Six weeks since suffering an attack at the hands of Randy Orton and one week after Beth Phoenix felt The Viper's bite, Edge finally returns to Monday Night Raw. Tune in live at 8/7 C on USA Network.
Edge returns to Raw following Orton’s attacks on Beth Phoenix
In the weeks since he was put out of commission by a ruthless attack at the hands of Randy Orton, Edge has been conspicuous by his absence the last month or so, seemingly focusing on his recovery. In the interim, however, Orton’s malice has gone unchecked, culminating in an RKO to Edge’s wife and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix when she attempted to give an update on Edge’s condition. Now, we’ll finally hear from the man himself.
In the wake of Orton’s latest strike, The Rated-R Superstar will return to Raw once again this Monday, and there will be plenty to address. From The Apex Predator’s recent attacks to the status of his wife to Orton’s brazen claim that he injured Edge to save him from himself, it will be a night of many revelations from a man whose unbelievable career continues to evolve in unexpected ways.
Rey Mysterio vs. Angel Garza set for Raw
Lost in the four-way tussle between Raw’s resident Latino icons is the unsettled bad blood between Rey Mysterio and Angel Garza, who put the Grand Slam Champion out of action with a Hammerlock DDT to the exposed concrete of an arena floor. Tonight, Rey has a chance to finally get even.
The Ultimate Underdog will square off against Garza for the first time since the latter’s Raw debut, a match that led to the aforementioned attack that put Mysterio on the shelf. Now that Rey is back in the swing of things, he has a chance to repay the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion for his aggression, though Garza has been on a steady upward climb since the second he showed up, and his confidence is clearly at an all-time high. Retribution will not be easily achieved.
Drew McIntyre in action on tonight’s Raw
The Road to WrestleMania has begun, and Drew McIntyre is about to take his first steps in earnest down the path to Suplex City. The Men’s Royal Rumble Match winner and challenger to WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will be in action on Raw tonight, just one week after demolishing Lesnar with a trifecta of Claymores. Tune in tonight at 8/7 C to see who McIntyre will be facing, and how many times they’ll be kicked in the face.
Who will make the first move now that The Man’s WrestleMania showdown against Baszler is set in stone?
Shayna Baszler marched ruthlessly through the Elimination Chamber to set up a battle between herself and Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, giving The Man the fight she wanted against the opponent she’s been goading for weeks. How long until the fireworks start?
Baszler has been uncommonly restrained since her initial, ravenous attack of Lynch, choosing instead to intimidate her Chamber opponents. The Man, meanwhile, has been trying to beckon Shayna into a fight at every possible turn, parading around in crowns and mink coats to establish her own superiority. Now that the Chamber is in the rearview, though, Shayna is focusing solely on Lynch, and Becky doesn’t have to do any more prying to get the fight she wants. These two definitely aren’t making it to WrestleMania without at least one throwdown, so how long until the fists start flying?
