On WWE.com, the live event listing for the 6/29 PPV in Dallas, TX is being billed as just "Night of Champions" and not what it is usually called, which is Vengeance. It remains to be seen if this is just a typo on their part or a legit name change.

Osama's Note: If you go to the WWE homepage and scroll down, they have a PPV schedule, which is still labelled with "Vengeance" for 6/29. I'm thinking it'll be like last year, with "Night of Champions" meaning all the belts will be on the line.

well if you consider the women's title as the other titles, then i guess you need to buy Playboy magazines and try vote for TDK to marry J-Dawg in an official church that should support the emo pride! :p

Anyway, yes thats true. but still the main titles were "untouched"

Yea it was night of champions last year, no big surprise here. However I feel a new tide is turning in the WWE, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a title change here. But it's too far off to know what the matches will be and if they will be legit enough to win a title.

Good point about the Women's Title. The fact that I forgot that shows how much that title means to me. One title that should be pushed is the Cruiserweight Title. But the fact that it appears alongside the retired WCW and ECW titles in the title histories section of wwe.com, I guess they won't be bringing it back for a while :D

And Johnny Nitro err.. I mean John Morrison won the vacant ECW Championship so that counts as a title change too. So out of 9 championship matches only two crowned new champions.

Yeah, just drop the Vengeance name and call it WWE: Night of Champions. Much better name anyways.

Peep,
Yea that is true. Vengence sounds kind of like an evil thing, then they give it the distinction of Night Of Champions which makes it sound like a big extravagent thing. I agree change it to NOC, sounds better.

Night of Champions does sound very cool. Bit like Bound for Glory which echoes of grandeur for me.

It's become like an annual tradition for WWE. Vengeance is a unique one-of-a-kind PPV with all the Championships of WWE on the line, although it's not that fascinating to see Champions walk away and regain Championships but the matches are pretty exciting and that's what really matters.

I'm looking forward to The Night of Champions! And hopefully there will be some major Championship changes on this PPV.
