WWE Monday Night RAW
July 21st 2008
The Preview

Last night at The Great American Bash, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk went into battle with The Animal Batista. However the match didn't go as either of them planned. Both men ended up brawling on the outside causing the referee to count them both out. With that being said CM Punk retained the World Heavyweight Championship, and will be going to RAW tonight with the belt firmly around his waist. However Batista on the other hand will be going to RAW with nothing. How will Batista react? And what will CM Punk have to say on the situation?

John Cena and John Bradshaw Layfield went into a parking lot brawl last night at The Great American Bash. However no one expected the amount of violence that both men showcased. In the end JBL managed to get the victory, will he be coming out to gloat on Monday Night RAW? And how will John Cena react after finally being beaten by his nemesis JBL?

Chris Jericho who has recently gone down a path of destruction went to new heights at The Bash when he pummeled Shawn Michaels with right hands, causing for the match to be stopped. It was then later reported that Shawn Michaels had torn his retena. Will Shawn Michaels be on RAW tonight? Or has Chris Jericho took things too far and ended the career of The Heart Break Kid? One thing that is certain is that Jericho's follower Lance Cade will be in action.

For the last several weeks on RAW, The Big Red Machine has been on a rampage. Every week he would come down to the ring and cause some sort of destruction, whether it would be attacking RAW announcers Michael Cole and King, or even attacking camera men like last night at The Bash. Kane is also known for carrying a burlap sack. No one knows just what's inside it, but is Kane going to reveal soon?

So don't miss WWE Monday Night RAW tonight on USA, for all the answers to these burning questions.

--------------------

OOC: Thank you for the comments so far. I would just like to point out that the only reason I'm doing a current day thread after The Bash is because I would like to give myself the challenge of getting the company out of the slumps, and turning it around into the exciting company it once was. Monday Night RAW could be up tonight or tomorow. Also yes I will be writing in detailed recapps. I prefer that style no matter how many shows I write:)

WWE Monday Night RAW
July 21st 2008

Tonight RAW opened up with a video package showing everything RAW related that went on at this Sunday's PPV The Great American Bash. It shows Chris Jericho beating up Shawn Michaels so bad that he damaged his retena. Then it shows John Bradshaw Layfield defeating John Cena in a Parking Lot Brawl. Then finally it showed Batista and CM Punk fight to a countout, meaning that CM Punk is still the World Heavyweight Champion. After this the usual RAW opening video plays and we are live in the arena with Michael Cole and Jerry The King Lawler. They welcome us to the show and go through the events of last night.

Then the music of World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk hits the speaker system and the crowd go wild as he makes his way down to the ring with his belt around his waist. Michael Cole and King talk about last night at The Great American Bash when Batista and CM Punk faught to a countout. Punk gets in the ring and takes a microphone. he says no body thought he could do it, nobody though he could come back to RAW tonight with the World Heavyweight Championship, but he did. This got a big cheer. Punk says last night at The Great American Bash he and Batista gave everything they had. But in the end it ended up in a countout. Punk is then about to speak until the music of Batista hit. The crowd cheered, but not as loud as they did when CM Punk came out. Batista got a microphone and said that he didn't expect Punk to do as well as he did last night, but he has to say that, he only has the World Heavyweight Championship because of a countout. Batista says if they went at it properly, he would be the one standing here on RAW as the World Heavyweight Champion. However they were both interupted by the music of John Bradshaw Layfield. The crowd boo heavily as JBL came out to the ring in his limo. He came into the ring and got a microphone. JBL says Punk and Batista can stand out here and argue all night, but it isn't going to get them anywhere. He says he should be the next in line for a World heavyweight Championship match because he has been carrying this company for years and years now. JBL then says he was the longest and best Champion in SMACKDOWN history a few years ago, and he would have no problem doing it again on RAW. However JBL was cut off by the music of John Cena. The crowd went wild as John Cena made his way down to the ring. Cena got into the ring and also got a microphone. He says that JBL did beat him in the Parking Lot Brawl last night, but that is only once, Cena says he has forgot how many times he has beat JBL. This angers JBL and he cutts Cena off. However the music of Y2J Chris Jericho hits and he makes his way down to the ring as the crowd boo. Jericho gets in the ring and says if anyone gets a World Heavyweight Championship match it should be him, after all he was the first ever Undisputed Heavyweight Champion, and he ended the career of Shawn Michaels last night. This gets the crowd even more riled up. However all five men then started arguing among each other, all wanting a piece of CM PUnk's world Heavyweight Championship. Then everything comes to an abrupt end when the music of Stephanie McMahon hits. The crowd seemed a little confused. Stephanie comes to the stage and says she came out here because she has an announcement. She says over the last few months, things on RAW have been getting out of control. She says that's why right here, right now on Monday Night RAW, she would like to introduce the new general manager of RAW......ME! That's right Stephanie McMahon is the new RAW general manager. The fans are really fifty-fifty on this matter. However Stephanie carries on, she says it seems like her first course of action will be the events going on with the World Heavyweight Championship. She says there are five people in that ring right now. One World Heavyweight Champion, and four hungry challengers. That's why she has booked the biggest blockbuster main event at Summerslam. It's going to be World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, versus The Animal Batista, versus John Bradshaw Layfield, versus John Cena, versus Y2J Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship, in a five man anything goes match. The crowd go wild at this announcement. Stephanie's music then plays and she walks behind the curtain, leaving all five men standing in the ring amongst each others thoughts.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

