Apparently WWE has scrapped their initial long-term plan for Brad Maddox. There were ideas floating around regarding Brad and CM Punk being aligned and booking the HIAC screw job as Punk & Heyman buying Maddox’s loyalty by promising him a contract. The reason it has been scrapped is that WWE don’t want any unnecessary affiliations with Punk going into his angle with The Rock, they feel the Maddox angle has lost momentum.

No word yet on whether they will be doing the same with Shield, although that seems very unlikely.

I found the angle interesting but then again it wasn't a major part of the show therefore it's not much of an issue. I don't blame them for not wanting any altercations with The Rock or CM Punk storyline.

I'll admit that Brad Maddox is pretty entertaining, although we've only seen a couple glimpses of him, so I hope the removal from this angle doesn't bury him. I think it was posted in another thread that Maddox would screw Punk and that was hinted on last weeks Raw, so that might be worth watching as well. Lets say Rock doesn't want to do Elimination Chamber, which I'm willing to bet will be the case unless he's out of his pod last, CM Punk will need some type of rivalry on the way to Wrestlemania and Brad Maddox might be an ok choice for that for the time being, something quick, not a PPV match because we have yet to see what the guy can really do in the ring.

Or perhaps someone from WWE creative has read this site and has seen our flaming of Maddox. Wouldn't it be funny if BLFFL's love for Maddox and our constant ragging on him was the cause of his burying?

Extreme marking for him sort of makes me happy to hear this, but impartially speaking, WWE once again changes their mind and stuff. Let's see how he ends up.

I don't really want him around the title picture. The only reason why the Ryback thing was okay was because it was surprising. Now, let him go to the bottom, have a storyline and a fued with Tyson kidd and work his way up, and keep him far away from punk, rock, and even shield for now.

Serious question, is this BLFFL character serious or is it a joke? Everytime i read her posts i immediately think "haha, sarcasm at its best"... And then i have that scary feeling that this person might be serious.

I'd rather him work his way up too. There are plenty of other talent he can feud with. I'm glad they stopped with him and failing all these contract offers, it was stale.
