The Brawling Brutes vs Cesaro & Ricochet

A match that should've been a great showcase between two new tag teams turned very brutal very quickly, as a botched twirl-whirl led to Ridge breaking his nose. It was such a gruesome injury that Holland had to go backstage, leaving Sheamus on his own. Sheamus got a couple of shots in, but ultimately got pinned not long after as Ricochet got the pin over Sheamus with the Giant Swing into a Dropkick.

Winner: Cesaro & Ricochet (6:54)

"UUUSSSOOO!!!"

*Done With That*

After the intro package highlighting the build to tonight's matches, We open up with the SmackDown Tag Champs! Jey & Jimmy come out hyped up and ready to go to war yet again with their longtime rivals.

*Bow Down*

Out next comes the challengers, Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods of The New Day, and in Woods' hometown no less! The former champs enter the ring and the two teams start badmouthing each other before the match starts.

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship
The Usos (C) vs The New Day

If you've ever seen an Usos/New Day match, you know it's gonna be good, so that's what you get here. We get some good high flying action between Woods, Kofi & the brothers, with Kofi's leg that The Bloodline injured a few months ago being worked over to build to the hot tag to the hometown boy King Woods. Once Xavier gets in the pace quickens as the King hits some flying forearms and a Culture Shock for a close 2 count on Jey. After an exciting closing stretch of Superkicks, dives and a Trouble in Paradise, Jimmy & Jey pick up the win in brutal fashion, nailing Woods with a 1D on the floor! After some fighting spirit from Kingston though, Jimmy would pin Kofi with the Uso Splash to retain the gold.

Winner: The Usos (17:05)

*The Good Life*

Happy Corbin's theme plays as we have a pair of SWORD THIEVES on their way to the ring! In the weeks prior, Happy Corbin and his associate Madcap Moss stole Drew's sword from him, and after retrieving it on SmackDown, Drew is out for revenge, starting with Madcap Moss tonight (Fuck me Vince you're having a laugh mate). Cole talks on coms about how this match is a WWE Royal Rumble Qualifying Match as well, adding some more stakes to this match as Madcap Moss does some shadow boxing while Happy hypes him up. Corbin grabs a mic and starts running down Atlanta, as Moss hits him with one of his trademark "jokes" about how if you're the best they call you the GOAT, like Baron Corbin, but the only people who call Drew the GOAT is the sheep he took to prom!

*Gallantry*

Drew has heard enough of this utter shite patter from these cunts (my words, not his), and has his big sword, "Angela" with him. He goes STRAIGHT for Madcap, even swinging his sword at him! Moss and Happy get out the ring ASAP, as the ref needs to negotiate with Drew to get the sword out the ring to start the match. Happy goes over to the commentary booth and sticks a headset on for this match.

Royal Rumble Qualifier
Drew McIntyre vs Madcap Moss

BOOM!

McIntyre INSTANTLY hits the Claymore to Moss and gets the pin staring at Happy before "The happiest man alive" can even get a word in!

Winner: Drew McIntyre (0:07)

The camera pans to Corbin who's in shock. His best friend has just been Claymored into next week and now a furious Scotsman is staring directly at him. Happy takes the headset off and looks like he's about to start pleading, but the former WWE Champion is having none of it and bolts towards Corbin! Baron zips through the crowd as Drew gives chase, then notices that Madcap is still stirring. McIntyre enters the ring and grabs his sword! Moss is stirring near the ropes...

OH MY GOD!

DREW JUST TRIED TO STICK A SWORD THROUGH MADCAP MOSS ON LIVE PAY-PER-VIEW!!!

Luckily, Moss ducked under the ropes and Drew cuts the top rope! Drew is seething with rage as the two "jokers" have ran off in fear, ending the segment posing in the ring with the sword.

*We Want Smoke*

It's now time for our Raw Tag Team Title match, and out come the former champs, The Street Profits. Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford come out with their red cups, having a good time, but focused on tonight's big match against a very formidable tag team.

