World Wrestling Entertainment is looking to bring in some lucha libre talent to the SmackDown and ECW brand, with Rey Mysterio now on the Raw brand. The company has been looking at former WWE Superstar Essa Rios who now works as Mr. Aguilera in Mexico. WWE are also interested in a wrestler known as Damien 666.

I guess this is good news. I don't really know any Lucha Libre talent but I'm sure they will add to the Smackdown! brand, hopefully WWE signs them

Essa Rios is a hell of a competitor.. I remember his match in the WWE i think if im not mistaken was against Joe? anyway he won that match with good performance.

I head they offered a contract to Dos Caras Jr, but he turned them down because they wanted to send him to FCW to learm the American Style.

Mistico and Perro Aguayo Jr. also turned them down. Supposely they are making with CMLL $16000 a week.

Mistico didn't turn them down, he had a contract with CMLL from what I heard. All the good talent isn't going, so this isn't great.

Good god no. They really do want to turn the WWE into a cartoon.

First, the kids mag, then no blood, now a bunch of masked guys flying around. Quite frankly, one masked superhero is enough.

I for one would like to see Cinernetico in the WWE. He's got that badass look.

And Cenamark, I believe WWE would make them take out their masks

Uh, these regular size Luchas are midgets in Vince McMahon's eyes.

I can see no good coming from this. Whichever Luchas would be stupid enough to sign with WWE would have their moveset basically cut in half and they would be misused and buried until they're released 6 months later.

^lol on the second part, I think itd be very interesting to see what comes of this if the WWE signs some Luchas... they might as well sign Nacho Libre then if they wanna go THAT far

this could be really good. it would more than likely bring the Crusierweight Title back which i know most people want anyways just in time for Gregory Helmes to return too. As long as Vince doesnt care about the high flying, risk takers, Evan Bourne is huge step using the SSP, this could all work out fine.

If they do this they better bring in Human Tornado and not mess with his character at all. I would love to see some dance offs in the WWE

I'm not going complain about Essa rios coming back.. i enjoyed him in his time of 97-2001 with the wwe.. He might be a bit older now, but i won't mind them bringing in some lucha's wrestlers...
