WWE Interested In AJ Styles?

WWE officials have reportedly changed their thoughts on signing former TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles.

AJ is the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion and considers New Japan Pro Wrestling to be home, and is under contract, but WWE is interested in signing him. WWE is looking to have three touring brands in 2016 and want to load up on as much quality talent as they can.

It's prolly not happening, but not like I'd lose sleep at night if he never came to the 'E.

He's killing it in ROH and NJPW right now, so... All's kewl.

Styles is better off on the indy's.. He'll be more entertaining and he can work where he wants.. Unless he get's Joe's type of deal which is unlikely.. NXT is stacked enough, wish WWE would stop scooping all these indy talent. There's going to be no one left on the indy's when the E is done with them.

Would be interesting if they get him in. It kinda questions me what exactly they would do with him though. They have lots of talent as it is.

I think he might settle in NXT because he's pushing 40 and is a known family mark. Long term it might be best for him based on NXT becoming a touring brand.

An update:

- We noted before that WWE officials had changed their mind on AJ Styles, as they have some interest in bringing him in now when before they didn't. It should be noted that while their interest level has changed, nothing is expected to happen any time soon because Styles is under contract to New Japan Pro Wrestling until the end of this year.