*Talk To Me*

And here come the champions, with a very special guest! Riddle and Randy walk out with Migos by their side! Riddle fist pumps some fans on the way to the ring while Orton slinks to the ring, the Raw Tag Title on his shoulder.

WWE Raw Tag Team Championships
RK-Bro (C) vs The Street Profits

A face vs face match on the Raw side of the tag division, Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins become the de-facto heels by beating down Riddle. Ford & Dawkins take turns beating down the former United States Champion with double team moves, showing their fluidity as a tag team. The momentum changes once The Viper gets tagged in though, nailing both men with clotheslines, the Scoop Slam and a double Hangman DDT! After some back and forth between the two teams, Ford goes for a Frog Splash, but Orton moves out of the way, leading to Montez rolling through. He runs off the ropes, but Riddle runs into the ring, throws him into the air and hits the RKO! Orton smiles at his partner and gets the pin and the champs retain!

Winners: RK-Bro (10:07)

*I Came To Play*

Quiet on set! The Miz makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos, flanked by his beautiful wife Maryse who's still pissed about Edge giving them a Brood-Bath on Raw during their wedding vows. Miz & Maryse poses in the ring, waiting for their rival to make is way out.

*Metalingus*

There he is! "The Rated-R Superstar," Edge makes his way out, ready for this personal battle with the former Intercontinental Champion. He sprints into the ring, sending Miz to the outside as he poses on the turnbuckles to a raucous ovation from Atlanta.

Edge.png
The Miz.png

Rated Awesome
Edge vs The Miz

The two veterans start things off slow, Miz refusing to lock up and doing ALL the stalling tactics. Jaw-jacking with fans, discussing "strategy" with Maryse, just trying to piss Edge off. Finally, he gets in the ring and Edge outclassing Miz in the wrestling department with chain wrestling, taking him down at will and rubbing his hair for good measure to embarrass him. the tide begins to shift as Maryse keeps getting involved on the outside, grabbing Edge's legs allowing for her husband to blindside the former 11 time World Champion and work on his leg, setting up the Figure Four Leglock. Edge would try to fight back, but with all the totally great and absolutely not boring as sin leg work from The Miz, Edge can barely stand. The Rated-R Superstar does start making a comeback, hitting some Clotheslines and an Edge-O-Matic for a close 2 count. Edge goes to the corner, setting up the Spear, but the leg gives out, and Miz capitalises by locking in the Figure Four! Edge is sooo close to tapping (don't laugh), and is forced to roll towards the ropes while in the Figure Four to break the hold. Miz signals that it's over and starts setting up for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Edge rolls out of it and hits the Edgecution! He goes to the corner, the manic look in his eyes and nails the Spear for the win!

Winner: Edge (22:00)

The former champ struggles to his feet after the match and does his classic pose to the delight of the crowd.

OH!

Maryse.png

Maryse hits a Low Blow!

The IT Couple beat down Edge, laying the boots to the victor to a chorus of boos.

*Glamazon*

Beth Phoenix.png

It's Beth Phoenix! The Glamazon is here! Miz & Maryse are shocked as the former Women's and Divas Champion rushes to the ring, chasing off the IT Couple! Edge and Beth hug in the ring to cheers from the crowd.

*Nah Nah*

It's time for our only women's match of the show, as the challenger Liv Morgan gets another shot at the WWE Raw Women's Championship! Liv is focused on tonight's big match, but selling her arm which Becky tried to break not long ago.

*Celtic Invasion*

It's time for the Big Time! Big Time Becky Lynch saunters out to a mixed reaction from the crowd, raising her Raw Women's Title above her head, 100% confident she can get the job done against Liv again. As Lynch enters the ring she doesn't even look at Morgan, posing on the ropes and the turnbuckle.

