Vince wants to fix ecw

Vince McMahon is said to be on a mission to "fix" the ECW brand because he's had enough of the lowered ratings and the various problems. He wants to make it a brand that can stand on its own two feet and be a long-term permanent fixture in the WWE world.

Good luck tring to do fix ecw vince my suggestion do something with lashley, add some more extreme rules matches, and let RVD continue to win.

great news but it'll take alot to make ecw better, the superstars are great but they need more and more with alot of skill and better matches and more PPV's and better main events and maybe a GM

It is going to take alot of hard work to make ECW credible cause it just cant compete with either RAW or Smackdown right now

Well RVD might receive another push if he could prove to be responsible. I agree a 100% with Vince with not pushing RVD. The guy was busted with pot while he was holding both the WWE and ECW championship. I mean, come on, you are on top of the world and you are going to do something stupid like that and screw up. I think RVD is a phenominal athelete. His match against Edge and Kevin Thorne were really good this week and they stood out to me from what I saw. I think if he can keep up the good work and show he is responsible, then he should be pushed again. I think RVD would be a good fit in TNA. I could imagine some of the matches he would have with the likes of AJ Styles, Christophere Daniels, Somoa Joe, and the rest of the X Division.

The problem is that right only two guys as ECW champ would make the fans happy, but both those options have their problems.

There's RVD, he could get another title run but after what happened the first time we have to uderstand why Vince would be skeptical about giving RVD the belt. The other choice is CM Punk and although the IWC (myself included) would love to see this it won't happen...for now anyways. Punk hasn't been around long enough to be give a run with the title.

ANother they have to fix with ECW is their heels... Test, Holly and SNitsky, they're top heels on that brand...seriously. I'll leave at this... Vince has a lot of work ahead of him if he wants to fix this mess.

Is'nt there some kind of rumour going around that CM Punk might move to RAW to start feuding with Johnny Nitro?

Yup.... Word is that Punk and Nitro will be feuding for the MITB spot and that may include moving Punk to RAW.... Oh yeah, Punk's getting buried, he's being moved to the A show.

If that does happen it won't mean lot for ECW to be honest, although Punk is one of the few reason I watch ECW, he's not part of any important storylines and I rather see him go to RAW and really get a chance to shine.

Vince said the same thing a month ago. Ill believe it when i see it.

I think their biggest problem is that they dont have any credible heels. Whos their biggest heel? Elijah Burke? Snitsky? You cant just make guys into stars, without some buildup.

Vince doesnt want hardcore, he doesnt want to keep rvd, he doesnt more titles in ecw. He basically gives us no reason to tune into the show, besides CM Punk.

I think ECW (as we knew and loved it) is pretty much gone forever. (Particularly after they finish burying the "originals".) So, eventually, I see them having as few "extreme rules" matches as Raw and SD! have.

I think ECW never should have been brought back (as the name of a new brand) if they were just going to bastardize the name. But, it brought instant name recognition/credibility. Vince figured better sales/ratings.

Now that there is a mess to clean up, Vince needs to do a few things before he uses ECW as a viable ratings grabber. (Which is in almost direct opposition to the idea that ECW would be a higher profile OVW-type development federation, in my opinion.)

1. Vince needs to do something with what's on ECW: Punk is in need of a real push SOOOO bad, regardless of how long he's been with Vince. He deserves it and the knowledgeable fans want it.

2. They need to do something more than creating momentary heels: Test was brought back with all this fanfare and they did **** with him. Hardcore Holly is one of the toughest competitors in the E's history. He's losing to everyone! Now it's Snitsky. The hairless freak is beating everyone up. But, he's got no credibilty.

How do you build even the least amount of credibilty? Look at Umaga. He may not have talent (in-ring/mic), but he's got a mouthpiece and they wrote him as a monster and programmed it correctly. While maybe too rushed, he was a fairly viable challenger to Cena's title. The other three guys mentioned above can possibly be salvaged (or at least one of them can), but they need to be careful with Monte. Don't ruin him like you did the other guys. (And they started out with a pretty stupid name. Who knows? Maybe it'll just take some getting used to.) Elijah Burke could be something too. Just develop him correctly.

3. Rather than try to fix everything on one show, bring back the lottery. This time, there are 3 picks each round, not two. Leave some of ECW on ECW (the viable pieces). Take on or two big names away (PUNK you goobs......... get him to Raw!). Bring in some bigger names (Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio, Chris Masters, types.) and one or two huge names (Finley, Benoit, or Orton types). Develop other names that you hope to be big on Raw or SD!. Then they're viable on either of the "big shows" or back in ECW. Plus, the other bigger names on ECW will give that brand more credibility for a later date in case they start infusing the "newer" people and get ECW into that "training ground" mode.
