For the moderators: My last thread finished on the 3rd of May (my time). This is my 2nd BTB attempt.

Here is my first post, complete with Backstory, Royal Rumble, No Way Out and Wrestlemania results, as well as rosters. Here is the massive backstory, all of its 25 pages and on the brink of 10,000 words!

WWE 2005: Rewriting History!

Backstory: We are back in 2005, before the WWE went crap, before the disastrous ECW came, before the tragedy of Eddie Guerrero, before the double murder suicide with Chris Benoit, and before the incredible, mega push of ‘Superman’ John Cena happened. Watch as I change the history of the WWE, changing the Royal Rumble, No Way Out and Wrestle Mania 21. Batista did NOT win the Royal Rumble, Kurt Angle became the WWE Champion, and HHH remained the World Heavyweight Champion, with the WWE Championship on Smackdown and the World Heavyweight Championship on Raw.

WWE Royal Rumble 2005

Shawn Michaels defeated Edge in 15: 37 when Edge was disqualified for refusing to stop kicking and punching away at Shawn who was in the corner, trapped.

After the match, Edge went for a Spear to HBK, but Michaels reversed into a devastating Sweet Chin Music, as HBK then posed for the crowd.

The Undertaker defeated Heidenreich in a Casket Match in 11: 52 after a Tombstone Piledriver off the apron into the casket.

After the match, the druids carried out Heidenreich while he was in the casket, only for The Undertaker to push Heidenreich off of the stage (Heidenreich will not return).

Kurt Angle defeated JBL and The Big Show for the WWE Championship in 19:52, after Kurt pinned JBL after an Angle Slam after the Big Show had been taken down from a Clothesline from Hell.

Kurt went and jumped into the audience after the match, with tears in his eyes. Kurt effectively turned face, as the crowd cheered on the new WWE Champ. Big Show is now in the Royal Rumble since he wasn’t pinned.

Triple H defeated Randy Orton in 13:17 to remain the World Heavyweight Champion after HHH nailed Orton with a Sledgehammer shot and then the Pedigree after the World Tag Team Champions Batista and Ric Flair distracted the referee.

Evolution then started bad mouthing the youngster, as HHH started screaming out that Randy would never take his title. Evolution then posed to big heat, with all gold wrapped around their waists.

Shawn Michaels won the Royal Rumble in 56:43 after last eliminating Batista after a Randy Orton distraction, enabling Shawn to Sweet Chin Music the back of Batista’s head to send him out of the ring.

Shawn then went on his hands and knees in the ring, soaking in the ovation from the crowd. Batista went on a rampage, chasing after Orton through the crowd, after ‘Tista entered at Number 30, he thought he had the match won after Shawn had already competed in a match earlier and had entered at number 10.

Raw side of thing between The Royal Rumble and No Way Out
Edge was angry that Shawn had managed to win the Royal Rumble, and that he (Edge) had picked such an early number. Since No Way Out is a Smackdown PPV, Eric Bischoff made a special request to Teddy Long to see if he could have a Raw Showcase match at NWO, between HBK and Edge, with the winner facing off against HHH at Wrestlemania 21! Speaking of HHH, HHH and the rest of Evolution were really pissed off since Randy cost Batista the Wrestlemania main event spot, but Randy was even more ticked off at Evolution as he was cost the World Title. After weeks of bickering and triple teams, Randy finally faced off against Batista, in a 15 foot high Steel Cage, six days before No Way Out. Batista managed to win after Flair handed Batista a steel pipe through the cage. Evolution started beating down on Randy, until Shawn Michaels and Edge came to save the day. All 6 men had a stare down, with HHH raising his title and constantly switching his gaze between Edge and HBK. During these weeks, Edge kept on catching up with his “brother” Christian, where Christian was obviously jealous that his brother could have the chance to main event The Granddaddy of Them All.

As Intercontinental Champion, Shelton Benjamin had many challengers coming his way, such as Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy. These three were continually putting on some fantastic matches, week after week after week. The 3 men were rewarded, as they were put into the first ever Inter-brand 6 Man Money in the Bank Ladder Match, where whoever grabbed the Briefcase would get a World Title match for whenever they want from Wrestle Mania 21 up until Wrestle Mania 22! Jericho had cashed in his rematch clause during this time for the Intercontinental Title, but when Jericho went for a Lion Sault, Shelton managed to roll out of the way, and the nailed Y2J with a very impressive 450 Degree Splash from the top rope!

It was revealed that Lita had only suffered a minor knee injury, which was not as serious as first thought. Lita returned 2 weeks after the Rumble, preventing the Women’s Champion from attacking Lita’s former foe but now friend Victoria. Trish was forced to defend her title against Lita, only for her to leave, and Lita won via count-out, therefore not winning the title. Also, at the Royal Rumble, Chris Benoit had a run in with long time friend Eddie Guerrero, where they embraced with a hug. During the Rumble, however, Eddie and Benoit were working as a team, until Eddie did a trademark move by eliminating Benoit behind his back! Benoit was obviously peeved off at Eddie, with Benoit then going on a rampage, and has been undefeated on Raw since the Royal Rumble, defeating the likes of Johnny Nitro and Rhyno. Lastly, Muhammad Hassan was continually saying how he was being continually disrespected by his superstars and the crowd since he wasn’t American. The crowd gave major heat for this, as Hassan even went as far as spitting on the USA flag!

Smackdown side of things between The Royal Rumble and No Way Out.
JBL was furious about losing the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble, and he cashed in his rematch clause 4 days after the Royal Rumble, but he came up short as the Undertaker’s music hit? When it looked like JBL would finish off Angle with his signature Powerbomb, the infamous ‘Gong’ played in the arena, as Bradshaw whipped around, leaving Angle unattended. As JBL turned around and walked to the centre of the ring, Angle tripped him up and locked him in the Ankle Lock, which made JBL tap out. Bradshaw was furious, which made him storm into Long’s office, demanding a rematch, with no interference. Teddy granted JBL his rematch, and it will be at No Way Out, with Kurt Angle defending his title against JBL, in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage! Also, JBL enlisted the help of his Royal Rumble opponent and now turned heel The Big Show to take care of the Undertaker, as Bradshaw was very scared of the Deadman. Another match was booked for No Way Out, with the 2 behemoths going at it, renewing the rivalry from a couple of years back. JBL was obviously scared of Taker, and he thought adding the Big Show to the Cabinet would solve the problem. Joy Giovanni, who is the manager of the 7 foot Giant, also went over to the Cabinet, turning heel in the process.

This would leave Smackdown without a Number 1 Contender for Wrestle Mania, until long made another huge announcement that night, saying that a tournament would take place, with the final being held at No Way Out. Booker T defeated Hardcore Holly, John Cena advanced after he defeated Bubba Ray, Eddie Guerrero defeated his nephew Chavo, and when it looked like the Big Show would advance as it looked like no one would stand up to him, BROCK LESNAR RETURNED! Brock managed to defeat the giant after an impressive Shooting Star Press, and Lesnar continued his streak by defeating Booker T in the semis, as we then crowned a new US Champion, with Eddie Guerrero defeating the former champ John Cena in their semi final match (Cena agreed to put it on the line, and the other tourney matches are non-title). Another match for NWO was set, and the main event for both brands for Mania would be set at the pay per view.

The inter-brand Money in the Bank ladder match was heating up, and 2 more of the participants were set, after a WWE Tag Team Title match, with two member of The Cabinet the Bashams trying to take the Tag Titles from the talented duo of RVD and Rey Mysterio. The Tag Team Champions Rey and RVD managed to put themselves into the massive ladder match and in the process retain their titles, after a combination of a 5 Star Frog Splash from RVD and a Dropping the Dime by Rey Mysterio to Doug. There would be a type of rematch at NWO, with the 2 teams battling it out again for the titles, but this time, D-Von and Bubba Ray of The Dudley Boyz were added to the mix! Also, a Battle Royal was added to No Way Out, with the winner being added to the Ladder Match at Wrestle Mania, having the chance to become the World Champion in the near future. The participants included John Cena, Billy Kidman, Booker T, Carlito Caribbean Cool, Charlie Haas, Chavo Guerrero and the last remaining member of the Cabinet Orlando Jordan.