Becky LynchRWChamp.png
Liv Morgan.png

WWE Raw Women's Championship
Becky Lynch (C) vs Liv Morgan

The story of the match is a simple but effective one: Becky tried to break Liv's right arm on Raw, so she's going straight for the obvious weak point while Liv used her high-flying offence to take her down. Becky does a mocking shoulder gesture, asking her challenger how her arm is, and Liv responds with a nice flurry early on. She hits a lovely Tilt-A-Whirl Headscissors and a Missile Dropkick to knock Becky out of the ring into a seamless Plancha! Becky tries to get the advantage by throwing Morgan into the barricade, but Liv jumps up! A Back Crossbody off the barricade! Liv throws the champion back into the ring and gets a 2 count, then goes for another Tilt-A-Whirl. Becky catches her however and drives her down with a BRUTAL Shoulderbreaker!

Lynch systematically works over the shoulder and doesn't let up. throwing Morgan into the post, into the turnbuckles, into the steps, there's nowhere Becky won't assert her dominance. Liv ties fighting back with some punches, but all it does is cause her more pain, leading to Becky to capitalise and lay the hurt on more. The champ locks in a London Dungeon that honestly looks like that could've been the end of it, if Morgan didn't manage to crawl over to the ropes. Liv finally starts making a comeback by shifting to her left hand with her strikes and hits a running Hurricanrana! Becky goes for the Manhandle Slam, but Liv twists on out and hits a brutal Enziguri! Only a 2 count for the challenger doesn't dissuade her, she attempts a Poisonrana...But Becky's hangs on! Liv goes up in a Electric Chair position, and drops down to a Roll-Up!

1!

2!

Becky rolls back...And grabs the ropes! Just like on Raw!

1!

2!

The ref notices!

Lynch is furious as she yells at the ref for noticing her blatant cheating, leading to Liv going a Roll-Up! Big Time Becks kicks out and Liv goes for the Oblivion! But Becky slams her down, floats over while grabbing the arm and locks in the Dis-Arm-Her! Liv can't handle the pain anymore and taps out instantly as Becky wrenches back!

Winner: Becky Lynch (12:43)

Lynch hangs on for a few seconds before letting go, a big smile across her face. Morgan rolls away and the ref checks on her as "Big Time Becks" raises her championship in the air, her reign of dominance of Monday Night Raw continues.

*All Mighty*

It's time for our Raw Main Event and you have to say, this man is absolutely one of the favourites! "The All Mighty" Bobby Lashley comes out, flanked by his right hand man MVP, his Hurt Business associates Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin give him a fist bump of encouragement and "Walking Armageddon makes his way to the ring, locked in. The big man enters the ring and poses on the turnbuckle, pyro going off, and stands in the corner glaring up the ramp awaiting his prey.

*Fight*

The second challenger makes his way out, former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens! KO comes out, cranking his neck, ready to take on one of the biggest challenges of his career after worming his way into this match through pissing off Seth to the point of attacking him during his match with Big E. Owens is hesitant at first to get in the ring, but eventually does, Bobby not taking his eyes off him.

*Visionary*

Here comes the man who was the initial challenger for the WWE Championship to begin with! Seth comes out, cackling and dancing around as the fans sing his theme. Rollins saunters to the ring, trying to keep a happy disposition going in, but it must be getting to him how this was supposed to be a singles match, and now has to deal with two very dangerous men as well as Big E. Seth does his pose in the ring, Kevin giving a over-exaggerated applause while Lashley glares at him.

*Feel The Power*

Finally, out comes the WWE Champion to a huge reaction from Atlanta! Big E is hyped up, beating his chest and raising his title above his head. Big E eyes up the three men in the ring. Three former world champions all with their own different styles and threats to take him down, but Big E looks focused and ready to go. E raises his title in KO, Seth and Bobby's faces, yelling if they want to take the title then they better bring it!

Big E (C) vs Bobby Lashley vs Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins

OH!

A HUGE SPEAR TO BIG E RIGHT FROM THE GET GO!

