WWE, TNA forge pro wrestling partnership

WWE and TNA Wrestling have struck a multiyear partnership that will see TNA pro wrestlers regularly appear on NXT programming and vice versa, WWE told ESPN on Thursday.

TNA star Joe Hendry frequently appeared on NXT programming last year, culminating in an NXT championship match with Ethan Page at No Mercy. NXT is a developmental-focused brand produced by WWE.

Former TNA Knockouts world champion Jordynne Grace also appeared regularly on NXT programming in 2024, highlighted by an NXT women's championship match featuring Grace and Roxanne Perez at Battleground. Grace also was a surprise entrant in last year's WWE Royal Rumble.

Several NXT wrestlers also appeared on TNA Wrestling, including Wes Lee, Charlie Dempsey and Riley Osbourne.

"We look forward to growing and evolving our partnership with TNA Wrestling and its outstanding group of athletes by creating new opportunities to further the development of our talent and to elevate the viewer experience at home," said WWE senior vice president of talent development creative Shawn Michaels, who was one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

NXT airs every Tuesday on The CW Network, while "TNA iMPACT!" is a weekly program on AXS TV.

I love that they’ve made this official or extended it or what have you. Seeing the TNA women’s champion in the front row of the NXT event and stuff like that is just really cool to see. It’s great to see WWE get in on some of these relationships where they don’t just pretend everyone else doesn’t exist. I also love on the TNA app they even got an NXT section.

I wish some of this would include main roster tbh. Other than an occasional Rumble appearance. Like hell, I would like to see AJ Styles back in TNA doing something for a little bit.

On one hand it's good for tna to get more exposure

On the other the inevitable worry that the monopoly is growing is extremely concerning

They’re not gonna do anything full scale on the main roster because they’re doing their own thing and they always have but at least NXT is something. As far as AJ goes like that I’m sure if AJ asked Hunter to work an TNA event he wouldn’t say no.

I don’t believe Traci was the headliner so it doesn’t bother me. Who on the under car gets in before anyone else. Because he always intentionally save headliners to be a headliner anyway.

Also, I like Traci. She was a great valet. She was with them a long time.
