I posted this about a week ago. It still shocks me how much Great Khali is paid.

Mark Henry with the 10 year contract surprised me. He must be a pretty good co worker

Yeah, and also the Big Show. I think WWE offers standard 5 or 10 year deals now to their talent.

That is nice. ALso it's pretty interesting to see the lower end contracts and how if they lost their jobs how they would struggle to get by only making 70,000k. It's not like you can make that last awhile.

Completely agree. It's mainly the divas who're paid around that amount of money. I'm pretty shocked that Jinder Mahal is on that amount and the same for Darren Young. I'm sure they'll have clauses in their contracts which initiates a pay upgrade at some point.

I hope so because it seems like only a few have those god awful contracts.

Yeah, hopefully. Funny thing is though I can't see them getting a better contract than that at any other wrestling company. TNA won't break the bank for Jinder Mahal you know? So I guess for them It's either WWE or Indies? Where they might get $5,000 per appearance or something.

They can always get better and make more but for some of them i doubt that. I guess they will have to get real jobs if they lost their spot on the E roster.

Exactly the better and more marketable they become for the WWE, the more money they will receive I suppose.

And I wouldn't think it would be a case of getting a regular job. Divas and stuff will go into modeling and that career path. Whilst most wrestlers get into wrestling because they live, breathe & eat it. So they'll no doubt move from independent promotions and so on.

Most of them don't have creative control of their character so they have to start from scratch if left with a new persona... YIKES

Yep, that's the harsh world of the wrestling business.

There are other companies that can dish out a decent salary for a wrestler that shows talent. AAA, CMLL, NJPW, AJPW. Japan pays well I think and it is a good environment for wrestlers, a lot of American wrestlers go to Japan and work and come back much better. Ring of Honor and Dragon Gate USA as well to some extent
