SmackDown Live starts with the traditional cold open showing SHAWN MICHAELS standing backstage in his office in a suit and cowboy mix. He tells us he wants to tone down on some of the chaos we have seen these last few weeks and that’s why he is declaring that there will be no interference in any of the matches that take place tonight, banning everyone from ringside! He then confirmed the show would start with Jacob Fatu taking on Matt Riddle as we cut to the opening video for the show!

---------------------------------------------------------------------
MAYHEM – HALESTORM
---------------------------------------------------------------------

*HEY BRO*

MATT RIDDLE
makes his way out, getting cheers from the live crowd. He poses for the fans and even gives the crowd a treat, kicking off his flip-flops, giving someone a souvenir. Corey Graves welcomes us to the show before asking if it was a good idea for Riddle to challenge Fatu two nights before he enters the Money in the Bank ladder match. Byron Saxton says Riddle is not someone to back down from a fight, but Jacob Fatu is no ordinary man!

*ENEMY*

JACOB FATU
marches out getting loud boos from the live crowd, cutting every bit the imposing presence he normally does. Corey Graves says Jacob Fatu is two nights away from the biggest match of his career as he fights Chad Gable for the United States title. Byron Saxton wonders if he will use Matt Riddle to send a message to Chad tonight. Jacob steps into the ring across from Riddle as the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway!

Match 1: Jacob Fatu vs Matt Riddle

Match summary:
Both men come at each other early on and collide with hard strikes, with neither man giving an inch to the other in this match! Jacob Fatu’s more wild offensive style catches Riddle off-guard and he resorts to trying to grind Fatu down on the mat with a series of submissions instead. He tries to wear down and break the Samoan Werewolf, but Fatu easily overpowers him and starts to dominate the match, aggressively battering Riddle!

Jacob Fatu has Riddle grounded and starts to toss him around the mat with Riddle unable to do much to fight back! Jacob gets Riddle into the corner of the ring, who tries to punch and knee his way out of the corner… BUT FATU KNOCKS HIM BACK DOWN WITH A WICKED HEADBUTT! Fatu then heads to the other corner of the ring before charging back in and CRUSHING HIM WITH A HIP ATTACK… BUT HE DOESN’T STOP THERE HITTING 5 MORE! Fatu is utterly annihilating Matt Riddle, who has stopped moving in the corner.

The referee tells Fatu to stop and just end this… BUT FATU TELLS THE REFEREE TO GET LOST! Fatu then heads to the corner of the ring and springboards up the ropes, HITTING THE MIGHTY MOONSAULT! Fatu makes the cover 1 2 FATU BREAKS THE COVER SHAKING HIS HEAD! He grabs hold of Riddle and lifts him up, hitting a SAMOAN DROP BEFORE HITTING ANOTHER MIGHTY MOONSAULT… BUT FATU DOESN’T STOP THERE! He leaps up to the top rope and hits a THIRD MOONSAULT AS THE REFEREE THROWS THE MATCH OUT!

Winner via stoppage: Jacob Fatu (9:11)

The crowd loudly boos as Jacob Fatu stands over Matt Riddle who is out for the count here. Fatu roars to the crowd as the medical team tries to check on him. Corey Graves says we have seen yet another utterly brutal beating from Jacob Fatu tonight. Byron Saxton says Chad Gable has to be watching backstage and has to have some concern because this is what could happen to him this Sunday. The medics help load Riddle onto a stretcher as we can see BLOOD coming from his mouth as SmackDown goes to a commercial break.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

When we return from the commercial break, the medical team is taking MATT RIDDLE through the back towards an ambulance as ALPHA ACADEMY RUNS OVER TO CHECK ON HIM! United States Champion CHAD GABLE asks the referee for his condition and they say it is not good. KURT ANGLE asks if he will be good to go for WrestleMania, but the medic says they have concerns about when he will be good to go, let alone if it will be this weekend!

Kurt tells the others he is heading with Matt to the hospital and climbs into the ambulance as it heads off into the distance. DANIEL BRYAN says this is what The Bloodline is about and they need to remain calm… as DANIEL GARCIA loses his temper, asking Bryan how they can stay calm right now? Garcia tells Daniel he is going to make Roman pay for what they have done to Riddle and storms off. Gable tells Bryan he will speak to him and the Royal Rumble nods ending the segment.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

We then cut to the inside of a fancy-looking gym as we can see BIANCA BELAIR standing inside the gym ready to do a workout. She is soon joined by VANESSA HUDGENS who has a smile on her face. The two women exchange a bit of banter with each other as Vanessa puts over how much she is a fan of Belair. We can get a fun montage of Belair teaching Vanessa different strikes and counters before a fun moment where Belair lifts Vanessa into the air and walks her around the gym, putting her down. Both women share a hug, bringing the segment to an end.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

*METALINGUS*

EDGE
makes his way out, getting a huge pop from the live crowd as he poses at the top of the entrance ramp and waits for his pyro to go off. Edge stays standing there waiting for his tag team partner…

*BOOYAKA 619*

REY MYSTERIO!
The crowd loudly cheers as Rey makes his usual entrance before sharing a hug with Edge. The veteran tag team then heads down the entrance ramp and towards the ring. Byron Saxton gives the fans at home a recap on how these men came together as a team, with The Usos costing Edge matches against Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu, whilst taking out Dominik Mysterio. Corey Graves warns that these two should be careful messing with The Bloodline, especially after what Fatu did to Riddle earlier tonight.

Edge and Rey Mysterio make their way into the ring with microphones in hand, looking at the cheering crowd before speaking. Edge tells the fans it is always good to hear their cheers and it keeps him coming back to the ring. Rey nods saying they both know they are not getting any younger so everything they do; it could be the last time they step into the ring. Edge says he has retired once already so every chance he gets to try to win a title could be his last!

Edge says he has held tag team gold so many times in his career, but as these fans know, once is never enough for him when it comes to holding gold. Rey says his motives have always been different from Edge's; it’s always been about his family and his children. Rey says he has been by Dominik’s side to prepare him for the future of this business and the horrors you can face. Rey says he wants revenge for his son and he doesn’t want to wait till tomorrow night, calling out The Usos right now!

*DONE WITH THAT (DAY ONE REMIX)*

THE USOS MAKE THEIR WAY OUT!
The crowd loudly boo the 8-time tag team champions as they stand at the top of the entrance ramp posing with their tag team titles. Rey Mysterio dares them to come to the ring right now but JIMMY USO says they are good where they are. JEY USO says they want to make sure they get their WrestleMania payday so they will save putting them on the shelf for tomorrow. The crowd boos the cocky statement but the tag team champions are not done.

Jey makes it clear that what they did to Rey’s son Dominik wasn’t anything personal; they just needed to send a statement. Edge steps forward and asks what that was. Jimmy smirks, saying they are the greatest tag team of all time. Edge laughs at that statement, prompting Jey to get a bit heated and ask what he is laughing at. Edge says he has faced some of the greatest tag teams of all time, and hell, he has been part of some of them, reminding everyone he is a 14-time tag team champion!

