In a story that has been just been picked up by several news sites, Sean "X-Pac" Waltman was arrested in Florida this past Wednesday for possession of hydrocodone (a synthetic opiod often used for pain relief) and drug paraphernalia, according to the official site of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. It was also noted that he was released later that afternoon on a $2,150.00 bond.
Accompanied by a rather ghastly mugshot (even by wrestling standards), this arrest is a deeply worrying development for the former WCW and WWE wrestler (he has also had several stints with TNA over the years).
The 39-year-old Waltman has long been known for his battles with drink and drugs, even attending WWE sponsored rehab several years ago at the urging of good friend Kevin Nash after a suicide attempt in Mexico. Waltman would tell the Miami Herald newspaper earlier this year that the attempt to end it all was "the darkest moment of my life."
Despite all this, he spoke positively of his time in the rehab facility, and indicated he felt better going about his future as a recovering addict now that he had "the tools to deal with it."
