Dave Meltzer is reporting that after WWE first received the 2.5 RAW rating last week, there was serious panic at WWE headquarters. One idea that was being tossed around at the time was to combine the RAW, ECW and SmackDown rosters and do away with the tri-branded formats. Nothing will probably come of this, but the idea was being tossed around. Either way, expect WWE to somewhat start all over tomorrow night on RAW.

- If you missed it yesterday, the new WWE Unforgiven poster features The Undertaker. The inDemand website has just posted the following preview for WWE Unforgiven:

"Prepare yourself for the return of the Undertaker at WWE Unforgiven. No one escapes their destiny when the Deadman comes calling."

I know, but at least WWE have it on the back of their minds. If Raw gets another disastrous rating, then, it could have a chance

Look at all the wrestlers they have in all 3 brands and merging them into 1 brand would need a complete overhaul of the roster and would mean several people would have to be released, but it won't happen anyway.

Undertakers return is exciting me and hopefully he comes back and helps out smackdown and get that title off Khali.

The good thing about merging is great storylines and fresh matches. The bad is guys like Burke and Punk will suffer and won't get a chance to shine like they have been and people like Ken Doane will most likely be released and he has more talent than most people.

Altough, WWE could end the brand extension, accept the 3 hour proposal from USA for Raw.

Raw: 3 hours

ECW: 1 hour

Smackdown: 2 hours

It is 6 hours of programming. My bet is that the likes of Punk would be active regularly. Also if this happens you know USA would bet WWE from using the likes of Cena,HHH,HBK, etc every time on the other shows. The same with CW, so it would be balanced. Altough there wouldn't be the same amount of pushes as nowadays

3 hours of RAW!? That would just make TNA nothing, probably.

If all doesn't go well with another idea that they have, then they do have this as a backup. But as several people have already mentioned, that means releasing superstars (which can't be good).

Why would you title it "wwe merging all brands?"when it states that it clearly isnt?Lmao...
Anyways I know thats how it was titled on the news sites as well so its alll good. And I think it would be pretty cool but they would need to sort out a sort of "push" system to make sure they have room for everyone.
And yep Takers return should be sweet and Im loking forward to it:)

yes!! *THIS* is what I have been waiting for! Fucking finally! I really hope WWE's ratings continue to decline and they decide to get rid of the "Brands". Imagine having just 1 World Champion again, imagine having every show filled with all the top stars again, this is great news and I just hope ratings go even further down and WWE finally ends this brands crap, it could be the turn around that the WWE needs!

Why don't WWE just merge Raw & Smackwon & carry ECW on as a seperate brand... Cut down the main roster a bit & move them to ECW & then you have Ratings + guys like punk & Burke still get their place!

F55 that is a pretty good idea imo. Becuase then SD and RAW will be the top class shows and then the rising superstars on ECW and throw the TT Titles in ECW and then everything will be fine

This could be a great answer plus it could get rid of superstars like Khali and Big Daddy V , Boogeyman. It could once again be about the wrestling, and it will be the best thing if they ever want to come close to being like the attitude era
