WWE Smackdown Spoilers 9/28/12

Here's the results for this weeks Smackdown.

* Big Show opens SmackDown and he’s not happy. He wants the World Heavyweight Title. Randy Orton comes out and hypes their match tonight. Ricardo Rodriguez and Alberto Del Rio are out next. Del Rio says he’s the one who should get the next title shot. Orton ended up hitting a RKO on Del Rio and facing off with Show.
* Antonio Cesaro defeated Santino Marella with the United States Title on the line.
* Beth Phoenix beat Natalya.
* Eve Torres comes out and announces that Beth Phoenix is suspended while the Kaitlyn attack from Night of Champions is investigated. Booker T comes out and reverses the suspension. Eve blames everything on Teddy Long and storms off.
* Wade Barrett beat Zack Ryder.
* The Miz comes out for another MizTV segment. His guest is Sheamus but they’re interrupted by Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero. They end up fighting and Sheamus cleans house.
* Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow defeated The Usos.
* Ryback squashed Tensai.
* Randy Orton vs. Big Show is up next. Alberto Del Rio attacks Orton as he’s making his entrance.
* Big Show defeated Randy Orton in the main event. Show vs. Sheamus is announced for Hell In a Cell.

Tensai... Go back to Japan. Big Show vs Sheamus is the cell should be an all out massacre. I LOVE IT.

Well being knocked out by Big Show then squashed by Ryback certainly isn't gonna help him.

glad you read my post...or at least commented on it....you see those two things would lead to someone being sick of gimmick and make one want to change it....enter the scenario I just laid out

Remember MVPs losing streak. Turning face really helped him a lot he regained his popularity and despite leaving the company a little later the change helped him a lot.

These results don't show it, but the Rhodes Scholars/Usos tag match was the first in a 8 team knockout tournament to determine Team Hell No's challengers at HIAC.

- A tournament to crown new #1 contenders to WWE Tag Team Champions Kane and Daniel Bryan will be announced on this Friday's SmackDown. The first-round matches look like this:

* Zack Ryder and Santino Marella vs. Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel

* Kofi Kingston and R-Truth vs. Darren Young and Titus O'Neil

* Epico and Primo vs. Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara

* The Usos vs. Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow

The winners will face Kane and Bryan for the titles, presumably at Hell In a Cell next month.

The tag tournament sounds sweet, as much as I want to hope Kidd & Gabriel progress, it's blatantly going to be Santino & Ryder

The writers aren't that creative. Something as simple as that will do fine.

true, but for a mid card act, they likely won't put too much effort into it. Look at Encore, one minute they're 3 guys jobbing most weeks, now all of a sudden they're best buds and in a stable together.

And people dropping gimmicks because they feel they are jokes has been going on forever in wrestling it's an age old tradition... Look at Road Dogg and Billy Gunn they did the same thing to form the New Age Outlaws and they seem to do pretty well.