The Cruiserweight Champion Funaki was continually defying the odds, defeating the likes of Spike Dudley (three times in a row), Paul London, the ‘Italian Stallion’ Nunzio and Shannon Moore. It was announced that at No Way Out, a man who had previously been in the WWE would return! (I am trying to increase the standard of the Cruiserweight division, as nowadays it is just a waste of time)Funaki was shocked at the announcement, as was everyone else in the arena. Various vignettes were then shown throughout the weeks leading up to NWO, and after Funaki had defeated Akio (also known to us in the future years as Jimmy Wang Yang), the vignette aired, with the inclusion of a man jumping off ladders and crashing through tables. Also, after the face turn of Kurt Angle, his Alliance broke up, as Luther Reigns doubted the ways of Angle, although Mark Jindrak defended his former mentor. The young tag team eventually blew up, and it eventually led to a massive brawl in the backstage area, and they made their way to the parking lot, still engaged in battle. The General Manager Theodore Long and the security team made their way to the parking lot, as Long made the final match for No Way Out, with Reigns and Jindrak battling it out, but since they can’t stay in the arena, it would be a PARKING LOT BRAWL!!!

WWE No Way Out!

WWE Tag Team Championships
Rey Mysterio and RVD vs. the Dudley Boyz vs. the Bashams

Rey pinned D-Von after a 619, followed by a Split Legged Moonsault from off the top rope. The Bashams were out after a 3-D each, and RVD and Bubba Ray were down after when the two men were fighting on the top rope, D-Von whipped Mysterio into them.

Parking Lot Brawl
Mark Jindrak vs. Luther Reigns

Jindrak pinned Reigns after Mark nailed his signature finisher The Mark of Excellence onto the hood of a Mustang. Reigns lay in the mixture of the glass, as the front window had been smashed. Jindrak looked on, as Reigns was taken out on a stretcher, never to be seen on a WWE screen again.

Cruiserweight Championship
Jeff Hardy vs. Funaki

Jeff Hardy returned to a rock-star ovation, and managed to defeat the obviously jobbing Funaki in a high paced, high flying match. Jeff won the match after a Whisper in the Wind, followed by a beautiful, picture-perfect Swanton Bomb of the top rope to win his first Cruiserweight Championship.

Money in the Bank spot Battle Royal
John Cena vs. Carlito vs. Billy Kidman vs. Booker T vs. Charlie Haas vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Orlando Jordan vs. Akio vs. Hardcore Holly vs. Scotty 2 Hotty

John Cena booked himself in the final spot of the Money in the Bank Ladder match, after he last eliminated Booker T after an FU over the top rope. Here is the order of eliminations:
1. Orlando Jordan by everyone in the ring.
2. Scotty 2 Hotty by Booker T after a Side Kick.
3. Akio by Hardcore Holly after an Alabama Slam, followed by throwing him over the top rope.
4.Charlie Haas by Carlito after a Low Blow, then Chavo helping out by throwing Haas over.
5. Carlito by Chavo Guerrero after Chavo double crossed Carlito.
6. Billy Kidman after a Hurricanrana over the top rope from Chavo.
7. Chavo Guerrero by Cena and Holly by a double team, ending Chavo’s streak.
8. Hardcore Holly by a Booker T Book End, followed by throwing him over.
9. Booker T via FU over the top rope from Cena.

Raw Showcase Match
Number 1 Contenders Match
HBK vs. Edge

Shawn Michaels made himself in the Wrestle Mania main event once again, after he defeated his long time foe Edge after Edge’s brother Christian distracted Edge after he nailed an Edgecution. Christian claimed he was just watching, and when Edge turned around, he walked straight into Sweet Chin Music. HBK had no idea Christian had distracted Edge.

Undertaker vs. the Big Show
The Undertaker lost to the Big Show after the rest of the Cabinet, including JBL, interfered in the match, As The Bashams and Orlando Jordan distracted the referee, JBL nailed the Undertaker with a devastating Clothesline from Hell, and then one Showstopper later from the Big Show, and the match was all over. The Cabinet continued to assault Taker; until fire exploded from the ramp way and KANE came running down the ramp, fending off the rest of the Cabinet! The Cabinet backed off and smirked, as Kane checked on his brother.

Number 1 Contender’s Non-Title match
Brock Lesnar vs. United States Champion Eddie Guerrero

Brock Lesnar defeated Eddie Guerrero in a classic match, after a Chris Benoit distraction. When it seemed Eddie would make it to the main event after the Three Amigos, ‘Whatever’ hit and Benoit came down to the ring! Eddie and the referee looked around, long enough for Brock to get up and low blow Eddie with a forearm shot from behind! Brock then nailed Eddie with an F-5, and he won the match! Benoit entered the ring with Lesnar, raising his hand, getting massive heat from the crowd, making the 2 men officially heel!

WWE Championship
Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match
Kurt Angle vs. JBL

A Wrestle Mania XIX rematch was official, as Kurt Angle defeated Bradshaw for the third time in a row, after the Undertaker appeared through a trapdoor in the ring. The Cabinet were shocked to see that JBL was trapped inside the cage with Angle and the Undertaker, but as they tried to get in, the barbed wire stopped them! BRADSHAW WAS TRAPPED! JBL charged at Angle, only for the champ to kick him in the gut, throw him to Taker, who connected with the Tombstone Piledriver! Kane came down to ringside once again, making the Cabinet flee! Angle then managed to rip the padlock off of the cage door, but before he left the cage, he connected with an Angle Slam into the steel, before leaving the ring, being declared the winner. The Brothers of Destruction started beating down on JBL, but The Cabinet returned, prompting Angle, who was halfway up the entrance way, to come back and help them. As the faces started to take charge, Brock Lesnar appeared from behind Angle! F-5 TO ANGLE! The Cabinet then beat down on the BOD, and the show closed with the heels standing tall, with Lesnar holding up the WWE Title Belt.

Raw side of things between No Way Out and Wrestlemania 21.
The main event for Mania was set, with former DX partners and best friends going at it, with HBK facing off against HHH for the World Heavyweight Championship. HHH obviously had the advantage leading into the match, with him having the numbers on his side with Evolution, he was more fit due to HBK competing in the Royal Rumble match as well as 2 twenty minute matches, but most importantly, as found out 1 night after No Way Out, HHH had the General Manager Eric Bischoff on his side. One night after NWO, HBK was put in a match against Ric Flair and Batista and Triple H in a 3 on 1 Handicap match. HBK put up a great effort, but the numbers proved too much for Shawn, as the World Champion then finished him off with a Pedigree. Randy then came down to defend Shawn, but it was still 3 on 2, and Evolution stood tall. Bischoff, who was still on Evolution’s side, made a match for Wrestle Mania, making Ric Flair and Batista defend the titles against Randy Orton and a partner of his choice. It looked like Randy would not get a partner, as the week later after a 3 on 2 handicap match pitting all of these 5 men in action. When Evolution were beating down the winners after HBK rolled up HHH, some infamous music hit, called ‘IF YA SMELLLLLLLLL!’ Randy’s partner was none other than The Rock! HHH, Ric and Batista stood still to the spot, petrified, as The Rock sprinted down to the ring, and delivered punches to all of Evolution, knocking them down! Batista was first up, but was met with a Rock Bottom! Ric then got up, only to walk into a devastating RKO from Orton, and when HHH got up, he walked into The Rock, quickly turned around only for Orton to be there, and when he turned the other way, and HBK nailed him with a Sweet Chin Music! All these 6 men had a battle of team up-man-ship, and 6 days before the annual Wrestlemania, Evolution had the last laugh, with various belt shots to the heads of their Wrestlemania opponents. Triple H finished it all off with a thunderous Pedigree onto the World Title Belt to the Number 1 Contender of the World Championship. HHH then said that no-one took his World Title, and posed to thunderous heat, as the last ever Raw before Wrestlemania 21 went to a close!

