WrestlingObserver.com is reporting that there is a lot of second guessing about the Raw pairing of Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler and apparently, it's increasing each week. Vince McMahon is reportedly upset with Michael Cole's performance thus far on Raw and it has led to him and others doubting the decision to switch him and Jim Ross.

Additionally, the story states that they have considered finding a way to bring Jim Ross back to Monday Night Raw. These talks are considered small right now and as it stands, Vince simply wants to try and make Michael Cole what he wants him to be therefore holding off on any possibility of bringing Ross back to Raw.

WrestleZone.com spoke with someone very close to the situation and this report was completely news to them. They had not heard of any such talk and also explained that Jim Ross is very happy with his position on Smackdown! as it allows him most weekends off to spend with his family, including daughters and granddaughters.

They added, "Cole will do just fine if he is allowed to get settled in to his new role and he deserves the opportunity to do so. If Raw has any 'major issues' it isn’t the announcing".

I hated the switch at first but after watching Raw for a couple of weeks, Cole has really grown on me. And he doesn't botch every 15 seconds

I said this would happen when he was first drafted. The same thing happened when Joey Styles was working on RAW. Everytime, Vince tries to "mess" with JR, then he realizes that Ross is simply a better announcer than Michael "Modified Move" Cole.

But really, I don't get why everyone is so down on Cole. He's a fine play-by-play announcer, and he didn't call the Whisper in the Wind a Twist of Fate like 17 times before finally getting it.

No, but he did call it a "modified backflip" >_>

I don't mind Cole i think he is a pretty good announcer and i don't really see the problem with him being on raw. TBH I'm more in grossed in the matches than the commentating anywayz. Plus J.R is no spring chicken and Cole IMO will have replaced him anyway its just earlier than it would have been.

Cole is a good announcer for Raw...Just look at the WM24 main event, there wasn't the drama JR could create. I wish he announced this match. But I don't think it's something you can improve and work, you have it or not. Xole doesn't have it

Michael Cole is doing fine, since JR is actually enjoying working on Smackdown! I don't see a need to change up anouncers again

Cole sucks and SP called this and when he did I completely agreed.

Does JR mess up a move every now and then? Sure he does. Does he call the twist of fate that, it's that twisting finisher again for 6 straight weeks? No, not at all.

JR's the best announcer in wrestling history and one of reasons I've turned into more of a SD! fan than a Raw fan.

I think the switch was awesome...What WWE was aiming to do was obviously change things up...and they have done that...Sure it's going to take a while to get used to...but it does add variety...

I don't mind cole he is alright he was working well with King back in 2002 before he worked with JBL before he worked with Tazz (his best partner imo) and before he worked with Foley right after the big draft in 02 him and King were together till 03 it was alright but seriously JR is best for raw he worked with raw since i don't know when since Raw started and he needs to be back in .

I much prefer Cole to Jim Ross in general. That said, JR and Foley have incredible chemsitry together, so I enjoy that pairing the most. I'd say things are where they should be.

See here is how I see it. Cole is good but not JR good. Jim Ross is probly the best ever. It is like this, Jim Ross is like Ric Flair and Michael Cole is like Chris Jericho, Cole is still really good, but Ross is just in a league of his own. No matter how hard anyone tries Jim Ross is gunna be the best and will probly always will be.