When we return to Monday Night RAW, we get a video package hyping up the return of Saturday Night's Main Event, which will be on Saturday August 2nd 2008.

~ Then we hear the music of Lance Cade.

Cade comes down to the ring and gets a microphone. He says last night at The Great American Bash, his boss Chris Jericho (majour boos) ended the career of The Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels. He continues talking over the boo's. he says Shawn Michaels deserved it, and the World Wrestling Entertainment is going to be a damn better place without that old washed up has been. Cade then throws the microphone down onto the mat and waits for his opponent.

~ Then the music of Rey Mysterio hits and he makes his way down to the ring getting an amazing pop.

So Lance Cade took on Rey Mysterio in the opening match of the evening. Mysterio started the match in the best way possibe, using his high flying moves to gain an advantage in the match. Mysterio then managed to hit the six one nine pretty early on, but Cade ducked it and lifted Mysterio up for a massive powerbomb. This drove the wind right out of Rey Mysterio. This is when Lance Cade started to make an impact in the match. Cade started to brawl his way through, using stiff right hands, and stomps to try and hurt Mysterio rather than win. Cade then whipped him into the ropes after several minutes of punching, and lifted him up for a huge flapjack. However Mysterio countered it into a rolling DDT. Mysterio then connected with a dropkick, sending Lance Cade into the ropes. Mysterio then connected with the six one nine. He then got the cover and the referee counted to three, giving Rey Mysterio the victory here tonight on RAW.

However as the bell tolled Lance Cade got back up and attacked a celebrating Rey Mysterio. The crowd started booing. Cade however grabbed Mysterio and tried ripping off his mask. However he stopped and then just planted him with a huge DDT. Slamming Mysterio face down. Cade then got a microphone and said that he has something to say. He is asking Shawn Michaels to come to RAW next week, because he want's to go one on one with him. Cade then throws the microphone down and walks up the ramp with his music not able to drown out the boo's.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

When we return to Monday Night RAW we get a video packahe showing highlights of Kane's path of destruction over the last few months, and the whole 'is he dead or is he alive' stuff going on.

~ Then the music of Kane hits and he makes his way out to the ring

~ Then the music of Paul London hits and he runs to the ring.

So Kane was going one on one with Paul London in tonight's second match of the evening. However it was hardly a five star match. London looked up at Kane who was scowling ever since he made his way out here. Kane just continued to stare, until he snapped. he locked his hand around Paul London's throat and lifted him up, connecting with a massive Chokeslam. Kane then covered Paul London and got the three count here tonight on RAW.

