Newest Stable in WWE - 3MB

On Twitter the last couple of days Jinder Mahal, Drew McIntyre and Heath Slater have declared that their new group is called Encore. Over the past few weeks they have been attacking guys like Brodus Clay and Ryback and have decided that the best course of action is to form a "band". It is going to be a different concept since the three of them are rarely on television and mainly get stuck on Superstars. Wouldn't be the worst way to try to make all three more relevant and WWE does need more stables so this could work out. Need to actually get some television time this week to explain it all.

What do you think of Encore? Will these three be able to get themselves over with this group or will they be a modern version of the J.O.B. Squad?

Most likely a modern day J.O.B. Squad. McIntyre is the only one benefiting from this because his career is close to dead, Slater & Mahal are still on the up and up.

I like Slater, think he has the mic skills to make this work, McIntyre on my TV weekly allows me to overlook knee strikes being on my TV weekly. I'm interested.

I hope that this actually does lead somewhere for these guys, yes they might not be future HOFers but WWE needs a strong midcard with five hours of RAW and Smackdown to fill each week. If these guys can actually get over as a group then it should help create a bit more interest in the midcard on both shows. For it to work they need to actually manage to beat down a few more guys over the coming weeks to get them over as an actual threatening stable.

Drew McIntyre has been in the wilderness for too long so hopefully this is the start of a revival for him. Six months back I would have pegged him as the clear leader but after Slater's work with the legends in recent months he seems like the current obvious candidate as the mouthpiece. I like Mahal so it is good that he is involved in something even if it is as the number three guy. Hopefully they make an appearance on RAW tonight as Encore.

Truly horrible. Slater should stick to being a comedy jobber, Mahal should stick to NXT and McIntyre should get something better this.

I finally understand what you meant by knee strikes Chris. Holy!

This stable could work if they got a couple more guys in it.

The idea is good but this is a bad mix of guys to do it with that don't mesh to me. Also would have been much better if they actually built up to this instead of doing it out of random.

Another weird thing. I know I'm in the minority that watch it, but on Superstars last week (which was taped right before the Smackdown where this group debuted), Drew McIntyre beat Jinder Mahal, and he was kinda' playing a face. Not so much that he did anything different, but the crowd popped for him a few times.

I wouldn't exactly call working with captain knee strike a step up to be honest.

So getting any time on Smackdown not jobbing without an entrance is worse than jobbing on Superstars? Teaming with Khali would be a step-up to where Drew was at before.
