Matter of opinion

Some random dude on a forum said:
ROH is the company that pushes home grown talent right so why is a TNA reject Jay Lethal the TV Champion and WWE rejects WGTT there Tag Team champions?

I'm just wondering what do you guys think of this? Do you think whoever wrote it is correct?

Lethal was working the indy scene way before his run in TNA and he could hardly be classified as a "reject". Aside from that, this is the only time in RoH history that the tag champs previously worked for WWE so its not like its a common occurrence. Basically I disagree with the entire post on principal and think the person who wrote it obviously doesn't watch RoH that closely, if at all.

Well it was on some random TNA forum I found while looking to find the Aganist All Odds poster so I would expect it to maybe hate on another company. (I am not on this forum btw)

I see it as a company putting titles on established names in time for their TV debut. And considering Davey Richards holds their main title, whomevers opinion that is is automatically rendered wrong.

I agree with you guys on this one...ROH doesn't just hand titles over to people because of where they have been, they have to earn it, and it's always been that way.

They have people earn their titles. Thats how its always been just because the tag champs are "wwe rejects" doesn't mean they didn't earn the titles. Whoever wrote that is a dumbass

This whole notion of homegrown talent is the biggest bag of bullshit ever. I'm sorry to say but it is. During the territories and Monday Night Wars, guys would move around all the time. If they didn't, Steve Austin, Triple H, Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Big Show, etc... never would have come to the WWE. WCW never would have exploded with top WWF guys or had the nWo angle that toppled the WWF in the ratings war for 84 weeks.

Jump forward to today and no one calls out WWE for having CM Punk and Daniel Bryan as the World Champions. Both guys are ROH born and breed talent.

Talent are allowed to move between promotions. You don't sign up one place and get labeled a "WWE" or "TNA" guy their whole career. Fuck that.