Kane's music played and The Big Red machine got up. he exited the ring and went to ringside where Lillian Garcia was announcing the winner. However Kane grabbed Lillian by the hair and she started screaming. Kane rolled her into the ring and then got in himself. Kane backed a screaming Lillian into the corner and started screaming to her 'IS HE DEAD OR IS HE ALIVE' Kane then intimidated Lillian more until the new RAW general Manager Stephanie McMahon came onto the stage. She told Kane to stop it. She says no body knows what he is talking about. Stoehanie then says if Kane touches Lillian he will have to leave the WWE forever. Kane then turned his head to Stephanie and then walked up to her. However Stephanie told him not to come near her. Kane didn;t listen though and got her in the chokeslam position. He then had her looking over the edge of the stage, screaming 'IS HE ALIVE OR DEAD' however security come to Stephanie's aid and grab Kane, keeping him down while they injected some kind of drug into Kane's body. After several secinds Kane was out cold. The security chained Kane up in every spot possible and dragged him to the backstage area. Michael Cole and King just say how much Kane is getting worse and worse by the week, and that hopefuly with him chained, he won'e be able to do any more damage. Michael cole then says that Stephanie McMahon has made a massive main event for tonight. It will see John Cena teaming up with The Animal Batista, taking on John Bradshaw Layfield and Y2J Chris Jericho. But coming up next, The World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk would be in action against Chuck Palumbo.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

~ The music of Chuck Palumbo is playing

When we come back to Monday Night RAW, Chuck Palumbo is standing in the ring holding a microphone after just parking his motorcycle at the bottom of the stage. Palumbo says he has been waiting his whole life to get a match against a World Champion, but it's just a damn shame he has to face one of the worst World Heavyweight Champions in WWE history.

~ This got Punk's attention as the World Heavyweight Champion makes his way out for the match.

Match number three was World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk taking on Chuck Palumbo in a non title match. It was actually a really good match. Chuck Palumbo got in alot of offence in, making him look like a decent mid carder. However Punk stole the show as he showed why he deserves to be holding the World Heavyweight Championship. The match comes to an end when Palumbo has Punk in the corner. He then smacks him a few times, before dragging him out and whipping him into the ropes. When Punk bounced back off the ropes, he dodged a big boot attempt and turned around. he then hoisted Chuck Palumbo onto his shoulders and connected with a massive GTS. This was enogh to give CM Punk the victory here tonight on RAW.

CM Punk's music plays and he celebrates in the ring with his World Heavyweight Championship.

We then go backstage where the security guards are telling a van to pull up into the parking lot. When the van comes into view it becomes apparent that it's a police van. It pulls up and everyone is trying to get a sedated Kane into the back. Then one of the security guards notices something on the floor. He looks at it and piks it up, revealing the Burlap Sack. He asks one of the other security guards what's inside it. So they both look in. One of them laughs and pulls out Kanes old mask. He says it's just a halloween mask. After saying that he throws it in the bin along with the sack. This gets the crowd to go 'ohhhhh' They then leave Kane in the police van and say they will drive out at the end of the show.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

~ The music of WWE Intercontinental Champion hits and Kofi Kingston makes his way out along with WWE Women's Champion Mickie James.

~ Then the music of Snitsky hit and he made his way out to a chorus of boos

The fourth match of the night saw Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston take on Snitsky. Snitsky used his strength and power in this match to ground Kofi, but Kofi started to use his atletical prowess halfway through, changing the momentum completely. Snitsky took a nice stiff kick to the back of the head by Kofi, and fell through the ropes to the outside. However when he got back up he stalked Women's Champion Mickie James. He was about to grab her until Kofi launched himself over the top rope ontop of Snitsky. So the match went on and eventually both men ended up back in the ring. Kingston whipped Snitsky into the ropes and followed up with the spin kick. This got Kofi Kingston the three count and the victory here tonight on RAW.

Kofi celebrated in the ring and went to see if Mickie James was okay on the outside. SHe said she was fine. The pair of them then walked up the ramp hand in hand while Snitsky looked on in the ring clearly pissed off. However when Mickie James and Kofi Kingston get to the top of the stage, Paul Burchill and Katie Lea attack them. Burchill taking down Kofi Kingston and Katie Lea attacking Mickie James. They then stand up and celebrate amongst the boos in the arena. Michael Cole and King alk about how they outsmarted the champions tonight.

