If we're comparing the characters, Sid's definitely more designed to frighten in my opinion. The shit he does to the toys is crazy.

Chris

Dreams are Endless
I'm not the genre police :draper2

The only time I've vetoed an entry that I can remember was when someone nominated a TV show for a a movie tournament lol

Hey if it was my choice neither would be here. :hayden3

Chris seems to like chaos though so blame him.
this we agree on lol, i just feel joker i can at least make some case for (as i said, specifically the batman movie from the 90s) but yeah, i mean, from a purist POV neither would be classic horror. but ppl gonna ppl i guess lol

I would say to the Burton Batman comments, though, that Returns does come awfully close to gothic horror. Throw Max Shreck in and I'd be game.

then you should rewatch the movies. i guess you dont find mass murder, rape, torture scary ? thats like, a weird opinion
Not in the way it was presented. He literally shot people with comical guns or made them die with a goofy smile on their faces in 89.

In Nolan's he made a pencil disappear in a dude's eye. Joker was designed to be a crazy joker for lack of a better word, but not scary.