At No Way Out, Christian Cage distracted his brother Edge, causing Edge to lose his chance of main eventing Wrestlemania. Edge caught up with Christian, although The Instant Classic continually said that he was out there to watch the match. Edge had effectively turned face in the feud, after spearing Christian out of his boots after Cage had the chance to be in the Money in the Bank match. Edge could then be seen saying “I was just watching”. The brothers erupted in a massive brawl the next week, as Bischoff’s assistant Johnny Nitro came towards them, saying that they could do this at Wrestlemania, making another huge match! The continued to fight after this announcement from Nitro, which prompted Bischoff to create a restraining order between the two, and that if they touched each other, they wouldn’t get a shot at the World Heavyweight Title again, and their match for Wrestlemania would be called off. Eric then said, to make it a little more interesting, that the match for ‘Mania would now be a match that the 2 had much experience in as E&C, the match would be a Hardcore Match!!! The two brothers then fought in one Hardcore Pick your Poison match each, with Christian defeating the new Smackdown Superstar Kane after The Big Show came down and delivered a Showstopper onto a trash can (more on them two later). Edge also won his Hardcore match, defeating Christian’s Problem Solver Tyson Tomko after an Edgecution through the announce table, as he took advantage of the Falls Count Anywhere rule, pinning him on the outside. Christian came out through the crowd, but he remembered the stipulation about no more title matches. Christian and Edge went face to face, but then Christian told his brother to turn around as Tomko threw a chair into Edge’s face, but as Edge caught it, Tyson nailed him with a Big Boot to the face, causing blood to pour down Edge’s face. 6 days before Mania, Christian clearly had the edge (no pun intended) over his brother.

The fourth and final match from Raw was set 3 weeks before the biggest Sports Entertainment event of the year, after Hassan was continually bagging America and saying how he was disrespected. Bischoff came out during one of Hassan’s promos, saying how he was sick and tired of Muhammad taking up air time, saying how USA was a bad country and that the reason he wasn’t on the card for Mania was because of behaviour like that. Hassan was outraged at the General Manager’s comments, and when it looked like Hassan would attack Bischoff, Eric quickly retreated, saying that Muhammad would get a spot at Wrestlemania, and his opponent would be revealed next week. On the next Raw, Hassan came out at the start of the show, demanding to know who his opponent will be for Mania. It turned out to be none other than the ‘Rattlesnake’ Stone Cold Steve Austin! The crowd went completely apeshit for the return of Steve, but his return celebration was short lived as Hassan began to attack Austin! Hassan then went for a Reverse STO, only for Austin to reverse by kicking him in the gut and nailing the Stone Cold Stunner! The next week, Hassan beat down Austin when he was thanking the fans, before locking the fan favourite in with the Camel Clutch, with his “turban” thing wrapped around his neck. Hassan then said 6 days before Mania that Austin would not be able to make it, simply because he was destroyed by Muhammad. Austin, however, turned up that night on Raw, as the two fierce traded verbal blows, which ended up turning into a huge brawl.

Smackdown side of thing from No Way Out to Wrestlemania 21
Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar was set for Wrestlemania at No Way Out, after Brock defeated Eddie Guerrero to earn himself the WWE Title match. Lesnar was constantly bringing up how Lesnar defeated Angle for that very title at Wrestlemania XIX, as well as defeating Kurt in a 60 minute Ironman match. Lesnar defeated all of the Dudley Boyz in a 1 on 3 Handicap match, returning to his mean side, and winning after nailing 5 consecutive Powerbombs to Spike, as well as delivering a Spinning Spinebuster to Bubba Ray, before finishing off D-Von with a devastating F-5. Angle looked just as good the next week, as he defeated Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki in a Tornado Handicap match, after he hit Rene with an Angle Slam, before making Kenzo tap out to an Ankle Lock after hitting him with a Moonsault. The two men then traded blows over the next the next few weeks, with one week Lesnar blindsiding Angle, but the next week Angle would return the favour and attack Lesnar from behind. 72 hours before Mania, a Contract Signing was announced, to create further hype for the already sure to be classic match. The two traded a war of words after signing (or scribbling on, whichever you prefer) their contracts, before it lead into another tussle between the two fierce rivals. Lesnar took control, as he had much more muscle and was more powerful than Kurt. After Lesnar went for a decapitating clothesline, however, Angle ducked under and went for the Angle Slam, only for Lesnar to elbow out, and then hit the a Belly to Belly Suplex through the contract table! It seemed to affect Lesnar as well, as champion and challenger were laid out as Smackdown came to a close!

The Cabinet and the Brothers of Destruction feud went into overdrive after No Way Out, as the BOD were constantly reminded of the aftermath of the main event of NWO, with The Cabinet destroying the deranged brothers. The Cabinet were also frequently saying how the two versed each other at Wrestlemania XX, as they took the BOD’s signature move by using mind games. When a tag match was taking place between Undertaker and Kane vs. Orlando Jordan and JBL, it looked like the brothers would snap, but much to the Cabinet’s dismay, the BOD nodded to each other, and nailed stereo Chokeslams to the Cabinet, keeping their alliance intact! Teddy Long then announced the next week on Thursday that he had created 2 more matches for Wrestlemania. One of the matches would be between the two behemoths of Smackdown, meaning Kane and The Big Show (future partners) would battle it out! Long then announced that in what is becoming a sort of Mania tradition, the Undertaker will once again put his Mania undefeated streak against the leader of the Cabinet, JBL!! Bradshaw is somewhat shocked; as Teddy goes on to say in fairness, that if any bit of the Cabinet gets involved in that match, they will be fired immediately!!! JBL then went rampant, but the Cabinet found a flaw in the plan, as Teddy said at Mania, but not before Mania. The Cabinet went on a mission to destroy Kane and the Undertaker, and the plan succeeded until the last week, as Kane and the Undertaker caught them off guard and beat the holy hell out of the Cabinet, delivering a Tombstone each to the Bashams, and a Double Chokeslam to Orlando, as Big Show and JBL managed to retreat up the ramp without harm. The BOD then did their signature arm pose, as fire came up from John, causing him to jump, as it now looks like the ball is in the BOD’s court!

The last Smackdown match for Wrestlemania was made only 10 nights beforehand. The wrestling community were still buzzing about the return of Jeff Hardy, but the whole Cruiserweight division were pissed off that Hardy got a title match without even having to earn it. Funaki was especially upset, as he was denied a rematch for the Cruiserweight title. Teddy Long then said that a Triple Threat Cruiserweight Title match would take place at Mania, with Funaki getting his shot at the title, as well as Jeff Hardy also being in the match, obviously. Long then announced that on that edition of Smackdown, there would be a Cruiserweight Open Battle Royal, which would determine the other Number 1 Contender for the Cruiserweight Title. It looked like the ‘Italian Stallion’ Nunzio had picked up the win after eliminating Spike with an impressive head-scissors over the top rope, but Carlito, who hadn’t been seen since the Battle Royal at NWO, came out of the crowd and nailed Nunzio with The Cool, followed by throwing him over the top rope, being declared the victor and the last competitor. 2 days before Mania, Jeff Hardy served as Special Guest Referee in a match between Carlito and Funaki, which ended in Carlito winning after a unique double knee backbreaker to Funaki’s back, and then putting his feet on the ropes, which Hardy didn’t see. Jeff then checked on Funaki after the match, only for Carlito to lift up Hardy and nail him with The Cool, as Carlito looked like a serious contender for the CW Title!

