-- WWE has dropped New Year's Revolution from their pay-per-view schedule for 2008 and beyond. The 2008 edition was scheduled to take place on January 6. This comes after they dropped December to Dismember from the pay-per-view schedule earlier in the year. The company noticed that they did better than expected buys for SummerSlam this year, with five weeks in between pay-per-view, and that the pay-per-views that weren't doing well were the ones that were sandwiched in between several other shows. There will now be six weeks in between Armageddon on December 16 and the Royal Rumble on January 27.

it's about time they dropped this ppv where they even going to have an elimination chamber at next years one probally not i'd rather start the year off with the royal rumble then NYR

Hmmm I always thought it would have great to have one on the first sunday of the new year. Obviously WWE don't think so. I would rather remove NWO or GAB. Removing NWO would have the winner of the RR to bring the feud all the way to WM without a match in between. GAB serves no real purpose either since it's not an elite PPV and it's the post WM period where nothing really happens anyway.

Well the amazing thing is that this is the third time this has been posted!

The Great American bash dates back to the NWA days and so It's a big PPV where for the last 2 years Championships have changed hands, I don't think WWE will consider dropping a big Event as GAB and No Way Out is also another big PPV as it started back in the Attitude Era and they won't drop that PPV as well. As for NYR it wasn't that bad to be dropped by WWE but Anyways!

Just how it used to be. Armageddon, last PPV of the year.

I'm all for a 6-way HIAC. MVP instead of JBL (as CMS said)

Would you be against that?

I can already see it:

Batista vs Taker vs Edge vs The Great Khali vs Mark Henry vs Rey Mysterio or JBL(yeah, I think he will be back)

OF COURSE NOT! and the match sounds right, i predicted that JBL's going to get his ass back and who knows? he might even win the title at armageddon then lose it at the royal rumble. after that, they can start the edge/taker rivalry heading for WM :)

Bout time! Elimination Chamber was the only thing about that event that bought me!

I still think WWE needs less PPV's, preferably 12 or less. My hope is that they get rid of "One Night Stand" & "Cyber Sunday" for next year so it ends up being 12 PPV's a year again!

January: Royal Rumble
Febuary: No Way Out
March/April: Wrestle-Mania!
April: Backlash
May: Judgment Day
June: Vengance
July: Great American Trash
August: Summerslam
Septeber: Unforgiven
October: No Mercy
November: Survivor Series
December: Armageddon

That right there would be my PPV schedule... I would personnaly swap "King Of The Ring" in to it as well, maybe instead of Vengance...

GA Trash has more History though, therefore the likelyhood of It going is not likely!

That's what I'm saying, in a perfect world that would happen. But since GAB is much more prestigious than Vengance there obviously going to take that out... IF they ever were thinking of brining back KOTR!
