USA Network CEO, Bonnie Hammer is pushing for the return of Halftime Heat. The concept is to produce an episode of WWE Heat during the halftime of the Super Bowl. You may remember the infamous Rock, Mankind empty arena match in 1999.

It's an amazing slot to have, giving them huge potential ratings and a much wider audience than usual.

Hmmmmm, this could be interesting

The Mankind/Rock match was brill and this is a good way to get a wider audience as you said. Any dates for about when it might happen cos it could hype WM24 more.

I dont think it will matter. Even with a full roster it wont do much ratings. If they had hhh and cena on it often there might be a rise in ratings but nothing more.

How long is Halftime Heat? Maybe they could get Cena or Trips on it but get some mid-carders/rookies to show off there skills like Shelton, Carlito, Cody even!

I like it, but people who arent wrestling fans could easily just change the channel but others could watch it and like Nancy Di Loreto said there probably wont be storylines

Not necessarily, for example if it were right now, it could feature John Cena vs Randy Orton. It would be a great match for people who don't regularly watch and an advance in storyline for regulars

Halftime Heat has only aired once, and it was during halftime of the Superbowl in 1999. It was only one match (Rock vs. Mankind for the WWF Championship).

If they were goin to do it again, it would definitely be during the Superbowl which is less than a month before Wrestlemania.

As long as the halftime at the Superbowl. There is only time for one 20 minute match.