Inter-promotional Matches hype from No Way Out to Wrestlemania 21
The Money in the Bank competitors was set, as Cena took up the final spot on Smackdown. There were some run-ins on Raw, as a Triple Threat Intercontinental Title match was taking place. When it looked like Hardy would pick up the victory, the Smackdown competitors came running down, causing a three on three brawl, with the Smackdown superstars winning out, after obviously getting their Wrestlemania opponents off guard. Teddy Long and Eric Bischoff arranged an agreement to hype the MITB Match, which meant that all of the 6 competitors could appear on any of the shows. The first match of this agreement was a great match between RVD and Matt Hardy, with the WWE Tag Team Champion coming out on top after a scintillating Five Star Frog Splash from the top rope. The two brands traded victories every week, and on an edition of Smackdown, John Cena challenged the tag champs to a tag team title match, which they accepted, and the partner of John Cena was none other than Y2J Chris Jericho! Jericho and Cena, however, came out just short, after Rey victory rolled Cena for the victory. Jericho and Cena looked to have an alliance going on, as on the final episode of Raw before Mania, a three way Intercontinental Title Ladder match took place! Cena came down to aid his friend Jericho, only for RVD and Mysterio to come down once again, as the Smackdown Superstars then brawled through the crowd, making it an even playing field. Shelton ended up winning the match after Jericho took out Matt with a Lion Sault with the aid of a ladder, and Shelton then capitalized of an injured Jericho and unconscious Hardy, to climb up the ladder and retain the title. 3 nights later on SD!, a huge 6 man tag match was billed, with Raw Versing Smackdown, as Raw came out on top with Shelton Benjamin coming out the victor yet again as he quickly pounced up when RVD was attempting a 5 Star, and nailed him with a Superkick in mid air! Shelton posed, as he clearly had the advantage heading into what is perhaps the biggest Ladder Match in history!

A United States Title Inter-promotional Match was set, as the recently turned heel and Raw Superstar Chris Benoit challenged former best friend Eddie Guerrero to a United States Title Match for Mania. Eddie remembered what Benoit did at No Way Out and how he was denied 2 consecutive Wrestlemania main events, and Eddie accepted, creating a classic match for Mania! Benoit started reusing the Sharpshooter in his move set, defeating Eddie’s nephew Chavo with that very move. Benoit showed up on each show, defeating anyone who came in his way. Eddie had to defend his title against Cabinet member Orlando Jordan, and he defeated him with ease after a Three Amigos and a Frog Splash. Los Guerreros returned also, with the uncle and nephew combination doing well and managing to defeat the Basham Brothers after a Frog Splash from Chavo to Doug and one from Eddie to Danny. After the match, when the family were heading to the back, Benoit came out an attacked the 2 men, by slamming Eddie’s head into the SD! Set repeatedly. Benoit then went over to Chavo, who was out after being whipped into the set, AND BENOIT GERMAN SUPLEXED CHAVO OFF THE STAGE! Eddie then got up, looking at Chavo who was unconscious, his body lying amongst 5 tables. Eddie looked extremely worried, but before he could do anything, Benoit came up from behind him and locked in the Crippler Crossface! Benoit let go after a minute, frothing from the mouth. It seriously looked like the US Title could be heading to Raw for the first ever time.

WRESTLEMANIA 21

Triple Threat Cruiserweight Title Match
Jeff Hardy vs. Funaki vs. Carlito

The match started with each man staring each other down, as Jeff and Funaki looked at each other, and then started advancing on Carlito, but Carlito quickly rolled under the ring, and let the other 2 start off. Hardy threw a few punches at Funaki’s head, only for him to duck, and nail some stiff forearms, and then some kicks to the thighs of Jeff. Funaki quickly bounced off the ropes but Hardy reversed quickly came back in the ring to break up the bridge cover, as he then went outside again. This was common throughout the match, as Funaki and Jeff displayed great ability, but whenever someone went for the cover, Carlito would enter the ring and break it up, before quickly scurrying away, but this was soon changed. Funaki whipped Hardy across the ropes to where Carlito, and before ‘Lito could say ‘SHIT!’ Hardy catapulted himself over the ropes and hit a brilliant flip senton to Carlito. Jeff then threw him into the ring, where Funaki met him with a kick to the jaw, which was followed by a front face lock, and dragging Hardy to the corner, looking for a Tornado DDT. When he leapt off, he was thrown away from Jeff straight into Carlito, who nailed him with The Cool! Hardy then went to Carlito and threw a clothesline, but Carlito ducked under and went for the Double Knee Spine-breaker, but Hardy held onto the ropes, spun off Carlito and then nailed a Reverse Twist of Fate! Carlito and Funaki were then unconscious next to each other, as Hardy scaled the ropes and both of them with a Swanton Bomb! Hardy then double covered them, as Hardy remained the Cruiserweight Champion!

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Muhammad Hassan
The match was a high standard match, with Hassan jumping Austin as he was coming down the entrance ramp, meaning the action started from the get-go. Hassan then whipped Steve into the steel steps, and then into the barricade, damaging the neck and back of Austin that Hassan attacked a couple of weeks ago on Raw. They eventually climbed into the ring, Hassan still in charge. Hassan then clotheslined Austin in the corner, and then connected with some shoulders to the gut, but when he went for a third, Austin ducked under and pushed Muhammad into the corner, before starting to drill him in the face with punches, as Hassan then fell to the mat. Austin then started stomping a ‘mudhole’ to Hassan, before giving him the 2 fingered salute, and started kicking him some more times. Later on in the match, after Hassan took control with a thumb to the eye, Austin looked to suffer a serious blow to the neck after a pullback Piledriver, and it looked to be the same as what happened with what happened to Austin after the Owen Hart accident. Hassan immediately climbed over for the cover, but Austin managed to kick out, although he still looked legitimately hurt. Hassan then attempted lifting up Austin, only for Austin to go for a Stone Cold Stunner, but Hassan pushed SCSA into the ropes, gave him and when he came back, Austin was low blowed, but the referee didn’t seem to care. Austin was then nailed with the Reverse STO! Hassan pulls off the shocking upset, as the referee smirks, and it turns out to be a mask. THE REFEREE WAS REALLY DAIVARI! The crowd give big heat, as the two men celebrate at the Granddaddy of Them All, as Austin is still holding his neck in pain.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. WWE Tag Champ RVD vs. “Y2J” Chris Jericho vs. John Cena vs. Matt Hardy vs. WWE Tag Champ Rey Mysterio

This match took MOTN honours, with many of extreme ladder spots. As soon as the bell rang, everyone except Matt Hardy got a ladder, as they then started brawling on the outside in the same spot, leaving the ladders on the floor. Hardy then went out onto the apron and jumped off with a crossbody on all of the other participants, and he then got a ladder and started climbing it, looking to pick up the early victory, only for RVD and Mysterio to enter and push the ladder down, but Hardy managed to land on his feet. The alliance of Jericho and Cena crumbled, as when Cena was about to climb the ladder, Van Dam kicked Chris, causing him to stumble back and knock off the ladder and crotch himself on the top rope! Cena, who didn’t see Rob kick Jericho, retaliated later on by FU’ing Jericho onto two stacked up ladders. An incredible spot was included in this match happened that had never been seen before, as Benjamin ran up a ladder that was leant on another ladder, and then clotheslined Matt Hardy off the top! RVD also did a death defying manoeuvre, nailing a Five Star from off the top of the ladder, and the match also included crazy stuff such as a Walls of Jericho to RVD inside a ladder, a Twist of Fate off of the ladder to Benjamin and a 619 with the aid of a ladder to Cena. Jericho also nailed a Lion Sault to the Tag Team Champions with a ladder each on top of them. The ending of the match came after Mysterio was thrown off the humungous ladder out onto the outside, and then Benjamin pulled off the unthinkable, nailing a sunset flip powerbomb to RVD off the ladder, causing RVD in the process to Superplex Cena off the ladder! Jericho and Hardy were the last 2 men on the ladders, as Hardy was on one and Jericho on the other. When Hardy went for another Twist of Fate off the ladder, Jericho managed to reverse, and after lots of struggling, managed to lock in a Walls of Jericho on top of the ladders, much like he did to Edge in the TLC match! While Hardy was still locked in the hold, Jericho released his arms and sat on Hardy’s back, before reaching up and unlocking the briefcase, being declared the victor!!!