Bobby Lashley isn't wasting anytime, he takes out E right away and forearms Owens to the ground! Seth goes for a Flying Knee, but Bobby catches him and hits a huge Overhead Belly-To-Belly! Owens gets hit with one was well, Lashley then rolls outside and picks up Seth...

A ONE HANDED SPINEBUSTER ONTO THE FLOOR!

Seth is glazed over, Lashley is absolutely dominating!

BUT DOESN'T SEE BIG E FLYING TOWARDS HIM!

E lands awkwardly, but gets the job done taking out Bobby and rams "The Almighty's" head into the ring steps.

KEVIN OWENS COMES FLYING WITH A CANNONBALL!

Owens takes out the man who judged him and never believed in his change in attitude when he returned to Raw, and straight away goes for the announcer's table. KO drags Rollins to his feet, and looks at the table...

He slaps Seth awake, telling him to help him grab Bobby. Seth and Kevin drag Lashley over and hit a big Double slam onto the desk! Rollins and Owens look at the turnbuckles and both rush for them.

Rollins: "Okay, you jump, then me!"

Owens: "What? No, YOU jump, then I go!"

Rollins: "He's gonna get up! Just do it!"

Owens: "NO! YOU do it!"

Rollins yells in frustration, but stands up...

OH! A FROG SPLASH ONTO LASHLEY!

BUT THE TABLE DIDN'T BREAK!

Kevin initially smiles, but after seeing the table remain intact he shakes his head. Owens climbs down, flings Seth away from the wreckage and picks up Lashley...

But Lashley reverses!

OH MY GOD!

A DOMINATOR THROUGH THE TABLE!

Lashley is in a LOT of pain after Seth's Frog Splash, clutching his ribs as he drags Big E into the ring. Bobby signals that he's going to end it right now with the Hurt Lock, but Big E counters with a Michinoku Driver! We've never seen that from E! It only get's a 2 count, and E beats his chest, the fans are on their feet for the champ!

Big Ending!

No, Lashley slips out and hits a huge elbow to the face!

E is staggered, bleeding from the mouth after that shot. Bobby beckons for Big E to come forward and hit him with a shot of his own! A BIG right hand staggers Bobby, more than he expected most likely and the two start whaling! It's big meaty men slapping meat baby! Lashley is getting the upper-hand and bounces off the ropes...

SPEAR!

NO!

Lashley goes flying to the outside! Big looks like he's gonna do a dive to the outside...

MVP runs in and nails E in the back of the leg with his cane! Just like a few weeks ago! MVP digs at E, and goes to hit him in the head.

But E grabs the cane!

He breaks it over his knee!

MVP begs off, Big E is NOT happy at him trying to interfere again! He drags MVP to his feet and lifts him up!

Big Ending!

Big E sees Lashley getting up, and runs the ropes! A big Tope over the top lands on the former champion! Big E rolls him into the ring and goes for the pin!

Seth Rollins breaks it up. Seth punches E in the head, realising he's on his own since Owens is out. Rollins picks up E and hits a Falcon Arrow and climbs up top. Frog Splash connects! Only a 2 again though. Seth waits for E to get up, nailing two Rolling Elbows, staggering the champ!

CURB STOMP!

LASHLEY SPEARS HIM IN MID-AIR!

The Almighty recovered on the outside and takes out Seth!

Lashley is beside himself, he thought he had the match won! He goes to the corner and sets up, waiting for someone to get up...

Bobby charges at E! But The champ catches him!

THE BIG ENDING TO LASHLEY!

But Seth runs in with a chair!

OH!

CURB STOMP!

Lashley is starting to get up...

CURP STOMP TO THE ALMIGHTY!

COVER!