We are then backstage where the World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase are being interviewed by RAW interviewer Todd Grisham. They say that last week they told Hacksaw Jim Duggan to hang up his boots because he is outdating the roster. They then say if he can get a partner together for Summerslam then they will have a tag team match for The World Tag Team Championships. However if he and his partner lose, they will both be forced to hang up their boots, in shame. Rhodes and Dibiase then hold their tag team Championship belts in the air and walk off.

{COMMERCIAL BREAK}

When we return to RAW we are backstage again. Jamie Noble is talking to Layla. He is flirting eith her and is telling her of all the cool things he has done in the past. He then asks her if she wants to go out on a date. However Santino Marella comes over and starts flirting with her. Noble isn't happy so he slaps Marella. Marella in a rage then walks of saying 'please tell me he didn't just do that'

~ The music of Batista hit and he made his way down to the ring.

~ Then the music of John Cena hit and he came out for the match.

~ Then out came JBL in his limo

~ FInally the music of Chris Jericho hit and he came out with Lance Cade.

It was a great main event, with lots of near falls. The fans were chearing for Batista and Cena for obvious reasons. Batista almost got the three count pretty early on when he slammed JBL down with the Spine Buster. However Jericho made the save and threw Batista over the ropes to the outside. Jericho and Batista then started brawling near the announce table. Cena and JBL who were the legal men when the match ended were in the ring, punching each other in the face back and fourth. JBL then went for a clothseline from hell, but Cena dodged it, and Batista who had climbed back in the ring connected with a spear on JBL. Cena then hoisted him up and went for the F-U. he connected and went for the cover. The referee counted to three, and the team of John Cena and Batista have won tonight on RAW.

The bell tolled and Cena and Batista celebrated. However Jericho and JBL got back up and there was a big brawl between everyone. The camera then captured World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk on the entrance ramo holding his World Title belt up in the air, as Monday Night RAW went off the air.

sorry then, but it might get confusing for us and others, so maybe you should probably change your BTB name by asking a moderator or something.

Yeah, that's what I thought when I noticed we had the same name. I'll PM a mod now.

I liked this show, as it really felt like the show that needed to be done after GAB, but in real life as to the results you used in your BTB.

Great booking on the Raw Summerslam main event. All men had a great amount of momentum and some like JBL and Y2J, with their victories, had nowhere to go but to a title match. Cena needs to continue feuding JBL and Batista, since you scrapped the Kane interference, deserves a rematch. I liked how the promo centered around PUnk. Stephania back again as a GM should be interesting.

Lance Cade vs Rey was interesting. It sets a feud but all I am wondering is if it will get PPV time, which I doubt.

CM Punk continues taking big men and winning. It really helps us believe that he can beat the likes of big men like Batista in the future. Main event was a good decision as well and pitted all men in a nice competition. Fun read,

Last but not least I am curious for where you take the Kane action. You already revealed it was the mask, but considering the swerve you gave it, I will be reading to see where you take it

WWE Tuesday Night ECW
July 22nd 2008
The Preview

At The Great American Bash, ECW Champion Mark Henry was able to retain the Championship after defeating ECW original Tommy Dreamer. However tonight on ECW, Dreamer gets a rematch for the title. What will happen in this huge main event? Will Dreamer finally be able to do what he couldn't do last Sunday?

John Morrison and The Miz lost their WWE Tag Team Championships at The Bash, so tonight on ECW they will be without gold around their waste. What can we expect from these two superstars? Can we expect to see them make any rational desicions?

Chavo Guerrero who is a former ECW Champion says he will be at ECW tonight with Bam Neeley. However he kept his intentions pretty secret. What does Chavo have in store for the land of extreme tonight on ECW?

And finally, The fighting Irishman Finlay will be in action as he takes on Matt Hardy. Both of these are crowd favourites, so it will be interesting to see what happens in this match. Will Finlay be leaving victorious? Or will the former United States Champion leave with a W under his belt?

Tune into ECW tonight to find out all the answers to these questions.

--------------------

OOC: Thanks for changing the name CMS, and thanks for the comments. I have to be honest, I forgot a certain backstage segment from RAW which is a pain, so I'll be incorperating it into next weeks show. Above is the ECW preview, show will be up either tonight or tomorow.
