I would say Lesnar alone on a PPV card is probably worth close to 100k buys. He is a huge draw because he brings in eyes that weren't on the product before his return to WWE

That's the problem we have nowadays sadly, the casuals want the dream clashes whilst Vince wants the money in the present rather than taking a 50k hit in buys for one PPV to make a guy who could gain them 100k in the next year.

Which was an event, not an angle, which again shows that there isn't the major angle we were all hoping for ala Nexus or the summer of Punk

Exactly, but look at it from Vince's point of view, he may not be around another 10 years... so it's understandable that he tries to make his money now and get all the money he can out of Cena and the dream matches from the past, with no eye towards the future because he may not be around to see it.
