I'm sure this isn't an original idea by any stretch of the imagination but it was to me at the time and it turned out rather well. It's easy to make and is one of the single greatest snacking foods ever. Seriously, even an idiot can do this.

Take a large bowl, add the following:

3 tbsp jam (I used red cherry)
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp brown sugar
2 mangoes,diced
3 kiwis, diced
1 pint of strawberrys
1 pint of blackberries
1 pint of raspberries

mix together avec spoon occasionally mashing to create a nice Mango/Kiwi/Berry salsa. very sweet and tasty.

Now you need chips.

Take flour tortillas and cut them into chips and place on a baking sheet. (Make as many as you like) after they are on the baking sheet spray them with a butter flavoured cooking spray (you could melt butter and brush it on, but it's really unnecessary).

Then sprinkle your chips liberally with cinnamon sugar (0.5 cups sugar w/ 1.5 tbsp ground cinnamon, shake till mixed) and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Spray one last time with butter spray.

Put into a pre heated 350 degree oven for 10 minutes tops on the top rack. Only do one sheet at a time.

let your chips cool for 10 mins and bam. You have a delicious snack.

You can thank me after you eat this.

It is really good. I came up with it while cleaning out my fridge of nasty smelly things.

Also you can pretty much substitute any fruits you want. You can use real cherries if you feel like pitting and chopping them.

Speaking of chopping. It might be pretty bad ass if you rough chopped some walnuts and tossed it in as well for some extra texture.

Maybe avoid bananas though. I think they'd mush up too much. Maybe. Same with oranges, it'd get too juicy.

Use marmalade instead of jam if you want an orange flavour I suppose.

I wish I liked cooking at restaurants as work. I'd get a loan, open my own small hole in the wall cafe or what have you and pump out delicious food all day.

Alas, I hate being rushed while I'm cooking so it will never happen.

I thought of the whipped cream too but at that point I may as well make trifle.

Why do you American's call Chips Fries, and Crisps Chips?

Or why do British, call Fries Chips, and Chips Crisps?

Kiwi's are cheap right now. The Italian ones are in season. You don't have to use mangos as all they have are the terrible Mexican/Peruvian ones right now. Apple would work too.