Hardcore Match
Edge vs. Christian

This match was a brutal, blood-filled, gruesome match, with weapons such as ladders, tables, chairs, thumbtacks and barbed wire being used. Christian nailed a Falling Reverse DDT earlier on in the match, but then when he went for the Unprettier, Edge pushed him off the ropes and back dropped him into the thumbtacks!! That was when Edge rolled to the outside and grabbed a large box that he had obviously placed there, and when he got back in the ring, there were assorted barbed were objects, including Barbie and barbed wire steel chairs! Edge then got one of those chairs and placed it under Cage’s head, and then went for a Barbed Wire Con-Chair-To, but Tomko came rushing in, only to be met with a barbed wire chair shot to the head! Christian, however, had gotten up, and nailed Edge in the back of the head with another bag of thumbtacks, making all the pins dig in to the back of his head! The crowd yell in disgust, as Christian then goes outside the ring and gets the table, followed by sliding a ladder into the ring. As Edge was about to get up, Christian nailed Edge with the ladder, before setting up the table, and he then pulled two things out of his boot. It was a lighter and some lighter fluid!! Christian then set up the ladder in the centre of the ring, before setting the table on fire! Christian then lifted up Edge, as Christian climbed the side of the ladder nearest to the ladder, and then TRIED TO SUPLEX EDGE OFF THE LADDER THROUGH THE FLAMING TABLE! Edge managed to hold on to the ladder and then connected with some punches to the gut, before taking a big breath and SPEARED CHRISTIAN OFF THE LADDER THROUGH THE FREAKING TABLE!!! The crowd go completely apeshit, screaming out “HOLY F*^#!NG SHIT!” Edge is shivering (like he did at Mania 22 IRL), and manages to drape an arm over Christian, keeping his Mania streak intact.

WWE United States Championship
Chris Benoit vs. US Champ Eddie Guerrero

This match was a classic match, with incredible mat skills being displayed, as well as aerial attacks and various suplexes, with the heavily awaited bout going for over 20 minutes. Benoit used Eddie’s Three Amigos, but Eddie returned the favour by stealing Benoit’s rolling German Suplexes. Benoit countered Eddie’s attempt to clothesline him over the ropes, back dropping Eddie over instead. Benoit then went back, as he then saw Eddie recovering. Benoit then bounced off the ropes AND CONNECTED WITH A SUICIDE DIVE THROUGH THE SECOND ROPE!!! Benoit smirked, as he rolled Eddie back in the ring, and then he nailed the Rolling Germans! Benoit then did a cut throat taunt, as he headed up top. Benoit then leapt off for the Diving Headbutt, but nobody was home! Eddie then lifted up Benoit, and nailed a move he hasn’t used in years, the Splash Mountain (Sitout Crucifix Powerbomb)! Eddie then went out onto the apron and jumped onto the top rope, and connected with the Frog Splash! The US Title is staying on SD! After the match, Eddie was about to leave the ring, but he saw Benoit on the mat, writhing in pain and holding his neck. Eddie then swung his leg back in the ring, and went over to Benoit, and helped him up. Benoit and Eddie then looked at each other and nodded, before embracing in a hug, with shades of Wrestlemania 20! Benoit and Eddie left together, once again friends.

Big Show vs. Kane
The Battle of the Monsters of Smackdown was an all-out brawl, although it was a fairly sluggish match. The Cabinet minus JBL were on the outside, distracting Kane at every moment possible, although the referee didn’t make them go off, and Teddy Long didn’t come out and fire them as he said the JBL match, but not this match. In what seemed like revisiting Wrestlemania 3 18 years ago, as Kane managed to nail the 7 foot tall monster with a huge body slam. The Cabinet were amazed and had obviously under-estimated Kane, as their jaws dropped at the sight. A couple of minutes after the amazing body slam, Kane headed up top, looking for his signature Flying Clothesline, but The Bashams distracted the referee, as Orlando then hopped up onto the apron and nailed him with a steel pipe to the back of the head! Show then lifted up the dead weight of Kane, and finished off Kane with a signature Chokeslam, picking up the very important victory. After the (pun intended) BIG match, Amy, Joy, The Bashams, Orlando and Show stood tall, as the Chief of Staff and the Secretaries of Defence laid some occasional boots to the stirring Kane.

World Tag Team Championships
Randy Orton and The Rock vs. World Tag Team Champs Batista and Ric Flair

This match was another Wrestlemania standard match, with the legend The Rock making his long awaited in ring return, as well as Randy Orton getting his payback towards Evolution after being kicked out last year and being cost the World Title countless times. The unlikely team of Orton and The Rock nearly pulled off the shocking upset, after Orton delivered his old finisher the Overdrive to Batista, only for Flair to come in and break up what was sure to be a 3 count! It came back to bite the Evolution members in the arse, however, as after Flair delivered one of his famous Shin Breakers which was followed by a Back Suplex, The Rock placed Orton’s foot on the ropes, causing the referee to stop the count. Randy was the face in peril, and every time he got some momentum, Evolution would just shut him down. Finally, there was a break- through for Orton, as after Batista attempted a clothesline, Randy ducked under and nailed the signature Backbreaker! At the same time, Orton and Batista tagged in their respective partners, as the crowd erupt, finally getting what they wanted to see, Flair and the Rock facing off!! The two traded many blows, Flair chopping away at the chest of The Rock, whereas Rocky would hit Ric with punches. The Rock came out on top, and then hit his signature combo, and Flair then did the “Old Man Flop”. Flair got up soon after, only to be met with a Short Arm Clothesline from The Rock, followed by The Rock whipping him against the ropes and nailing a Back Body Drop when he got up. Later on in the match, Orton, who had by now recovered, was the legal man, and Flair was for Evolution. The action spilled to the outside, where Orton had now cleared the Spanish Announce Table. Orton then hopped up to the ring apron closest to where the tables where, and where Flair was, down after an Orton clothesline from inside the ring. Batista was recovering after The Rock hit him with a Rock Bottom, but was unable to make the cover as he was not the legal man, and The Rock was out after a low blow from Flair that went unnoticed by the ref. Orton had then lifted up Flair onto turnbuckles, facing him towards the tables. Orton then got Flair in a Super RKO position, LOOKING FOR A SUPER RKO OFF THE APRON THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! When Orton was about to leap off, the recovered Batista quickly held onto Flair, and when Randy leapt, Flair was still on the top rope being held by Batista, AND RANDY ORTON CRASHED THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE FROM OFF THE APRON! Randy was spread eagled on the floor! The crowd is shocked at the death defying stunt, as The Rock has now gotten up, looking at his unconscious tag partner. Ric then catches a distracted Rock with a thumb to the eye! A blinded Rock turns straight around into a Batista Spinebuster! Batista then wins the match, although he wasn’t the legal man and neither was The Rock! After the match, Randy was taken out on a stretcher, as a very disappointed Rock followed.

