the 7/3 edition of WWECW on Sci Fi actually did a 1.2 cable rating with a 2.2 share and not the 1.5 rating that was reported earlier. This is a huge drop from the 1.7 rating the show drew a week prior. If I'm not mistaken, this has to be the lowest rating WWECW has ever draw on Sci Fi since it's debut last summer in 2006. It's also on par with what TNA has been doing as of late.

__________

I know this belongs in the Ratings section but this is just shocking..... WWECW actually got the same rating as Impact! from last week......LMAO

WWE just has to pull the plug on this shit, its seriously not worth it

ECW is a good idea, it builds up some of the lower mid-carders to the main event status... although this weeks ratings havent been as good you cannot axe it from one bad rating... TNA has had shit ratings every week and they are still on SpikeTV, just wait and see... next week will be higher, its just WWE doesnt really build up much on ECW its just matches, no real storylines to go with it. But just wait and see, ECW will be back at its 1.5 Avg, and TNA will still be 1.2 as normal.

I think the real insult is for TNA. TNA develops storylines, feuds, PPVs and have stars the caliber of Kurt and Christian, but still they tie with ECW, a federation with no storylines, one match per PPV and stars the caliber of the Miz and Viscera and they tie? No more comments

WWECW is a WWE brand, which means it is part of the most popular promotion in the world, they should at least be getting a 2.0 or above for that show. WWECW has been pushed by the WWE which explains why people watch, even with the crappy roster. Its part of the WWE which has been around for over 25 years so it is a joke that one of it's shows gets the same rating as a show that hasnt even been on the air for 5 years. TNA Impact! is only 1 hour which is the same as WWECW except TNA has over 50 wrestlers to push, they dont even have that much time to push the storylines and put on amazing matches (its possible with the roster they have) so it is rushed, which may turn off some viewers. Also, Impact! isnt even advertized that well. It is part of a promotion that is still growing therefore it will get lower ratings then the show that is part of a company that is the most popular in the entire world. The bottom line is, WWECW should be getting higher ratings than Impact! and not tieing because they are part of a company that has been around for a loooong time and is very popular. TNA Impact! is part of a company thats only been around for 5 years and isnt even that well known so for it to tie with WWECW which is part of a very well known company means that...IMO...WWE should be ashamed

WWE should be ashamed? For what, getting a 1.2 on one episode that ties TNA's rating? They should end ECW just because of it? Sorry, but that is pretty funny. I agree with King Ash, it'll be back up soon.

WWE shouldn't be ashamed for a one time rating of 1.2 for ECW because ECW is the equivalent to Velocity and Heat but it has some story lines instead. ECW is for developing stars have you noticed the main event Johnny Nitro, CM Punk, Marquis Cor Von, and Elijah Burkeh none of those guys would be in the main event in the regular roster but because of ECW when they come to the main roster they will be in the upper card and maybe in the main event.

The little place in the back of your mind that you
When Johnny Nitro is your champion this shit happens....nobody likes him

I totally agree with Ash there. It's a TV developmental territory, it's a good building block and TNA has no where near the fan base of the WWE.

By the way every time a rating (ECW in particular) why does somebody always have to bring up TNA instead of talking about ECW?

Can you tell me who Marquis Bronson is besides a character in the E-Fed.....

Wow when you put it in Perspective.

WWE's C Show ECW Draws Lowest Rating = 1.2

TNA Only Show iMPACT Draws Highest Rating = 1.2

And people think TNA could right now could compete with the WWE, TNA needs to get better management.

I'm so sick and tired of people saying that ECW just needs to be scrapped. it truly doesn't. it is a show to build up younger talent and then send them off to one of the Big shows (like what they did with Snitsky). Also, they had the whole new breed story for a wile and that was actually pretty entertaining.

Now, Punk and Nitro are starting their feud over the ECW championship. both of them are pretty good (not so much Nitro as Punk but still...) and their match at Vengeance wasn't bad... hopefully WWE spices it up somehow, instead of the same old you're the champion i want your title.

Compare ECW to what it was before; velocity or heat. Heat was around for a pretty long time, before they scrapped it. it was pretty bad, what with them just putting young no names against other lowcard guys, and using it for wrestler tryouts. Velocity, the same thing as heat, never had any storylines and really had no depth to the show besides two wrestlers who both wanted to win. Both of these shows sucked; plain and simple. ECW on the other hand is far better than any Heat or velocity show WWE ever produced.

Finally, i have to ask this. What would be different about ECW if Benoit didn't go crazy. We'd be seeing a Feud between Punk and Benoit, which i would've payed money to see. granted, he did go crazy and kill himself (as we all know) therefore that won't be happening; But if it did go through would you be saying you want ECW to get scrapped? No, you wouldn't. Just because it had a bad rating ;lst tuesday doesn't mean it's a failure... that's one week.

fuck it, this post is going in its own thread

Its apparently generally more worth it than TNA if you're going by ratings. TNA if anyone are the ones who should be embarassed, I mean you have thousands of TNA sheeple parading around and saying how much better it is than the WWE and TNA on their best day can't even beat the WWE's C show on their worst day.

Of course with the way you spin it you totally ignore that fact, but that's not surpirsing.

Come on, say it along with me... Baaaaaaaaaaaaaa