Rey adds that he, in his own right, has held tag team gold in WWE 4 times and in WCW 3 times, saying he is an expert like Edge when it comes to tag team wrestling. Edge says they know how to work with different partners, whilst The Usos only have experience with each other! Rey says The Usos will learn what happens when you mess with someone’s son and they will kick their asses. The Usos finish off the promo saying they are the ones who run this division and they will stay on top!

When we return from the commercial break, we can see FIRE AND DESIRE chatting to each other backstage. SONYA DEVILLE jokes that it is every woman for themselves, so Mandy better watch out and be careful. MANDY ROSE jokes she is going to win the battle royal and celebrate with Otis after. Sonya chuckles and smiles before saying Mandy really likes him then. Mandy chuckles a bit nervously before telling Sonya that he is so sweet and kind and… she stops, realizing OTIS DOZOVIC is right behind him!

Otis smiles and asks Mandy nervously if she thinks he is sweet. Mandy blushes slightly and says of course she does. Sonya, in the background, watches and rolls her eyes before telling them to ask each other out already. Otis goes silent and looks nervous as Sonya says she will leave them alone. Mandy chuckles before turning to the silent Otis and asking if he wants to go out. Otis stutters a bit before saying of course. Mandy gives him a kiss and says it is a date, saying they will celebrate winning their matches at WrestleMania and walks off, leaving Otis there with a huge smile on his face.

*SEDUCTION*

BILLIE KAY
makes her way out getting boos from the live crowd with another sign, this time saying “Peyton is the B.E.S.T” and showing it off to the live crowd. Byron Saxton says Billie was offering her services to help Belair at WrestleMania, but Belair turned her down for the help of Vanessa Hudgens. Corey Graves says that might be a huge mistake, pointing out that Vanessa has never stepped into a ring with Billie is iconic.

*WATCH ME SHINE*

BIANCA BELAIR
makes her way out, getting huge cheers from the live crowd with a bit of a smile on her face. She whips her hair before walking to the ring, ready for action tonight. Byron Saxton says maybe Belair feels confident enough to beat the House alone and only asked Vanessa because Shawn told her to get a tag team partner. Corey gives her praise and says she is the E.S.T. for a reason, but she might be too confident, wanting to fight the House effectively alone. Billie talks trash to Bianca, who rolls her eyes before the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway!

Match 2: Billie Kay vs Bianca Belair

Match summary:
Billie talks a whole lot of trash and is very cocky early on in this match, which backfires on her as Belair dominates and easily overpowers Billie. She tries every trick she can think of to try to get back into the match but in the end, Belair puts her away with the K.O.D!

Winner via pinfall: Bianca Belair (3:13)

Bianca Belair gets to her feet, getting loud cheers from the crowd as she celebrates the relatively easy victory over Billie Kay tonight. Corey Graves says Belair showed her strength tonight, but she is going to need help if she is going to overcome the House of Couture. Byron Saxton says you never know what Vanessa can do… AS THE HOUSE OF COUTURE RUNS OUT AND ATTACKS BELAIR FROM BEHIND! The crowd loudly boos as Belair is overwhelmed by the two on one sneak attack!

JINNY and AMALE lay into them with a bunch of hard strikes, looking to keep the E.S.T. down on the mat. Belair starts to fight back and looks like she is about to overpower the two of them… JINNY A LEAD PIPE TO SMASH THE MID-SECTION OF BELAIR! She falls to her knees as Belair clocks her in the skull with the lead pipe. Jinny looks to carry on the attack and lays a bunch of shots until security comes out, stopping the house. The House smirks in cocky fashion as Belair lies on the floor before Smackdown goes on a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, we cut to the commentary team at ringside who say they have been sent some footage of an incident that took place at a LA bar last night!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

We can see DAMIAN PRIEST and BAD BUNNY hanging out at an after-party, having a few drinks with some girls and clearly having a fun time. We then see JAKE PAUL appear, prompting Damian Priest to ask why he is here… NOAM DAR SNEAKS UP BEHIND BAD BUNNY AND CLOCKS HIM WITH A CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE! Bunny falls down as LOGAN PAUL APPEARS AND SNEAK ATTACKS DAMIAN PRIEST, LAYING IN SEVERAL PUNCHES BEFORE THE BOUNCES APPEAR TO BREAK IT UP!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

We cut back to the commentary team who talks about what we have just seen and says Logan Paul plus Noam Dar had to spend a night in a cell after that stunt they pulled. Damian Priest was also given the night off ahead of tomorrow's tag team match.

*BEL CANTO*

AIDEN ENGLISH
makes his way out getting boos from the live crowd. Byron Saxton says Aiden English might be a lamb to the slaughter tonight on behalf of the rest of the Church of Seth Rollins. Corey Graves says Seth will have prepared Aiden English for this match, and he will be able to hold his own!

*ROOT OF ALL EVIL*

ALEISTER BLACK
slowly rises from the depths of the arena but as soon as he reaches the top of the entrance ramp, he powers walks to the ring heading straight for Aiden. Byron Saxton says Aiden shows have said his final prayers whilst Corey says he will have to his god Seth Rollins as the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway!

Match 3: Aleister Black vs Aiden English

Match summary:
Aiden English runs at Black… BLACK MASS! English drops to the mat as Aleister grabs hold of him and locks in the DRAGON SLAYER… INSTANT TAP OUT FROM AIDEN ENGLISH!

Winner via submission: Aleister Black (0:27)

Aleister Black doesn’t even let go of the hold right away, wrenching back and doing as much damage as he can to Aiden English here! The crowd loudly cheers as the referee tells him to stop, but Black instead drags Aiden up and HITS HIM WITH A WICKED BLACK MASS! English falls to the mat, not moving before Aleister Black demands a microphone. He returns to the middle of the ring and sits cross-legged in the middle of the ring looking at the crowd whilst Aiden is laid out cold next to him.

Black says the man next to him was sent as a sacrifice, but it won’t stop him. Aleister wants the head of the snake and he will destroy Seth Rollins, burning his Church to the ground, leaving the ashes to scatter in the wind. Black says Rollins wants to invoke God’s name? Well, now he has invoked Hell’s wrath and he will fade… fade to black. He tosses the microphone down as Aiden is struggling on the mat… BLACK LIFTS HIM UP WITH HIS BOOT AND HITS ANOTHER BLACK MASS! Black stands over the out-cold Aiden English as we cut backstage to see…

---------------------------------------------------------------------

SETH ROLLINS LOOKING AT THE TV WITH AN EVIL SMIRK! He chuckles to himself as he is soon joined by a confused KAYLA BRAXTON! She asks the leader of the Church of Seth Rollins if he is at all concerned about what Black will do to him tonight. Seth shakes his head in response, saying he will show Black the light and show what happens when you mess with God. Kayla asks if he is concerned about Aiden English after what happened, but Rollins says it is all part of the plan, ending the promo as SmackDown goes on a commercial break.

