Goldberg to Return Next Week

It's just been confirmed by WWE and Goldberg himself that after 12 years away from WWE, he will make his long awaited return next week live on Raw. Goldberg will be addressing Paul heyman and Brock lesnar.

Thoughts on this development?

The match is rumored to happen at Survivor Series which is way too soon IMO; save it for Rumble.

The segment will probably be bad but it'll garner a nostalgia pop if Goldberg drops Heyman with a Spear

As I said last night, I'm curious to see the pop and it's always cool seeing classic stars back. Since I started watching wrestling in 2006, I never saw Goldberg live. That being said, I know Goldberg wasn't a particularly good wrestler so I don't really expect a good match. Even so, it'll be cool to see.

Nah survivor series is one of the big 4. It doesn't get enough love.

This is going to be absolutely terrible, it's just got all the makings of it. I've always liked Lesnar but the guy has been an absolute bore to watch for the longest of time now, I just don't get any entertainment out of watching him suplex a guy 10 times spread out over 20 minutes.

That being said, I will pop for hearing Goldbergs music again though.

sure it's part of the big 4 but it's the lowest of the 4 and shit WWE hasn't cared about this event in about 11 years, one could argue that MITB is now a bigger event than this. All i want is them to correctly book a traditional elimination match, have the winners actually win something e.g. all get a future world title shot whenever they want it, or any title they want. Shit, my favorite was in 2004 when the winning team got to run raw for a week.

Well now they can start giving shit again lol. And besides Survivor series tag matches are used to build up superstars if they're the last survivor. Examples are Dolph Ziggler and Roman Reigns.

Dolph just got a IC title run that was hot potato between he and Luke, he doesn't count. Orton's last survivor run tho :banderas:

You think he's in wrestling shape? Try and remember Survivor Series is 5-6 weeks away. After 12 years, Goldberg doesn't want to come back and get blown up in 6 minutes. He said it himself that he needs time to get in shape

Dude he's been working out ever since leaving wwe. It's not like he let himself go. And even so, I'm sure wwe wouldn't allow him back at SS if he wasn't good to go.
