Dixie Carter announced via Twitter that she has just signed Sting to a "new talent contract."

I didn't see that happening as I was expecting this to be Sting's last year wrestling. But he still must be feeling good.

Sting=The Brett Favre of TNA.
He's older, but I still like the guy. He needs to stay out of the title picture completely though and begin to put guys over though.

It was close not to happening, I debated retiring or one wwe run, then Dixie offered me half a million and I signed

TNA sure loves giving away money. It seriously wouldn't shock me that their convo about a new deal starts with him saying he got a call from Vince and that makes her cough off cash for him to do meaningless shit for another year.

Lol wow, that is such a waste of money. If I was Sting I would of just put my pride away, eventually went to WWE and earn a good amount of money for not doing much (wouldn't be on an active contract) and then get inducted into the HOF, etc and retire.

nah, hes still got a good year before he has to do that WG, so why not bleed TNA dry, then go to the WWE and take some more cash? Seriously, I don't blame the dude, but bad choice on Dixies part

Don't understand people saying hes a waste of money when he would be paid so much in WWE to do less

He hardly does anything in TNA, I don't think I've ever seen him put over young guys. It's truly a waste of money anywhere, but WWE would probably benefit more from it, ratings and all...

I'm just shocked he is going another year. Figured this would be the last year. But... ah well. Not going to make me watch TNA any more than I have been lately.

I guess I'm the only one including the dirtsheet writers that watched Impact! last week when Sting asked Dixie to redo his contract in the meantime as he takes a break to get in to "Bobby Roode" shape while Hogan takes back over as the GM of sorts.

wow most bias post I have ever read SMH. People who are saying waste of money is just mad because he chooses to be loyal to dixie. he is the undertaker of tna . You do not have to be in wwe to be a legend or anything like that. Obviously Sting is very happy where he is at. Just be happy for him and stop using your feelings . You are mad cause you will not get your precious Sting vs taker at Mania so you are saying its a waste of money ....

No Scott, Im saying it's a waste of money, because TNA isnt a rich company or anything. They dont have a hell of a lot of income to dispose on superstars, like the WWE does. So that half a mil they spent on sting could have been spent on stars they could build into legends..

But how do you know tna does not have a lot of money? they are a PRIVATE company . Oh because dirtsheets say they are losing money every year we are supposed to believe them? I mean yea if TNA became like wwe and announced their earnings and I heard it from Double J and dixie's mouth that they are losing money I would believe it .