TAYNARA CONTI
makes her way out, getting loud cheers from the crowd as SmackDown enters its 2nd hour. She looks fired up and slaps hands with some of the live crowd with a smile on her face. Byron Saxton says Conti is 1 night away from the biggest match of her career and the chance to become WWE Women’s Champion for the first time ever. Corey Graves says she faces not only a tough challenge tomorrow night, but right now she is facing an opponent of Asuka’s choice to prove herself. Conti waits in the ring until…

*TOKYO SHOCK*

IO SHIRAI
walks out, getting a huge pop from the live crowd! She walks to the ring as Conti nods, knowing she has a tough challenge ahead as she takes on a former NXT Women’s Champion. Byron Saxton says Asuka and Io have never been friends from their time in Japan, but she knows how good Io Shirai is. Corey Graves says a win tonight for Io could easily give her a claim to WWE Women’s title shot post-WrestleMania, whether she wins the Sensational Sherri Battle Royal on Sunday or not! Io stands in the ring across from Conti as the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway!

Match 4: Taynara Conti vs Io Shirai

Match summary:
Conti tries to show up Io with a bunch of strikes, but Io is too quick for her and controls the match, showing up the Brazilian Badass early. Io even mocks Conti in the ring, further angering her, which leads to mistakes from Taynara. The commentary team mentions Io is also one night removed from taking part in a ladder match at NXT Takeover: Stand and Deliver, wondering if the damage from the match could affect her performance against Conti tonight.

Io shows no sign of it affecting her early on though, as her speed and agility are making it nearly impossible for Conti to keep up. Conti has to resort to using her judo skills and ground Io, working over her on the mat to turn the tide of the match. We cut backstage to see ASUKA is watching the match closely on a monitor with a serious look on her face and the WWE Women’s title on her shoulder. The submissions do damage, but Io fights through it, taking back control as the match goes towards the closing stages.

Io Shirai carries on her offense as Conti is on the backfoot and in danger of losing tonight, but she manages to catch Io out, locking her in the TAY-LOCK! Conti wrenches back on the hold as she tries to force Io to tap out… BUT SHE COUNTERS AND BREAKS OUT OF THE HOLD! Io takes a moment and knows she can’t waste any time heading to the top rope as she goes for OVER THE MOONSAULT… CONTI GETS HER KNEES UP AND ROLLS UP IO SHIRAI TO GET THE WIN!

Winner via pinfall: Taynara Conti (11:53)

Io kicks out at 3.1, but the smart counter from Conti gives her a victory over a former NXT Women’s Champion! The crowd cheers for Conti picking up a huge win ahead of WrestleMania 37, whilst Io Shirai looks annoyed having been caught out tonight. Byron Saxton says Taynara Conti fought through everything Io had and overcame to get the victory. Corey does argue she had to survive Io to win, but Byron says all Conti needs to do to become WWE Women’s Champion is get a 3 count on Asuka.

Taynara Conti gets up and walks towards the middle of the ring as Io Shirai looks at the mat, still angry with her loss tonight. Taynara sticks her hand out for Io, who takes a few seconds to look at it and SHAKES HANDS WITH HER! Io holds Conti’s hand in the air, getting cheers from the live crowd, but you can see how much it stings to have lost the match tonight. Io leaves the ring as Conti carries on celebrating the victory, but she is soon interrupted by…

*THE FUTURE (V2)*

he crowd loudly cheers for the WWE Women’s Champion as she has the title around her waist. When we return from the commercial break, we see CARMELLA sitting backstage in a hallway looking at a picture of her winning Money in the Bank a few years ago. She sighs and says she wants to take a few moments to wish Dana Brooke the best after her injury last week. Carmella says it is a dangerous business, and whilst it was not her intention, it can happen stepping in the ring. Carmella says she knows that more women could get hurt, but she plans on walking out of WrestleMania with the Money in the Bank for a 3rd time because Mella is Money.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

*FIGHT*

We cut back to the ring with The KO Show set in the ring and KEVIN OWENS makes his way out, getting loud cheers from the crowd. He has his traditional WrestleMania merch and walks to the ring with a slight smile. Byron Saxton says that in two nights we will see Kevin Owens, Buddy Murphy, Dominik Dijakovic and Matt Riddle enter the Money in the Bank ladder match. Corey says we were going to hear from all 4 men tonight but Riddle is partway to the hospital as we speak and wonders if he will even make it to WrestleMania.

Kevin Owens steps through the ropes and sits on his chair in the middle of the set. He welcomes the crowd to the KO show, saying it felt right to bring this back for the final SmackDown before WrestleMania! The crowd cheers, wanting to see the show as Kevin says he got 3 chairs for his guests tonight, but watching the rest of the show, he doesn’t think Matt will be coming out here tonight. He says the show carries on, however and he wants to introduce his first guest…

*SHADOW OF DOUBT*

BUDDY MURPHY!
Buddy gets a mixed reaction from the live crowd but doesn’t do much to acknowledge it as he climbs into the ring and grabs a microphone from one of the chairs, sitting down on it. Kevin welcomes him to the show, and Buddy thanks him for inviting him. Kevin starts by asking Buddy about the recent issues within The O.C. and how he feels about being a part of the group. Buddy takes a moment to pause before saying as things stand, he doesn’t know what group he is a part of. Kevin asks him to elaborate when…

*DRIVER*

DOMINIK DIJAKOVIC MARCHES OUT!
The crowd boos as the big man walks out in a leather jacket and sunglasses getting boos from the live crowd. Neither Kevin Owens nor Buddy Murphy looks happy at this interruption, as Kevin asks Dijakovic if he knows the rules. Dijakovic grabs a microphone and takes a seat with a look of confusion, asking what rules? Kevin looks shocked that Dijakovic is even asking before shouting the rules! You are supposed to wait for your name to be called; no one said your name!

The crowd loudly cheers as Dijakovic has a look of pure confusion and disgust before shaking his head, saying he is Ungovernable; he has no intention of following these rules. The crowd boos as Kevin shakes his head before saying well you can stay here but I will carry on with my question for Buddy. Murphy nods as Kevin asks about Daniel Bryan’s recent kind words about him. Murphy takes a moment to pause and says he has a lot of respect for Bryan, so he is unsure whether to accept his offer, as he is looking for the next step to make it to the top.

We hear a scoff from Dijakovic, which prompts a look from Murphy, asking what he has to say. Dijakovic says relying on help from other people is a mistake, one he has been learning slowly over the last year. Owens, Buddy and the crowd are all shocked by this answer, with Owens pointing out that he is part of the Ungovernables. Dijakovic shakes his head, saying he might be part of the group but nowadays he is handling his business alone. He tells them he doesn’t need help from Shinsuke and Zelina, he knows he is worthy of grabbing that briefcase, pointing at the briefcase hanging above them in the rafters.

Buddy shakes his head, making it clear he has seen how close he has come to beating the best, how close he has come to becoming a World Champion and he has no intention of letting the chance slip. Buddy and Dijakovic come face to face with one another, but Kevin says neither of them will be walking out of this Sunday with that briefcase. Owens says they can talk about wanting to be a World Champion for the first time, but he has held the gold and never held it since. He needs it back for his family more than… SHINSUKE NAKAMURA ATTACKS OWENS FROM BEHIND!