Undefeated Streak on the Line
Undertaker vs. John Bradshaw Layfield

This match displayed great technical ability, and it also showed the doubters that JBL could still put on some great matches. JBL looked to have pulled off the shocking upset 8 minutes into the match, somehow finding enough strength to lift up Undertaker and nail him with one of his signature Powerbombs, although Undertaker had enough will power, as he managed to roll a shoulder up much to the dismay of Bradshaw but much to the delight of the crowd. 2 minutes after the Powerbomb, Undertaker finally took control, after he had been dominated by Bradshaw for most of the match apart from the early minutes. After the amazing kick out from Undertaker, a frustrated JBL then attempted a Clothesline from Hell, but Taker managed to nail him with a kick to the gut and nail a jaw dropping Chokeslam! Taker then climbed over for the cover, but somehow JBL found himself with his foot underneath the ropes, preventing the Undertaker from extending his streak to 13-0! By the time Undertaker had pulled JBL towards the centre of the ring and covered him once again, the “Self Made Millionaire” found it very easy to kick out. Taker then lifted up JBL and twisted his left arm, before walking him towards the corner, arm still twisted as John still writhing in pain. Taker then goes on to the turnbuckles and scales the ropes, as we see the crowd rise up behind him. Taker then connects with the Old School to a thunderous pop from the crowd! JBL then gets up, and is met with a Big Boot from Taker, followed by Taker bouncing off the ropes and nailing his nemesis with a leg drop to the throat! Taker then lifts up JBL and puts him between his legs, looking for his own signature powerbomb, the Last Ride! JBL, however, decides he needs a rest, and hops down and rolls out of the ring, near the entrance ramp. Taker, however, denies JBL, by bouncing off the ropes opposite and nailing his over the top rope, awe inspiring suicide dive! Taker then rolled JBL into the ring, and nailed him with a signature Tombstone Piledriver! Taker then did the Darkness Cover, and retained his perfect undefeated Wrestlemania streak, boosting it up to an astonishing 13 wins and 0 losses!

WWE Championship Match
Wrestlemania XIX Rematch
Brock Lesnar vs. The WWE Champion Kurt Angle

This was just like these two men’s match two years ago at Wrestlemania 19 and all of their previous encounters, an absolute classic match!! This match reached the near 25 minute mark, and was the 2nd best match of the night. Lesnar definitely had the advantage in the early going, using his amazing combination of strength and speed to wear down Angle, working on the ribs of Angle that Lesnar injured on the last Smackdown after the Belly to Belly Suplex through the table. The two men went through extreme measures just to beat the living hell out of each other, with Angle nailing a Moonsault off the top rope onto the outside, and Lesnar nailing a Shooting Star Press all the way across the ring. Speaking of the Shooting Star Press, this time there was no botch, as Lesnar nailed it right to the sternum of Kurt. There were also shocking kick outs in the match, with Lesnar managing to kick out of an Angle Slam, and Angle somehow managing to keep on to his title for the time being after kicking out of two simultaneous Spinning Spinebusters by Lesnar. After that shocking kick out from Angle, Lesnar started to get frustrated and threw everything he had at Angle, with a Belly to Belly Suplex, a Brock Lock and Powerbombs just some of the things that he did to Angle, but the ever resilient WWE Champion showed why he was an Olympic Gold Medallist by continually kicking out. Lesnar had had enough, and looked to go eventually for the dreaded F-5 to Kurt Angle, but Angle slid over the top of Brock’s shoulders, and nailed a German Suplex, but held onto the waist lock. Angle then rolled over, keeping the waist lock applied, before making his way back to a vertical base and nailing another German Suplex, followed by another 3, making it five rolling German Suplexes to the back and neck of Lesnar! Angle then got up, and let out an almighty roar, signalling it was the end! The crowd roared in approval for their American Hero, as the Olympic Gold Medallist pulled down the arm straps on his attire, which very often means he would be going for the Ankle Lock! Angle then went towards the ankle of the prone Lesnar, but Brock sensed the champ coming and kicked him off towards the turnbuckles. Lesnar then charged at him looking for a charging shoulder tackle, only for Angle to move and Lesnar to hit the metal ring post, and then Lesnar stumbled back into another Angle Slam from Angle, and Kurt then straight away dragged him into the centre of the ring and locked Brock in the Ankle Lock! Brock screamed in pain, desperately attempting to save his chances at once again becoming the champ by getting to the ropes, which would be his only saviour. Brock crawled towards the ropes gradually, and after a minute in the deadly hold, it looked like he would be saved by the ropes, only for Angle to know what was coming as he then pulled Brock back into the centre of the ring, and to now ensure victory, Angle grapevine the leg! Lesnar was stuck in the middle of the ring in immense pain!! Brock couldn’t hold on any more, as Brock had no choice but to tap out! After the match, Angle was handed the title with one hand above his head, with the other hand holding the injured ribs.

Wrestlemania Main Event
World Heavyweight Championship
Former Partners Collide
2005 Royal Rumble Winner ‘HBK’ Shawn Michaels vs. World Heavyweight Champion “The Game” Triple H

The highly anticipated main event finally came, after weeks and weeks of bickering and brawls, and with more than 10 years of history between the two highly talented men. The first 3 minutes was full of one up man ship, which is what they have been doing since Michaels won the Rumble. Many hammer locks were used, until there was finally an opening for Michaels, as HHH headed to the ropes when Shawn locked in his 5th arm lock. When he was forced to break the hold, HBK took a leaf out of HHH’s mentor Ric Flair’s book, delivering knife edge chops to the chest of his on and off friend and rival. HHH then headed to the corner, where HBK continued to chop, punch and kick away at the trapped HHH. The ball was in HBK’s court for the next 5 minutes, as he delivered various suplexes and aerial attacks to HHH, until one of his high risk manoeuvres proved very costly, as HHH managed to move away from an attempted Moonsault off the ropes to a standing HHH on the outside (exactly like HBK vs. Flair at Mania 24 IRL). HHH then worked on the legs of HBK, using submission moves such as the Indian Death Lock and the Figure Four Leg Lock to hurt HBK. HHH then whipped HBK off the ropes and nailed a signature Arn Anderson Spinebuster, crushing the ribs of HBK! When HHH went for the cover, however, Michaels managed to kick out, much to the frustration of HHH. HHH signalled for the end when he got up, and walked over to HBK, only for Shawn Michaels to nail him with a SWEET CHIN MUSIC! The crowd let out a thunderous ovation, as there is a new champion! 1...2...HHH somehow kicks out, as the fans are absolutely shocked! HBK gets up, wondering what he has to do, so he then goes to the corner, and begins to tune up the band! When Hunter gets up, HBK charges, but HHH ducks under, then spins Shawn around (as he was behind him), kicks him in the gut and nails the Pedigree! It looked like the two World Titles would be retained, but much like HHH did after HBK connected with his finisher the SCM, Shawn managed to somehow prevent the World Champion from victory as he found himself in a perfect position, under the ropes! HHH couldn’t believe his luck, and he lifted up HBK again and put him between his legs and applied the double underhook, looking for the Pedigree once again! Shawn predicted this move would come, however, and nailed a HHH with an Atomic Drop, followed by a body slam. HBK headed up top once again, although it looked like he would fall after his leg was still hurting him. He managed to steady himself, but it took too long as Hunter had recovered by then and climbed up to the second rope, where the two traded blow after blow, until HHH managed to duck under an attempted punch from Shawn, and locked him in the underhook, looking for a Super Pedigree from off the top rope! HHH then wasted no time and leapt off, but HBK was holding onto the ropes, so when HHH went off, he smashed his unprotected knees straight into the unforgiving canvas! HHH rolled around in the centre of the ring in pain, and HBK then leapt off and nailed him with a signature Flying Elbow Drop! HBK then tuned up the band one more time, and when a hurt HHH got up, he walked straight into a picture perfect Sweet Chin Music!! HBK is the new World Heavyweight Champion! HBK then had tears of joy in eyes, as he jumped into the crowd with HHH’s old World Heavyweight Championship belt. HHH was still laid out in the ring, as HBK hugged the fans, as he then made his way up to the top of the Wrestlemania 21 ramp, where he did his signature kneeling pose with the World Title wrapped around his shoulders, as pyro went off, with the vision of HBK still there with the title belt as Wrestlemania 21 came to an extraordinary close.