Winner: Seth Rollins (10:32)

Seth Rollins has done it! Rollins is the new WWE Champion and he did so by picking up the scraps! Seth is overjoyed, he screams has he's given his newly won title and raises it above his head. Owens is a wreck by the announcer's table, Big E is still out of it from the Spear and Bobby is starting to come to. Seth notices and leaves the ring, celebrating up the ramp with his newly won championship as Lashley is furious in the ring, MVP scowling at the new champ.

*Next Big Thing*

Out comes the challenger for the WWE Universal Champion, alongside his advocate Paul Heyman, "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar. Brock comes out smiling and giddy for this opportunity to get his hands on the man who needed to hit him in the head with the Universal Title in their previous match. Heyman's filled with piss and vinegar tonight, after Roman & The Usos beat the hell out of him on SmackDown. Lesnar's jumping in the middle of the ring, waiting for the champ.

*Head of the Table*

The vibe has just shifted! "The Head of the Table," Roman Reigns saunters out with the Universal Championship in his hand. With The Usos alongside him, Roman doesn't take his eyes off Brock and Paul. He enters the ring and poses with the Universal Title, and all the pyro goes off behind him. Jey & Jimmy laugh at Paul, who hides behind Brock while Lesnar and Reigns go nose to nose. The music dies down and Mike Rome is about to introduce the competitors...Until Paul Heyman grabs the mic!

Paul Heyman.png
Heyman: "Ladies & Gentlemen. My name, is Paul Heyman. Introducing, the Night Mayor, of Suplex City, the Bane of the Bloodline, the Ruler of the Roman Empire, and the SOON TO BE, reigning! Defending! Undisputed! WWE Universal Champion...BROCK! LESNAAAAAR!!!"

Heyman locks eyes with Roman as he screams his praises for Brock, who scowls at his former wiseman while Brock just laughs.

Roman Reigns (C) vs Brock Lesnar

The bell rings and the two stare at each other across the ring and circle around the ring. Lesnar drives Roman into the corner and gets some shoulderthrusts in the corner. Roman tries to fight back with the punches but Lesnar drives him back into the corner and hits a Overhead Belly-To-Belly! Brock drives Roman down with more Suplexes as Paul smiles at his charge.

Brock roars to a huge pop from the crowd after knocking Roman to the outside. Jimmy & Jey go to check on Roman, but Brock Suplexes them on the outside too! As Lesnar soaks in the cheers though, Roman hits a Spear through the barricade to the Beast Incarnate, laying him out! Roman gets back into the ring to catch his breath, while Brock crawls out the rubble and enters the ring.

SPEAR!

SPEAR BY THE TRIBAL CHIEF!

1!

2!

NO!

It was almost over just like that! Roman cocks his fist and hits the Superman Punch and starts mouthing off to the crowd. Heyman looks worried as Reigns hits ANOTHER Superman Punch. Brock starts getting up and he's...laughing? Roman looks perplexed as he goes for another Punch, but Brock catches him and hits the German Suplex! And another! And ANOTHER! Brock is feeling it now, the crowd counting to 4, then 5, then 6. The former champ hovers over Roman, the picks him up!

F5!

NO!

Roman claws the eyes, rams him into the turnbuckle and hits another Superman Punch. Roman walks around the ring, taunting the crowd, yelling about how he's the champ, and starts setting up for the Spear...

NO! BROCK CATCHES HIM!

F5!

2!

NO!!!

ROMAN KICKS OUT!!!

Brock doesn't waste anytime, he picks up Roman again!

F5!

NO!!!

AGAIN!!!

Brock scowls at Roman and picks him up AGAIN for a third F5...

Roman claws the eyes again and pushes Brock into the referee!

Brock stops himself before actually making contact...

SPEAR BY ROMAN TO BROCK INTO THE REF!

Roman backs away as Brock is winded on the floor, and Paul is staring at him, terrified. Jey & Jimmy are on either side of Paul now. Roman goes outside and starts taking apart the steel steps, launching them into the ring. He grabs his Universal Title as well, waiting for Brock to get up...