The crowd loudly boos as Shinsuke lays into Owens with a series of kicks as Dijakovic steps forward… AND PUSHES NAKAMURA AWAY, ASKING WHAT HE IS DOING! Shinsuke shouts something Japanese, but before Djiakovic can respond, BUDDY MURPHY HITS A HIGH KNEE TO SHINSUKE! He lays into him, getting cheers from the live crowd. Dijakovic is conflicted but grabs Buddy and is ready to toss him… BUDDY PUSHES DIAJKOVIC INTO OWENS WHO HITS A STUNNER! Djiakovic and Shinsuke are down in the ring as Owens and Murphy look at each other staring each other down as SmackDown goes to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, NAOMI is sitting down backstage at the Bloodline table with the rest of the family gone. She says she married into this family through Jimmy, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have the same goals and ruthless edge they do. She says she failed to show it when she fought Asuka at the Royal Rumble, but tomorrow night, she can redeem herself, promising she will be walking out of WrestleMania with the briefcase. Naomi finishes off the promo, hinting she might not even wait too long to cash it in either.

*I DISAGREE*

MILLIE MCKENZIE
makes her way out, getting a decent pop from the live crowd. The young British superstar runs to the ring and slaps hands with some of the fans at ringside before stepping into the ring. Byron Saxton says Millie is very young, but she has the chance at an early age to make history as the youngest Money in the Bank winner ever. Corey Graves says her lack of experience may cost her tomorrow, especially stepping into the ring with…

*ATHENA*

EMBER MOON!
The crowd loudly boos for the former Women’s Champion as she walks to the ring ready for this match. Byron Saxton says momentum is important going into tomorrow’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Corey Graves says Ember Moon walked out of WrestleMania 36 as WWE Women’s Champion, beating Asuka and maybe she might do it again tomorrow night after winning the briefcase! Ember steps into the ring across from Millie as the referee calls for the bell to get the match underway!

Match 5: Ember Moon vs Millie McKenzie

Match summary:
Both women start the match by firing off on each other with a series of strikes. Not many women can hit as hard as Ember Moon, but Millie certainly gives it a go, happy to fire back with a bunch of strikes of her own. Millie also starts to go for a series of suplexes, tossing Ember Moon around, but the Fallen Goddess survives the storm and takes control of the mat after they fight to the outside with Ember sending her into the STEEL STEPS WITH A WICKED THUD!

Ember Moon pounces on the damage she has done to Millie outside the ring and keeps the pressure up on the 21st-century badass. Millie lives up to her name, staying alive in this match before fighting back, making Ember worry as Millie is trapping her in submissions and it looks like she might be about to pull off a huge upset tonight. Ember gets desperate and takes the turnbuckle pad off. The referee goes to fix the turnbuckle, but Ember behind his back RAKES THE EYES OF MILLIE AND ROLLS HER UP, PUTTING HER FEET ON THE ROPES TO STEAL THE WIN!

Winner via pinfall: Ember Moon (8:16)

Ember Moon gets her feet off the ropes in time for the referee to turn around and gets to her feet to celebrate the victory. Millie is furious on the mat and points at her eyes… SO EMBER CHEAP SHOTS HER! Boos ring out from the crowd as Ember looks to do more damage… BUT CHARLI EVANS RUNS OUT AND CHASES HER OUT OF THE RING! Corey puts Ember over as the favourite to win the match as SmackDown goes on a commercial break.

Zack confirms that it is correct and says they have both had great moments at WrestleMania over the years, with this being a chance for them to credit their own WrestleMania moment once again!

Curt Hawkins even goes on to say that unlike Zack, he has never held singles gold in WWE, and tomorrow night, he can earn himself a United States title shot. Kayla then changes the subject to Edge and Rey taking on The Usos tomorrow as well. She asks how they think their friend will do, but before they can say a word, THE USOS SUPERKICK THE DUO! *PHENOMENAL*

AJ STYLES
makes his way out, getting a loud mixed reaction from the crowd. He seems to not be in the best mood as he walks to the ring, but he takes his time before climbing in between the ropes. Byron Saxton says this Sunday, we will see Finn Balor take on AJ Styles with the loser being kicked out of The O.C. Corey Graves says the issues between the co-leaders have reached a breaking point and it is time for one leader in the group! AJ asks for a microphone from someone at ringside before returning to the middle of the ring.

AJ says he tuned into last week’s SmackDown after it aired because he wanted to hear what Finn had to say. AJ says he was considering maybe offering an olive branch because they wanted this partnership to work, but it is clear now it was never ever going to work. The crowd reacts with cheers, agreeing with AJ as he carries on and tells us Finn can call him incompetent, but he could say the same about him. AJ brings up his failure to keep the US title, but before he can stay much more…

*I AM DANGER*

FINN BALOR STORMS OUT IN A LEATHER JACKET AND MICROPHONE IN HAND!
He gets loud boos from the live crowd and points at AJ bringing up the fact that AJ has not held gold in well over a year so he is in no position to discuss anyone being a failure. Finn says AJ approached him to start the group because he had taken a step back… AJ CUTS HIM OFF AND SAYS FINN HAD DONE THE SAME! Finn is in the ring now and face to face with AJ, denying it, but AJ laughs in his face, telling him that they had both stuttered last year!

Finn doesn’t accept it, but AJ starts to list off all the losses in a row: Luke Harper, Daniel Bryan, Karrion Kross and The Fiend Bray Wyatt. Finn has a face of thunder as AJ asks if that was the one that truly broke him, but Finn doesn’t answer. AJ says that Finn stepped into the ring with The Fiend and then he was never the same man again, calling Finn a coward. Finn at that point, snaps and PUNCHES AJ IN THE FACE… SO AJ PUNCHES HIM BACK!

The two co-leaders are brawling in the middle of the ring as the crowd goes wild… with the fans then booing as THE GOOD BROTHERS RUN OUT TRYING TO STOP THE FIGHT! KARL ANDERSON and LUKE GALLOWS pull them apart, with one man taking one of the leaders, pulling them away from each other. Byron Saxton says The O.C. is fully imploding before our eyes tonight. Corey Graves says only one of them will be the leader after this Sunday, before we cut to the…

BLOODLINE’S LOCKER ROOM! We can see The Bloodline table with JEY USO, JACOB FATU and TAMINA on one side whilst on the other side we can see JIMMY USO and NAOMI! The camera pans up to show ROMAN REIGNS at the head of the table with a slight smile on his face. He turns to Jacob Fatu and puts his hand on his shoulder saying his work tonight was a job well done, showing Matt Riddle the consequences of messing with The Bloodline!

Jacob tells Roman he loves him, bringing a bigger smile to the chief’s face as he looks at Naomi, saying tomorrow night, she can bring the briefcase back to the Bloodline and make sure she is next in line to become WWE Women’s Champion. Naomi nods, saying she doesn’t plan to let Roman down before Roman rises to his feet. He says it is time for him to lead by example and to take out another member of Alpha Academy, leaving the room as the commentary team tells us the main event is up next!

