CWF - Note to everyone and Staff included.

I can fully admit I made a mistake this week by putting up the show earlier. With timezones I've always been used to putting shows up Sunday US Time because it's already Monday here. From now on, there will be no issues. I can promise you from now on you will have CWF Monday Night WAR either an hour before WWE RAW or after WWE RAW. This way everyone has enough time to send promos and TT.

Once again, I apologize. Those who had already sent promos may wish to re-send them because I promise you this week's show will make up for it.

Thought I'd input here and say that if you can't get a promo in by the time the show is to be put up, that's your own fault. Everybody's given an entire week to do a promo, and it's not even that time consuming. Whenever I've been asked for one in the past for whatever fed I'm in, I do it immediately so that part of the show is already done.

Remember, you TT for your match that's on the show. I consider promos to be above TTing as you're assisting with the show, and at the end of the week of TTing, the show is the big thing we wait for. At least have the decency to do a promo when you have a whole week to do it.

The Dresden Dose: CWF Monday Night War 8-8-11

So I logged onto the forum and saw the new thread addressing CWF Staff and e-fedders, wherein Andrew apologized for posting this week's edition of Monday Night War early. I was surprised to say the least, but also happy because it gave me a chance to check out the show and get my review written.

We open up with a Jack Swagger promo, a man who is disgruntled after failing to officially capture the Intercontinental Championship, despite being the titleholder on two occasions within the Scramble match. Swagger demands another shot, refusing to leave until it's granted to him.

Several referees try to get the "All-American American" to leave but he's sticking to his word. Out of nowhere, Muhammad Hassan attacks Swagger and starts beating him down. But Jack refuses to be jumped as he brings Hassan down.

After a distraction from Khali, all hell breaks loose on Swagger as he gets laid out with a steel chair and a Reverse STO before being punished in the Camel Clutch. After Muhammad's had his way, he puts all of CWF on notice with a promo that forewarns of the dominance he promises he and his partners will continue to rule with.

Let me just say, THAT was an awesome opening. Hassan, Daivari, and Khali are one of the hottest acts going right now. After Swagger is tended to and the menacing trio returns to the backstage, we are immediately joined by John Cena and Triple H, who have apparently formed a tag team.

They make their intentions clear with no delay and also their alignment as Triple H wastes no time in getting the crowd to boo them. This team could be interesting, reminds me of when HHH tagged with Stone Cold.

Our first commercial break is a potshot at those that didn't TT this week. Having seen the backlash, I know this is a sensitive subject right now so I will decline to comment. Back from commercial, we quickly learn we will be joined by John Morrison.

Morrison cuts a promo, Rhodes does the mirror trick from Retribution, the two slug it out and after an impromptu ladder match, John captures the Primetime Championship. Afterwards, Taz makes an Ultimate X for next week to crown the number one contender that John will defend his belt against at Starrcade. Unexpected and a bit unorthodox but might be good.

We see Christian, who cuts a promo on Orton and then we see Daivari and Khali in the ring. Apparently they were to have a match against the World's Greatest Tag Team, but now they won't because apparently Haas & Benjamin are gone from CWF, as are Pride & Honor. Well that was short-lived.

It's announced that Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels have formed a tag team, and will face Daivari and Khali next week to try and earn a title shot against them at Starrcade. Should be interesting. Our second commercial break is another expression of frustration regarding the lack of promos and TT'ing.

Back from commercial, it's time for Desmond Wolfe to make his CWF debut! This was quite the match and I honestly can't believe I won, I'm very excited about that. Huge compliment from Andrew in his comment on the show too. Appreciate it.

Not long at all after Kane wins, it's time for Brock Lesnar vs. Miz. Lack of segues aside, this match wasn't bad either. Very intense collision with both men leaving on stretchers, what further evidence do you need that this was a powder keg?

And our third commercial break is more of the same as it starts to become a bit excessive. Your feelings have been illustrated, you now run the risk of counter-productivity. Anyway, Christian and Finlay have an epic main event showdown and CM Punk caps things off with another nice promo.

Another good edition of MNW, Starrcade is shaping up to be quite a show. Big ups to everyone involved.