This looks to be pretty good. I'm not much of a fan of recap writing but you seem to be pretty good at it. You had some very interesting results up there and I'm going to be checking out your show. Everything looks real good, now let's see if you can deliver with your first show.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Keep them coming! I have decided to go ahead and post the Raw Preview right now. As mentioned in the first post, all of my weekly shows will be in recap, and PPV’s will be in full.

Raw Preview
Raw emanates this week from the site of a history making Wrestlemania 21, Los Angeles, California. And just like last night, Raw is sure to be a classic!

Raw has crowned a new World Heavyweight Champion, and he goes by the name of Shawn Michaels. After the second Sweet Chin Music of the match by Shawn, Michaels managed to pick up the victory over long time friend, foe and former World Heavyweight Champion HHH. Tonight on Raw, HBK will open up the show and talk about his win last night. What will HBK say? You can expect Evolution to show up, also.

Speaking of Evolution, last night, the World Tag Team Champions Ric Flair and Batista managed to retain their Tag Titles against The Rock and Randy Orton, although under dubious circumstances. When the legal man Randy Orton attempted an RKO off the apron to the other legal man Ric Flair, Batista held on to his mentor, causing Randy to crash through the announce table. Randy was unfortunately seriously injured and will be out indefinitely. The illegal man Batista then pinned Randy’s partner the Rock to retain the titles. What will happen tonight? Will we get an update on Orton?

In what was one of the most incredible matches seen, Chris Jericho managed to win the Money in the Bank Ladder match, after all of the other men were knocked out. Jericho accidentally hurt his friend John Cena in that match, after he was pushed into a ladder and Cena took a sickening bump. Tonight, Jericho will look to add more titles to his name, when he clashes with Shelton Benjamin for the Intercontinental Championship. Will Y2J make it two wins in two nights?

In another brutal match last night, Edge managed to defeat his brother Christian after an astonishing Spear off a ladder through a flaming table! Neither of those men will be at Raw, but we will hear from Edge via satellite. Also on Raw, another title match will take place with a Triple Threat match for the Women’s Title. Trish Stratus will defend her title against the newly formed alliance of Victoria and Lita. Will Trish’s reign of dominance of the Women’s Division be stopped?

I loved this. I'm usually not a fan of the recap style writing, but this worked out really good. Realistic booking, great feuds, and the best use of the recap that I have ever seen.

Monday Night Raw

Raw starts off with JR and The King doing their usual stuff, as well as going over Mania last night. When they have finished ‘Sexy Boy’ hits to a big ovation, as the NEW World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Michaels makes his way down to the ring, with a big smile etched across his face. HBK then does his usual entrance, before making his way to the ring and getting a mic from Howard Finkel. HBK then looked around, soaking in the ovation from the crowd. HBK gets on the mic and says Thank You to the fans, thanks for the support and thanks for everything. He said there were a lot of doubters, but he proved them wrong last night when he defeated HHH. At that moment, 'Evolution' hit to big heat, as HHH, Ric Flair and Batista make their way down to the ring. HHH said it was all a fluke, and that he would get his title back, whenever he feels like it. All of a sudden, the World Tag Team Champs attack HBK, as HHH then joins in, until the jeers turn to cheers as The Rock comes charging down, making the save, until the numbers prevail. As soon as Evolution got the advantage, Eric Bischoff came out and said stop it right now, or else they would be fired! Evolution stopped immediately, as the GM says that he has a message from Vince McMahon, regarding Backlash. Bischoff says that Shawn’s first title defence will be against HHH! The crowd give heat, but Bischoff isn’t done, as HBK will also defend against Ric Flair, Batista, The Rock and one more mystery opponent in the ELIMINATION CHAMBER! The crowd give an immense pop, with chants of ‘Thank You Vince!’ HBK looks shocked; as Eric goes on to say that he has signed the main event for tonight. It will be Evolution taking on HBK, The Rock and the mystery opponent! Bischoff leaves, as all 5 men stare each other down.

Women's Title Triple Threat Match
Trish Stratus (c) vs. Lita vs. Victoria

In the first match of the night, Trish Stratus defended her title against Lita and Victoria. Lita and Victoria worked together for the whole match, until a suicide dive through the middle rope from Lita went wrong, so the match turned into basically a one on one match between Victoria and Trish. Victoria attempted a Widow’s Peak 6 minutes into the match, only for Trish to float over the top, get Victoria in a Bulldog position and nail a beautiful Stratusfaction! Trish then turned around, and was nailed with a kick to the gut by Lita, who had now recovered! Lita then nailed the Women’s Champ with a Twist of Fate, and then she headed up top, and nailed her with the Moonsault! NEW WOMEN’S CHAMPION! 1...2...3! Lita wins! The crowd go apeshit for the very surprising title change, as Lita gets the title belt and climbs up onto the top rope, holding up the title in the air. Victoria then gets up, recovering from the Stratusfaction, and she saw Lita ecstatic, still holding up the belt. Victoria looked like she would snap, until she pulled Lita down and gave her a hug, before holding up her hand, as the 2 friends celebrated the incredible win.

Evolution is shown in Bischoff’s locker room, and they ask him what is up, for how he reacted out there, and how they thought he was on their side. Eric then reveals to Evolution that the reason he is like that is because Vince McMahon threatened to fire him if he was biased! The crowd let out an almighty pop at the mention of Vince, as Bischoff then goes to say that Vince will be arriving any minute, to judge his performance for tonight! Evolution is shocked at how sober their boss and Number 1 fan is, and they are also extremely angry that there reign of dominance on Ra may finish due to Bischoff being practically controlled now by McMahon. Evolution then suck up to Bischoff, before they ask Bischoff something that everyone has been wondering about all night after the opening announcements. They ask if they can know who the mystery opponent is, as a devious smile comes across the face of Eric. After Bischoff tells them it may be the biggest Raw signing in history, he is about to tell them until none other than VINCE MCMAHON comes walking in, asking what’s going on. Bischoff then says they are just leaving, as HHH bumps into Vince on the way out. Vince asks Bischoff what that was about, as Bischoff looks scared to death!

We now go back to JR and The King, who move on from the McMahon/ Bischoff incident, and start talking about last night brutal Hardcore Match. We are shown various black & white photos of the Hardcore match, including a bag of thumbtacks being smashed over Edge’s head, Tomko being smashed with a barbed wire steel chair over the head, Christian setting the table on fire and the Spear off the ladder through that very table from Edge to Christian being shown. JR and The King then repeat what was said in the Preview that neither man will be present at Raw, but they would be hearing from Edge right now! They welcome Edge, who is back in his home in Canada, who is showered from the fans with an incredible ovation following his great performance in the Hardcore match. We can see the stitches on Edge’s head, as he thanks JR and The King for the introduction. JR asks what it was like getting redemption on his brother for costing him the Wrestlemania main event, as Edge says that revenge was sweet, and that he thinks he has had enough of his brother. JR then asks Edge where to next, as he says that he will go for what he was going for before he went for Christian, and that was the World Heavyweight Championship!