Ad break
---------------------------------------------------------------------

When we return from the commercial break, we cut to the commentary team, who gives us a medical update on a couple of superstars. They first of all confirm that Aiden English, after the beating given to him by Aleister Black, will be out of the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. They also confirm they have received word from Kurt Angle, who is at the hospital with Matt Riddle and he is out of Sunday’s Money in the Bank ladder match. They advise we will hear an update later tonight/tomorrow on what will happen regarding the 8th spot in the match, so stay tuned to social media!

*LEADING THE WAY*

DANIEL GARCIA
makes his way out to the ring, getting a decent pop from the live crowd with his towel around his neck, looking fired up ahead of tonight’s main event with a point to prove, it seems. Byron Saxton says Daniel Bryan scouted Garcia himself and sees him as a future champion, but Corey Graves says the young man is stepping into the lion’s den as he takes on…

*HEAD OF THE TABLE*

ROMAN REIGNS!
The boos are at a nuclear level of heat as Roman slowly walks out and lifts the Universal title slowly over his head before heading to the ring with a purpose. Corey Graves says Roman has only just gotten back to the top of SmackDown and he intends to stay on top. Byron Saxton quips heavy is the head that wears the crown, wondering how big it would be for Garcia’s career tonight if he pulls off a huge upset. Roman stands in the ring across from Garcia, smirking as the referee calls for the bell and our main event is underway!

Main event: Roman Reigns vs Daniel Garcia

Match summary:
Roman is cocky at the start of the match and doesn’t take Daniel seriously which nearly catches him out as Garcia shows his submission expertise working over Roman, targeting the right arm looking to set up for an armbar! Roman overpowers him and soon realizes that this will not be a walk in the park, so he dominates the match using his size advantage to overpower and overwhelm Garcia as the match goes on, with the crowd slowly getting behind Garcia.

Roman gets frustrated that this isn’t an easy night and looks to end it with a SPEAR… BUT GARCIA AVOIDS IT CAUSING ROMAN TO CRASH INTO THE RING POST! Roman winces in pain, holding his shoulder as GARCIA GOES FOR A SLEEPER HOLD! Garcia looks to choke Roman out and the Universal Champion knows he is in trouble, SO HE SLAMS GARCIA BACK FIRST INTO THE TURNBUCKLES UNTIL HE LETS GO OF THE HOLD!

Roman struggles on the mat, but Garcia catches the right arm of Roman and locks him in an ARMBAR! Garcia is giving it everything here to cause an upset the night before WrestleMania! Roman is in a ton of pain, but with everything he has, he powers up Garcia and HITS A ONE-ARMED POWERBOMB! Roman stumbles back and leans in the corner… HITTING A SPEAR AS GARCIA RISES TO HIS FEET! Roman could make the cover, but instead scoops up Garcia and LOCKS IN THE GUILLOTINE CHOKE! He squeezes the life out of Garcia, who taps out!

Winner via submission: Roman Reigns (8:40)

Roman picks up the win but has no intention of letting go of the hold, squeezing the neck of Garcia and trying to injure him…

*FLIGHT OF THE VALKYRIES*

DANIEL BRYAN SPRINTS OUT!
He heads straight for the ring and catches Roman with the BUSAIKU KNEE! Roman falls to the mat as Daniel Garcia rolls to the side, coughing and spluttering. Bryan checks on him before looking at Roman, ready to attack him again… BUT THE UNIVERSAL CHAMPION ROLLS OUT OF THE RING! The crowd loudly boos Roman Reigns retreating from Daniel Bryan as the Royal Rumble winner asks someone at ringside for the microphone!

Daniel Bryan points at Roman Reigns and tells Roman that his Bloodline can try to break him and his friends, they can try to end his career, but Bryan has no intention of going quietly into the night! The crowd loudly cheers as Bryan points to the fans, saying that their love for him is a dagger in the heart of Roman and he better cling to the Universal title tightly for the next two nights because at WrestleMania, he takes that title away from Roman! Byran slams the microphone down as SmackDown ends with the fans chanting left whilst Roman scowls at the top of the entrance ramp!

- Matt Riddle will get replaced in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match but by whom? That is the million dollar question now isn't it? That just goes to show you just how dominant Jacob Fatu is after he destroyed Riddle. Didn't just beat him. Destroyed him. That is why they had the match stoppage which just puts Jacob over as a monster heel. The Bloodline's Enforcer their muscle and he has the chance to become WWE United States Champion tomorrow night at WrestleMania 37 on Night 1. He's scary but just so awesome.

- I actually thought that Vanessa Hudgens would make the save for Bianca Belair but she can't. She isn't a wrestler. She's an actress a celebrity. If she even tried, The House of Couture would have destroyed her. But they left Bianca laying again.

- Aleister Black destroyed Aiden English in dominant fashion. Message sent to Seth Freakin Rollins before their match at WrestleMania 37 inside Satan's structure inside Hell In A Cell.

- I mean who does The Cell favor more? Black he's never been inside Hell In A Cell. Rollins has by facing Dean Ambrose, Kevin Owens and the late Bray Wyatt. My point being Rollins knows all about Hell. But with Black, he seems to like it in Hell. He is all about the darkness. For me he reminds me a lot of The Undertaker and that's what or who Black has become in this diary. The supernatural conscience of the WWE. Hell In a Cell was Taker's match. Who knows perhaps Hell In A Cell can be that for Aleister Black.

- The WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos with a direct message to Edge & Rey Mysterio by going after Hawkins & Ryder, Edge's friends.

- Tay Conti beats the WWE Women's Champion Asuka's choice in a Pick Your Poison Match by beating Io Shirai...who knows Tay Conti could very well become WWE Women's Champion tomorrow night on Night 1 of WrestleMania 37

- But imagine if Naomi wins the WWE Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match? Think about how much more powerful The Bloodline becomes...they will have all the gold. All the power.

- Finn and AJ with their war of words but the funny thing is they were both absolutely right about each other. Then they come to blows and have to be broken up by Gallows & Anderson. Where were Big Cass & Murphy while this is going down? Because all of them could be a deciding factor in the match and they can decide ultimately which leader they side with whilst turning on the other one and kicking him out of the group.

- But there are other women in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match like Ember Moon, Millie McKenzie and Carmella plus the women on the RAW side to stop Naomi like her own cousin in law Nia Jax, Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott and Piper Niven

- Dijakovic with his actions it is at least clear to me that he is leaving The Ungovernables. I mean his actions show just that by saying he doesn't need nor want their help. He is striking out on his own. Stops Nakamura from beating down Owens. Dijakovic might be turning babyface soon enough. The seeds are being planted pretty much.

- Tribal Chief Roman Reigns the WWE Universal Champion beats Alpha Academy member Daniel Garcia in the main event...but that was to be expected but then seeing Bryan make the save for Garcia just as Roman is about to beat up on Garcia some more...again also expected

As far as who replaces Riddle in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match I can see it being Riddle's own stable mate Daniel Garcia so Garcia can get his first WrestleMania appearance or I can see it being an NXT superstar getting a main roster call up right at WrestleMania but who? I can see it being Keith Lee or Adam Cole BAY BAY even

As far as who replaces Aiden English in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal I can see it being an NXT guy

WrestleMania 37 Night 1 Recap:

WWE Title match:

Samoa Joe © vs Big E

Back at WrestleMania 36, Big E beat 7 other men to win the Money in the Bank ladder match in arguably the biggest moment of his career. Big E would confirm the Smackdown after WrestleMania that he wasn’t going to cash his briefcase in the same way other people did, waiting for the champion to be weakened and taking advantage. Big E promised he would save it for WrestleMania 37 and fight whoever was the WWE Champion on the biggest stage of all for his own KofiMania moment.

