I never seen prime Sting have a bad Match with anyone he was always giving and willing to take a whooping on his side to get the Match over. Austin for sure one of the ones WCW dropped the ball with and we all know the Story with him afterward

Yeah I do. I watched the first Austin v Rock match other day was great . Also Brock v Roman at Summerslam was the best match with them by far. Really liked Cowboy Brock he was great.

I remember watching the match when it appeared on the network and felt underwhelmed, Bret was his usual brilliance but it was nothing more than good.

I watched that documentary and the match when it first aired as well and tbh I don't even remember the match, the search was definitely the draw. But the point wasn't really that it was so good, it's how good Magee looked in it when he was so bad. It wasn't until years later they realized (or more accurately accepted probably) it was bc of Bret.

This is why Bret was so great, he could easily make somebody dreadful look good in the ring like nobody before or since could do.
