The WWN crew is heading to China for a four event tour! We have the details and a general update on things in this WWNLive Alerts. Let's get to it....

September 19th: Great Wall International Sports Media is bringing the WWN Family to China with shows that will feature the EVOLVE brand and stars. This will be a four event tour in the Hebei Province and Sichuan Province from November 10th to November 16th. This is the first time these wrestlers and the cutting edge EVOLVE style goes to China!

"We have been working on this for about three years so it did not just happen overnight," WWN President Sal Hamaoui said. "We are very excited for this opportunity to showcase the WWN and EVOLVE wrestlers in China. We are going to bring excitement and action that isn't like anything ever seen on that continent."

We will have more info on this tour in upcoming WWNLive Alerts.

Out of fucking nowhere. TLDR: Evolve Wrestling/FIP/Dragon Gate USA (but mainly Evolve, since FIP doesn't leave Florida and DGUSA is dead in the water) are doing a 6 day tour of China.

That's COMPLETELY out of left field and it's awesome news. China is fucking huge and has like 5 billion people over there. You can't fuck it up. Just can't. Looking forward to see Chinese smarks. Hopefully China develops as a pro-graps country.

Also, Meltzer reported this:

We’ve heard lots of good reports on Evolve over the weekend. Gabe Sapolsky has changed the format of the shows to straight matches, all singles matches, no intermission, with an emphasis on less high spots and more technical wrestling. He’s eliminating multiple person filler matches thinking that the three-and-four-way matches can get people to pop for them but everyone forgets about them five minutes after they are over. The philosophy is to vary times, have some matches build to a finish and others end with no build, just to show the end can come at any time. The idea is to keep the shows between two hours and 15 minute and two hours and 30 minutes.

The heavy technical style is going to be built around Timothy Thatcher, Drew Gulak, Biff Busick and Zack Sabre Jr. as the leaders of the new style. A lot of people were raving about Thatcher vs. Sabre Jr., on 9/13 in Queens. Some were comparing the 9/14 show in Brooklyn to a G-1 level show in that every match was good to great, with four matches in the **** range. Drew Galloway is really shining in this group. He beat Rich Swann and Roderick Strong over the weekend. Ricochet will continue to work for this group and the Dragon Gate USA group even though he’s signed with Lucha Underground.

But Lucha Underground will have the first priority on his dates.