Samoa Joe meanwhile at WrestleMania 36 was taking care of some business, defeating Sheamus in a singles match having come off recently losing his United States title to Chad Gable. Joe would try to defeat Aleister Black for the Universal title but would fall short and leave Joe wondering what he needed to do to make it to the top where he feels he belongs. At this point MVP would appear to Joe looking to offer his services, referencing their alliances in other companies.

Joe would take some time to think about it but in the end, he would say yes to the offer from MVP with Joe going after Brock Lesnar and costing him a number one contender’s match with Andrade. This led to Samoa Joe fighting Brock Lesnar at Summerslam where Joe convincingly defeated the Beast. Meanwhile elsewhere on the show, Big E teamed with Xavier Woods (with Kofi Kingston out with an injury) to defeat The Ungovernables Cesaro and Ilja Dragunov to become World tag team champions.

Samoa Joe would carry on his tear, defeating John Cena at the next show whilst on Raw we would see The New Day lose their World tag team titles to The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander). Big E and Samoa Joe would both enter the King of the Ring meeting in the final but we would see Samoa Joe win out, earning a WWE title match with Drew McIntyre at Survivor Series which he would go on to win whilst Big E lost a Survivor Series match as captain to the rest of The Hurt Business with Swerve Strickland the sole survivor.

Big E would struggle a bit with his confidence before being confronted by Goldberg, leading to a clash between the two which Big E would win. Samoa Joe would go on to defend his WWE title against Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn and Kofi Kingston in the lead-up to WrestleMania. Big E would come close to winning the rumble but again was halted by Swerve before defeating Bobby Lashley at Fastlane. In the months leading up to WrestleMania, The New Day and The Hurt Business have had plenty of words to say to one another.

Samoa Joe has been very pointed in his barbs towards Mr. Money in the Bank Big E, saying he is too reliant on his friends in the New Day. Big E says his friends have supported him and without them, he would not still be here. Both men have been in the form of their careers since WrestleMania 37 but something has to give in the main event of Night 1. Will Samoa Joe’s dominance as WWE Champion carry on or will Big E get his own KofiMania moment?

WWE Women’s title match:
Asuka © vs Taynara Conti

Asuka has been one of the most dominant forces the WWE has ever seen period. Very few women have managed to beat the Empress in her WWE career so far: Charlotte, Carmella, Becky Lynch, Ember Moon and Shayna Baszler. Every single one of them is a former Women’s Champion which just goes to show the size of the task facing Conti at WrestleMania as she tries to do what no one expects: be ready for Asuka! Conti has already tried to beat the Empress once, facing her at the Royal Rumble.

Conti gave a good account of herself and pushed Asuka to the limit but as is the normal case with Asuka, it wasn’t enough to bring her down. Conti would regroup as she entered the Elimination Chamber taking on Sasha Banks, Bayley, Ember Moon, Bianca Belair and Xia Li causing another upset to earn this title match. Conti shocked the world last year when she beat Sasha Banks and also recently when she beat Io Shirai, can she do it again on the biggest stage of them all and become WWE Women’s Champion?

Intercontinental title match:
Swerve Strickland © vs Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston inspired many people when he won the WWE title at WrestleMania 35. One of the people who has said in interviews that he was inspired by Kofi’s win is Swerve Strickland. At the time Swerve was making a name for himself on the independent scene and proving to be one of the hottest free agents in the business. He spent 2019 and 2020 showing signs of what he could do on NXT before being scouted by MVP who brought him to Raw to join the Hurt Business!

Swerve Strickland made an instant impact picking up a win on Lio Rush and Swerve would carry on his form picking up wins over the likes of Samoa Joe. Kofi meanwhile would come off a loss to Karrion Kross at WrestleMania 36 and would soon pick up an injury taking him out of action for 5 months. Swerve in this period would start a rise towards the top, only eating on loss at King of the Ring to WWE Champion at the time Drew McIntyre. Kofi would return at Survivor Series teaming with Team New Day but Swerve would walk out of the match as the sole survivor.

Swerve Strickland would use becoming the sole survivor to get himself a shot at the Intercontinental title, defeating Sami Zayn to become champion at Starrcade. Swerve would go on to impress in the Royal Rumble making it to the final 3 of the match and defeating anyone who tried to take the Intercontinental title from. Swerve however ever since winning the title seemed to develop even more of an ego as he felt untouchable, something that rubbed The New Day the wrong way.

The New Day and The Hurt Business would collide in a huge 12-man tag team match on Raw in the build-up to WrestleMania 37 with Kofi Kingston catching Swerve out and pinning the Intercontinental Champion! Swerve would then accept the challenge from the veteran, promising to use the inspiration he gained from KofiMania to surpass Kofi and his legacy. Will Kofi be able to become a 5-time Intercontinental Champion or will Swerve be true to his word and start surpassing Kofi’s legacy tonight?

WWE tag team titles match:
The Usos © vs Edge and Rey Mysterio

The Usos have a very strong claim to being one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history. They have had success in the tag team division in the modern era pretty much only matched by the New Day and The Bar over the last few years, with The Usos now being 8-time tag team champions having won the WWE tag team titles from Heavy Machinery at Roadblock. But on the way to winning back tag team gold, they had made enemies in two veterans: Edge and Rey Mysterio!

Edge would lose in his match against Roman Reigns thanks to The Bloodline interfering (including Jacob Fatu) whilst Rey Mysterio would have his son Dominik Mysterio taken out by the current tag team champions. Edge and Rey would team up to see off former tag team champions Shinsuke Nakamura and Dominik Dijakovic before turning their attention toward the Usos. Will the experience of being in several tag teams benefit the veterans or will The Usos experience together prove to be the difference maker?

Cruiserweight title match:
Lio Rush © vs Xavier Woods

Xavier Woods has always been seen as the weak link in the New Day over the years. A lot of fans see him as someone who didn’t have what it takes to be a singles champion in WWE. Woods would start to listen to those words whilst his teammates would tell him to ignore them. Lio Rush meanwhile started 2020 last year focused on being a manager and trying to get the All-Mighty Bobby Lashley back on side. He even tried to win the Cruiserweight title from Mustafa Ali at the Royal Rumble but fell short.

MVP would return to the WWE in the 2020 Royal Rumble and see potential in Lio Rush that evening taking him under his wing. There were some issues between the two but Lio would soon come to respect MVP and his advice to join The Hurt Business as they slowly started to take shape. Xavier Woods meanwhile would have a crisis of confidence, brought on by MVP’s comments towards him and whilst he would win the World tag team titles with Big E, they would soon lose them to The Hurt Business members Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander!