Brock is woozy, he turns around, ducks the Title shot and nails a big Clothesline, stunning the Tribal Chief. He notices the steel steps in the ring, looks at Roman, and a evil grin appears in his face.

Jey & Jimmy rush into the ring and nail a Double Superkick to Brock, who bounces off the ropes and hits a Double Clothesline! He hoists Jimmy up onto his shoulders like a child!

OH MY GOD!!!

AN F5 ONTO THE STAIRS!!!

He's not done! Jey gets thrown up too!

F5 ONTO THE STAIRS AGAIN!!!

The crowd are fully behind Brock mid-rampage as he picks up Roman...

F5 ONTO THE STAIRS TO THE HEAD OF THE TABLE!!!

Brock looks like he's about to wake the ref up, but changes his mind as a sick thought goes through his head. Roman rolls to the corner to grab his breath...

BROCK HAS PICKED UP THE STAIRS!

HE'S GOING TO DRIVE THEM INTO ROMAN!!!

Brock makes a big show of it, the fans wanting to see the Tribal Chief get splatted!

He charges!

But he's stopped...

By Paul Heyman?!

Paul rushed into the ring and is begging Brock to reconsider. He has the match won, there's absolutely no need to do this!

Heyman: "Brock, please, listen to me, you have him beat! You don't need to do this!"

Lesnar dumps the stairs to the outside of the ring and is FURIOUS at Paul.

Lesnar: "The fuck are you doin?! I'm about to win!!!"

Heyman: "I know but this is too much!"

Lesnar: "Get the FUCK OUT MY WAY PAUL!!!"

Paul swallows and moves behind Brock as he grabs Roman, who hits Lesnar with the Low Blow! Reigns goes to the other corner, where he sees Paul holding his championship. The two lock eyes, Paul filled with fear as his former Tribal Chief stares at him...

And offers out his hand?! Roman wants the title!

Paul is gobsmacked at this, and looks flustered. Roman doesn't say a word. Just looking at Heyman on the outside...

HE DOES IT!!!

HEYMAN HANDS REIGNS THE TITLE!!!

Roman waits for Brock to get up and CRACKS him with the Universal Title! He then grabs Lesnar by the neck and locks in a Guillotine to an already unconscious Brock! The referee starts getting up and sees Brock is out of it.

He raises his arm...

It's limp!

It's over!

Roman Reigns is STILL Universal Champion!

Winner: Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar (13:00)

Roman Reigns is still the Universal Champion after a shocking betrayal by Paul Heyman! The Tribal Chief raises his title above his head, over the limp body of Brock. He isn't done though, as Roman starts laying in some punches for good measure! Jey & Jimmy, selling their ribs, enter the ring and join in on the beatdown while Paul stares, laughing at his best friend getting beaten!

Jey hands Roman a chair and immediately he starts WHALING on Brock! Over and over to the back of the Beast, before sizing him up...

OH! A BRUTAL CHAIRSHOT TO THE FORMER CHAMP!

Brock is busted open and this gang mauling just wont stop. Referees and security try to stop this but The Usos start Superkicking them all, keeping them at bay as Reigns does his thing.

Roman gives Jimmy a look and glances at the announce table. Jimmy smiles and starts taking apart the table while Roman hits Brock with another Spear!

Lesnar rolls to the outside, where Jimmy & Jey beat him down some more, nailing a 1D on the outside! Roman flicks his hair back and puts Brock in the Powerbomb position...

OH MY GOD!!!

A TRIPLE POWERBOMB THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!!!

The show goes off the air with Roman Reigns standing tall, The Bloodline victorious, and Paul Heyman by Roman's side again.

Day One results remaining the same for the most part is fine. Obviously the change up with Roman/Brock not getting cancelled works here quite well, and taking out the most dominant man in the industry for the last ten years is some awesome business for The Bloodline.

I do wonder how you'll look at making The Bloodline different and potentially improved to in real life.

Wishing you best of luck with this, Chaddes.
