RISTOL, Conn. and STAMFORD, Conn. (August 6, 2025)—ESPN, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS), and WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: TKO), today announced a landmark rights agreement as ESPN platforms, including the new ESPN direct-to-consumer streaming service, will become the exclusive U.S. domestic home of all WWE Premium Live Events (PLEs), including the two-night cultural phenomenon WrestleMania, starting in 2026. This deal makes ESPN home to the highest-profile WWE events of the year.

The ESPN DTC service will stream all WWE PLEs annually, in their entirety, with select simulcasting on ESPN linear platforms. Marquee PLEs include WrestleMania and SummerSlam – both two-night events – and Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, Money in the Bank, among others. WWE will continue to produce all PLEs.

Jimmy Pitaro, Chairman, ESPN: “WWE has an immense, devoted and passionate fanbase that we’re excited to super-serve on our new ESPN DTC platform. This agreement, which features the most-significant WWE events of the year, bolsters our unprecedented content portfolio and helps drive our streaming future.”

Mark Shapiro, President and Chief Operating Officer, TKO: “We are proud to reinforce the ‘E’ in ESPN at such an exciting juncture in its direct-to-consumer journey. WWE Premium Live Events are renowned for exactly the type of rich storytelling, incredible feats of athleticism and can’t-miss, cultural tentpole experiences that have become synonymous with ESPN. Through our UFC relationship, we have experienced firsthand how transformational an ESPN presence can be, and we know this will be an exceptional partnership at a time of great innovation for both companies.”

Nick Khan, President, WWE: “WWE’s agreement with ESPN is a pivotal moment for our millions of fans across the United States: the leader in sports entertainment partnering with the biggest brand in sports media. Bringing WWE’s flagship events to ESPN’s platform is tremendously exciting. We know the sky is the limit.”

ESPN platforms, including its DTC service, will have the opportunity to stream WWE’s pre-and post-event shows tied to all Premium Live Events.

All of ESPN. All in One Place. Coming Soon.

For the first time ever, ESPN will offer its full suite of networks and services directly to fans, along with an enhanced ESPN App that integrates game stats, betting information, fantasy sports, commerce, multiview options and a personalized SportsCenter For You. Designed to give fans more choice, flexibility and access to all of ESPN, these new features and functionality will be available to all fans who watch on the ESPN App on mobile and connected TV devices, whether they subscribe directly or through a traditional pay TV package.

Interesting considering UFC has been kinda vocal about looking for a different broadcast partner when their ESPN deal is up.

This is crazy. Still unsure how the ESPN DTC thing will work. Unsure if I will be able to get it through my cable provider or if I gotta shell out money for it.

I also hope the shows will not revert to the Pay Per View model.

They've been trying to get this sports streaming service off the ground for awhile with various partner, at least I assume this is the result of those attempts finally happening. I'm very skeptical it goes well off the bat, they can probably survive long term tho. UFC has major issues with PPVs at times still and ESPN+ is a horrible app for the most part to use, they just survive on the content, so this one will probably be the same way. Hopefully it's more like Disney+ or Hulu and less like ESPN+ for consumers

It does look like you can log in with your cable provider, so if you already get ESPN through a service provider you won't have to spend the $29.99/month.

But also the fact that select shows will be on LINEAR is fucking crazy. WRESTLEMANIA will end up being on ESPN.

This is kinda bonkers.

I just can't understand that logic.

Their previous deal expired and they got a new, better deal. Why does that make them greedy cunts? Why should they stay with them when they got a better offer from a more reputable network?

if you think this isn’t gonna cost the consumers more money then respectfully you’re just not being realistic

It’s also better for the customer than paying $50 a show like we had to before the Network.

Yes cuz going backwards after we moved forward is a solid business plan. We also didn’t used to have to buy a new service to watch Raw either

I currently have a cable service. I can log in with my cable account and get access. So it wouldn't cost money. Also, SELECT SHOWS INCLUDING WRESTLE FUCKING MANIA WILL BE ON THE CABLE CHANNEL. So I don't have to pay additional. it will literally be on my TV provider I already pay for.

Here's a breakdown for you.
Peacock is $10.99 a month in addition to my cable bill.
Netflix is $7.99 in addition to my cable bill.
ESPN is $0.00 in addition to my cable bill.

Let me do some math for you. Currently I pay $18.98 a month in addition to my cable bill to watch 100% of live WWE content. When WWE PLEs leave Peacock and I can end my Peacock subscription, I will start paying $7.99 a month to watch 100% of live WWE content. That is $10.99 less than I was previously paying.

Yeah I don’t believe it’s gonna be free to watch PLE’s on TV. But I’m gonna leave it at that cuz you’re getting snarky and I wanna keep my cool.

I mean it is literally in the press release that select shows will be on linear TV. That means they'll be on the TV Channels that ESPN has. So by definition they will be free to watch with your existing cable lineup.

But who cares about facts when you can just shit on WWE.