The New Day versus Hurt Business feud would carry on with team Hurt Business defeating team New Day at Survivor Series. Lio Rush though would have the biggest night of his career the night after Survivor Series, answering an open challenge from Mustafa Ali and becoming Cruiserweight Champion! Lio Rush would regularly defend the title taking on the likes of Tyler Breeze, Tyler Bate and Mustafa Ali keeping the title around his waist as we head into WrestleMania.

Xavier Woods meanwhile would pick up wins against the likes of Oney Lorcan and former World Champion Dolph Ziggler on Raw before a number one contender’s gauntlet match was made two weeks from WrestleMania 37. Xavier Woods would enter halfway through the match and win the whole thing to earn his shot at WrestleMania. Lio Rush would remain confident and talk trash but a few words from Bobby Lashley in the lead-up to the match would have Lio questioning things. Will Rush hold onto his title or will Woods prove he is worthy of being a singles champion?

Hell in a Cell match:
Aleister Black vs Seth Rollins

Two men who have been at war for over 9 months collide inside hell at WrestleMania. Seth Rollins after losing to Edge at WrestleMania 36 in a street fight would slowly sink further and further into madness, starting up his own church in his image, becoming a true threat to everyone in the WWE. Aleister Black meanwhile walked out of WrestleMania 36 as Universal Champion for the first time having defeated Brock Lesnar and Andrade Cien Almas, eliminating both men in a three-way dance.

Seth Rollins and his church would be drafted to Smackdown Live after The Queen of the Ring, setting his sights directly on the Universal title. He would cheat to win inside the Elimination Chamber to earn his title shot at Summerslam which would lead to Edge qualifying for Summerslam as well. Aleister Black would welcome both challengers, confident in his ability to beat both of them and this would backfire on him when Karrion Kross at the behest of Seth Rollins threw a fireball in his face!

Seth Rollins however would not walk out of Summerslam as Edge would pick up the win, pouncing on the fireball attack and win his 13th world title. Seth wouldn’t let sleeping dogs lie and would fight Edge in Hell in a Cell at No Mercy taking the Universal title from him. Seth would stay on top of Smackdown in Black’s absence, proclaiming himself to be a God until at King of the Ring after Seth defeated Rey Mysterio, Aleister Black made his return vowing to destroy Seth Rollins and Karrion Kross.

Aleister Black would defeat Karrion Kross in the lead-up to Survivor Series before fighting Seth Rollins in a street fight at the event. Black would defeat Seth Rollins and give him a taste of his own medicine putting him through a flaming table. Aleister Black would go on to defend his Universal title against several challengers defeating AJ Styles, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens and Buddy Murphy up to and including the Royal Rumble. Seth Rollins meanwhile would return in the Rumble coming 2nd to Daniel Bryan.

It would then be confirmed at Roadblock that Aleister Black would defend his Universal title inside of the Elimination Chamber. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, AJ Styles and Finn Balor would be the 5 other men to step inside the structure. It would come down to the final 3 of Black, Roman and Rollins but after Aleister Black eliminated Seth Rollins from the match, Seth would stay in the chamber and hit a curb stomp on Black to cost him the Universal title!

Aleister Black would not take kindly to what Seth Rollins did and immediately went on the rampage the Smackdown after Roadblock taking out 4 men at once! Black would make it clear he wanted one thing now at WrestleMania 37: to take Seth Rollins to hell! Seth would have a smug look on his face before accepting Aleister Black’s challenge to fight inside the cell. Seth has experience inside Satan’s structure whilst this will be Aleister Black’s first time, who will leave hell the victor?

Grudge match:
Beth Phoenix vs Natalya

Beth Phoenix came back to the WWE at WrestleMania 35 teaming with her best friend Natalya as the Divas of Doom looked to turn back the clock and become tag team champions. The two women feel short on several occasions with Beth and Natalya even pushing then Women’s Universal Champion Becky Lynch to the limit. Coming out of WrestleMania 36, Beth would talk to Natalya about hanging her boots up and 2020 being the last year of her career, something Natalya tried to get her to change her mind on.

Beth was insistent and The Divas of Doom had their eyes fixed on winning tag team gold until Becky Lynch vacated her Women’s Universal title due to her pregnancy and it became the prize at stake in the Queen of the Ring tournament. Beth Phoenix would turn back the years, running through the field before beating Charlotte Flair to become the first-ever Queen of the Ring and also the Women’s Universal Champion. The glory wouldn’t last long however as two nights later Shayna Baszler would cash in her money in the bank briefcase to win the title on Monday Night Raw!

Shayna and the rest of the MMA Horsewomen at the time (Ronda Rousey, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke) would beat down the Divas of Doom and Nia Jax (who was fighting Beth for the Women’s Universal title in Raw’s main event writing Beth off TV for several weeks. Natalya would challenge for the Women’s Universal title at Armageddon but lost out to Shayna Baszler, with Beth Phoenix making her return after the bell to make the save for her friend.

Beth and Shayna in the lead-up to Summerslam would trade words as Shayna Baszler would tell Beth that she would accept a challenge from her if Beth put her career on the line. Natalya tried to talk Beth out of it but her tag team partner accepted the challenge promising to get revenge on Shayna Baszler for what she took from her. Natalya would try to talk Beth out of it and challenge for the tag team titles instead but Beth said she would after she beat Shayna… so Natalya cost Beth the match at Summerslam ending Beth’s career!

Natalya would the night after Summerslam confirm the reasons why she did it: calling Beth selfish and focused only on her goals instead of the tag team titles. The crowd would rip into her but Natalya would get what she wanted by joining the MMA Horsewomen with them giving her the tag team titles through the Freebird rule. Natalya and the MMA Horsewomen would carry on as normal until Beth Phoenix would return in the Royal Rumble out for revenge, eliminating Natalya from the match!

Beth Phoenix would make it clear she was only back for one reason and one reason only: to get revenge on Natalya. The Queen of Harts would refuse to face Beth ducking her for weeks but Beth would be relentless, costing Natalya matches including a Money in the Bank qualifier against Liv Morgan. Natalya would finally have enough and accept the challenge promising to retire Beth for good! Will Natalya stick to her words or will Beth Phoenix get her revenge?

Grudge match:
Drew McIntyre vs Tommaso Ciampa

Drew McIntyre walked into last year’s WrestleMania and defeated Roman Reigns after winning the Royal Rumble to become WWE Champion. Drew would have a lengthy reign beating Buddy Murphy, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, Sheamus, Andrade Cien Almas, Cesaro and Swerve Strickland whilst champion. He finally hit a brick wall when Samoa Joe appeared to take the WWE title from him at Survivor Series. Drew would try to win the title back and try to win the Royal Rumble again but he fell just short.

Tommaso Ciampa in contrast had been a superstar on the rise, joining Monday Night Raw after losing a loser leaves town match to Johnny Gargano. Ciampa would not take the loss well and after payment from John Morrison, would target The Miz looking to take the former WWE Champion out. Ciampa would soon rise up the ranks after this attack, making a name for himself as a killer and was seen as a dark horse going into the 2021 Royal Rumble until Drew McIntyre eliminated him from the match.

