guy in the four way match started knocking other guys down with his beer belly, that was the end of it for me.

Fortunately, I was such a big fan of TNA that when it started I taped all the weekly PPVS and the Fox Sports Channel show and bought all the Spike TV episodes off iTunes. It's fun to go back and watch TNA in what I consider its glory days