Tommaso Ciampa would react badly to this and would attack Drew McIntyre backstage, writing him off TV for several weeks. At Fastlane, Ciampa would collide with a recently returned from injury Pete Dunne (who Ciampa had injured). Dunne would give a good account of himself but Tommaso Ciampa would pick up the victory. However, he was not happy with just a victory and looked to finish the job… but Drew McIntyre made his return chasing off Ciampa.

Drew McIntyre would make it clear he wanted to fight Ciampa as soon as possible but Ciampa made it clear he wanted the payday and was going to wait for WrestleMania to make sure he could make the most money for his family. Ciampa would even go behind Raw commissioner Wade Barrett’s back and make sure contact from Drew McIntyre was banned. Ciampa would further stick the knife in beating Sheamus in a bar room brawl on Raw. Will Drew make Ciampa suffer for his attacks or will Ciampa pick up another huge win over a WrestleMania main eventer?

Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match:
Nia Jax vs Carmella vs Liv Morgan vs Ember Moon vs Ruby Riott vs Millie McKenzie vs Piper Niven vs Naomi

The Women’s Money in the Bank once again returns to WrestleMania for the 2nd year in a row. Each woman who has won the briefcase has gone on to become champion by cashing in: Carmella, Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks and Shayna Baszler. Let’s have a look at the 8 women entering the match:

Carmella: Carmella is the only woman to have won the Money in the Bank briefcase twice and she will be looking to relive those glory days at WrestleMania 37. Qualifying for the match by defeating Franky Money on the Roadblock pre-show, Carmella knows how to win the match and will be looking to be the first-ever person to win three times male or female.

Ember Moon: Ember Moon at last year’s WrestleMania defeated Asuka to become WWE Women’s Champion for the first time in her career and finally secure a victory over the Empress. Ember would go on to beat Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Bayley and Sasha Banks as champion before losing to Bayley at Summerslam. Ember would go on a little bit of a descent after losing again to Bayley in a rubber match on Smackdown, entering a feud with Bianca Belair.

Ember would get angrier and angrier as she kept losing to Bianca Belair including a Survivor Series tag with both as captains as Belair came back from 3-1 down to beat Ember Moon, Taynara Conti and Xia Li. Ember would take out her anger on Conti but would find herself unable to get back into the title picture, being pinned by Conti in the Elimination Chamber final 2 at Roadblock. Ember defeated Sonya Deville to qualify for this match. Ember has made her intentions clear if she wins, will Asuka and Conti both have another woman to worry about on Night 2?

Liv Morgan: Liv Morgan had a rough 2020 missing a lot of time through injury but she made her return during the 2021 Royal Rumble, eliminating Ruby Riott. Shockingly her former teammate was not bitter about it and has tried to make peace with Ruby over the last couple of months. Liv meanwhile would defeat Natalya on Raw to qualify for this match. Liv Morgan is looking to make 2021 her year, will she leave the rest of the field crying about it?

Millie McKenize: Millie ever since being brought to Smackdown post-draft has been teaming with her close friend Charli Evans as part of the Medusa Complex. Both women have had good showings but Millie would earn the spot in the biggest match of her career defeating Billie Kay. Millie would be the youngest person to ever hold the Money in the Bank. Will she prove to truly be the 21st-century badass and become the future of the Women’s division?

Naomi: When Naomi came back just before WrestleMania 36 last year, she had a whole new outlook on her career and aligned herself with Roman Reigns. This would lead to the Usos slowly joining The Bloodline as the family looked to take over Smackdown. Naomi would chase gold throughout the year but each attempt to get her hands on gold would fall short including a WWE Women’s title match with Asuka at Roadblock. Naomi defeated old rival Mandy Rose to earn her spot in this match, will Naomi help bring even more gold to the family?

Nia Jax:
Nia Jax made her return in last year’s Sensational Sherri Battle Royal after a year out with injury, winning the match. She would claim she was screwed out of her rightful title match after Becky took some time off for her pregnancy but Nia would lose to Beth Phoenix and Shayna Baszler in Women’s Universal title matches. Nia would qualify for this match beating Kayden Carter, an imposing force in the match. Can anyone stop Nia from climbing to the top?

Piper Niven: Piper would have an impressive run in the Queen of the Ring tournament making it to the quarter-finals, beating Billie Kay and Naomi before losing to Beth Phoenix. The impressive performance whilst a member of the NXT UK roster would earn her a spot on Raw in the draft and she would build off this to become one of the toughest women on Raw. She hasn’t quite been able to get her hands on the Women’s Universal title but she earned her spot in this match beating Shotzi Blackheart on Raw. Will Piper breakthrough like she has promised to do several times?

Ruby Riott: Ruby Riott went into 2020 determined to finally hold gold in WWE but she would find one stumbling block after another through the year. After coming up short in trying to win the WWE Women’s title, she would bring Shotzi Blackheart to Raw and form a tag team with the former NXT superstar. Nothing was working in Ruby’s attempt to win gold and she would soon be confronted by demons of the path when Liv Morgan returned to eliminate her from the Royal Rumble.

Ruby Riott though would react to this surprisingly well and look to make amends with Liv Morgan going into the Iron Survivor match for the vacant Women’s Universal title at Fastlane. Ruby would come close to winning the vacant title as would Liv Morgan, Tegan Nox and Nia Jax but Shayna walked out with the title. Ruby would still try to make up with Liv Morgan but she was very wary of her. Ruby meanwhile would beat Melina and earn her spot in this match. Will Ruby get the briefcase and finally get her ticket to gold in WWE?

Tag team match:
Bad Bunny and Damian Priest vs Logan Paul and Noam Dar

Bad Bunny is a global megastar and is currently the number-one superstar on Spotify worldwide as we speak. So, when the superstar said he was going to perform at the 2021 Royal Rumble, the WWE Universe was delighted. However, one man was not: Noam Dar. The cocky Scottish Supernova would make a point to target Bad Bunny and attack him after his performance with the help of his friend Kenny Williams. Bad Bunny would be furious and approach Wade Barrett and Shawn Michaels asking for a favor with one spot in the rumble match unassigned.

They would agree, leading to Damian Priest getting the chance on Bad Bunny’s behalf to enter the Royal Rumble. Priest would go right for Noam Dar, tossing him out of the Rumble before having a good showing and impressing Shawn Michaels enough to be signed to Smackdown Live! Priest would enter into a feud with Noam Dar and Kenny Williams who would try to antagonize the newest star from NXT leading to a match at Roadblock. Damian Priest was smart enough to lay out Kenny Williams before the bell but Noam Dar would get help from YouTube star Logan Paul!

Noam Dar and Logan Paul would cut a promo on Smackdown gloating over what they did to Damian Priest but the former North American Champion would not take it lightly, promising payback and issuing a challenge for a tag team match at WrestleMania with Bad Bunny by his side! Logan Paul and Noam Dar would jump Damian Priest and Bad Bunny at an after-party. Will the duo's cheap tricks keep working or will they very soon find their luck running out?