Matt Hardy vs. Johnny Nitro
The next match was a great match between 2 up and coming superstars, Matt Hardy and Johnny Nitro. It was obvious that Matt had competed last night and Nitro hadn’t, as Matt was moving around very gingerly which lead to Nitro ending up dominating the tag team specialist. Nitro had a completely different move set, using moves such as a Springboard Enziguiri and a Standing Shooting Star Press. The match went for longer than 15 minutes, as Hardy began to gain momentum midway through the match, after dodging a Superkick attempt and nailed a Side Effect, quickly followed by a diving clothesline once Nitro had gotten up. Matt attempted a Twist of Fate after a very impressive leg drop from off the top rope, but Nitro managed to spin out of it and nail a beautiful Hangman’s Neckbreaker! Nitro smirked, before nailing a very unique Break-dance Leg Drop, a move never seen before! Nitro smirked, attempting to nail the Standing Star Press again, and it did! Nitro then waited for him to get up, then going for a Superkick, but Hardy ducked under the attempted kick and got him in a backslide cover for the victory! Nitro was absolutely livid as the crowd went wild, as Nitro went on the outside and grabbed steel chair?! As Hardy was on the top rope celebrating, Nitro smashed the steel chair into the back of Hardy, before ambushing the injured sternum of Hardy with the chair, driving it down into his midsection! Nitro then lifted him up, and nailed a Swinging DDT onto the chair, busting Hardy wide open! Nitro then looked at Hardy, absolute no remorse on his face whatsoever, as he just walked to the back, seething from the mouth.

After the break, when we are about to head to Raw’s second hour, with there being a Wrestlemania 21 highlight package. JR and The King once again talk about how the night was massive with the incredible Money in the Bank Ladder, the Hardcore Match, SCSA vs. Hassan, the classic World Heavyweight Title Match and the World Tag Team Title match was interestingly brought up last. It was revealed straight after why it was talked about last, and that was because of Randy’s death defying stunt of trying to RKO Ric Flair off the apron through the announce table not paying off, and with him suffering a very serious injury from going through the table. They give us an update on Orton, that he has suffered a crack in his vertebrae as well as various broken and fractured ribs. They say that Randy is in a hospital in his home town of St Louis, Missouri, and will not be unfortunately seen on Raw for at least a minimum of 4 months. The announcers acknowledge Randy’s courage and determination in wanting to return to Raw, as many Superstars who suffer such injuries as severe as Orton’s would retire, but that’s not the case with the very determined ‘Legend Killer’. They hype once more the two huge matches still to come, with the Intercontinental Title match between the champion Shelton Benjamin and the new Mr. Money in the Bank Chris Jericho and the 6 man tag team match pitting Evolution vs. The Rock, the new World Champion HBK and the mystery competitor for the Elimination Chamber. They have no idea who the man could be, as Bischoff says it is a new signing. Speaking about Bischoff, his verdict will take place right after the main event, to see whether he will continue to rule Raw.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Shelton Benjamin (C) vs. “Mr. Money in the Bank†Chris Jericho

This was another MOTN candidate, with both men who competed in last night’s Money in the Bank Ladder match leading to them having great chemistry, but they have also competed in a Taboo Tuesday match where Shelton defeated Jericho for the IC Title, and Jericho hasn’t cashed in his rematch clause, making this sort of a rematch. The match was a very long one, also, going for a bit over 20 minutes, with the match getting great crowd reactions all the way out through the match. Jericho had hit a Lionsault, but he made a mistake by not going for the pin but instead he went for a Walls of Jericho, which Benjamin managed to reverse by pushing him with his feet to Jericho’s chest, causing Jericho to go through the middle rope. Shelton followed this up by a brilliant senton over the top rope! Shelton is then in control 18 minutes into the match, 5 minutes after the Jericho mistake. Shelton then attempted to finish off Jericho with a T-Bone Suplex, but Jericho managed to elbow out, but when he went for a kick to the gut, Benjamin held on! Chris then went for a signature Step Up Enziguiri, but Benjamin ducked that and Jericho hit the referee with the kick to the jaw. Both men can’t believe it, as Benjamin is just staring at the unconscious referee, as Jericho takes advantage as he bounces off the ropes and nails him with a one handed bulldog! All of a sudden, the crowd let out a big reaction as JOHN CENA comes running through the crowd, and nails Jericho with the F-U! The crowd let out a thunderous mixed reaction for Cena, before turning to all round boos, as Cena says ‘You Can’t See Me’, before running through the crowd once again! Benjamin drapes an arm over Y2J, as the ref revives and counts, so Benjamin retains. The camera cuts back to the crowd, where Cena has a smirk on his face, with Jericho stirring as the crowd give big heat towards Cena.

We come back from the break with Bischoff’s assistant Johnny Nitro in the backstage area, still angry from his earlier sudden loss against Matt Hardy. Nitro delivers some very harsh words to Hardy, calling him a washed up loser, saying that he had a glimpse of the future earlier tonight. Nitro then said that Matt was useless without the help of his brother Jeff, who was on Smackdown, and Nitro takes it upon himself to add a match to Backlash, because he is Bischoff’s assistant, and he gets to do what he wants, when he wants. And what Johnny wants is a rematch with Hardy at Backlash, but this time, it will be where steel chairs are legal, in a NO HOLDS BARRED MATCH!

We cut back to the announcers, who are shocked at the change of attitude from Nitro. JR is then about to say that they now have two matches set for the next Raw PPV, but he is cut short by the King, who has a ground breaking announcement for Backlash, with Eric making another match for Backlash. King says that at Backlash, an inter brand match would take place, in relation to the events that just occurred before Nitro’s promo between Chris Jericho and John Cena, as Eric was very angry about a Smackdown superstar turning up, going straight through security.. But that wasn’t all for the match, as there was a stipulation for the match, and that was that the Money in the Bank briefcase! Three matches have now been announced for Backlash, and it is shaping up to be a huge PPV, as well as tonight’s Raw, and we still have the main event and Bischoff’s verdict still to come!

6 Man Tag Team Main Event
Evolution (HHH, Ric Flair, Batista) vs. WHC HBK, The Rock and???

Everyone was waiting for the mystery man to come, but nothing happened, as Bischoff came out with a smirk on his face, saying that he was “running lateâ€, and that the match would start right now as a three on two handicap match, and now the match was a tornado match! The crowd give immense heat at Bischoff, as he just shrugs and says sorry very sarcastically. The crowd are extremely disappointed for 2 reasons, one because he has just screwed 2 of their favourites, and two because the mystery man which have they been wanting to see since the start of the show wasn’t here yet! HBK and The Rock are taken off guard, as they are ambushed by a very happy Evolution. The dominant stable, well, dominated the early going, as when one man started to start making a comeback, a two on one attack would follow. A breakthrough finally came through after Flair was hit with a Sweet Chin Music was hit by HBK after he was busy taunting him, making it an even playing field for the time being. Batista then started beating HBK up after Flair had then rolled out of the ring in pain, but as HHH was setting up for a Pedigree to the Rock; the crowd favourite back dropped him over the ropes, straight back onto Flair. Rock then goes to help out Michaels, as Rock and Batista begin brawling, with Tista getting the upper hand, as HBK flies through the middle rope and straight onto the 2 other Evolution members! As Batista is setting up for the Batista Bomb on The Rock, going to deliver the finishing blow after the suicide dive by Michaels onto HHH and Flair 1 minute earlier, GOLDBERG comes running in and nails The Animal with a Spear! GOLDBERG IS THE MYSTERY MAN! Goldberg then pins Batista, as the referee counts to three! After the match, all 3 men on the outside have recovered, but as Flair runs in to hit Goldberg, he is met with a SCM for the 2nd time from HBK! HHH is then hit with a Rock Bottom, as Goldberg, Rocky and Shawn all stare each other down after the match, with HBK lifting up his title!

When we come back from the last commercial, ‘No Chance’ plays to a monstrous ovation, as the Chairman Vince McMahon comes walking out doing his famous walk, slapping hands with the fans, as Bischoff is already in the ring, looking extremely nervous. Vince asks why he thinks Bischoff should stay as GM as Bischoff comes up with the invention of the Elimination Chamber, making Evolution stars, bringing Goldberg back just 5 minutes ago and his previous success with WCW among others, but as soon as he says the success of WCW, it seems to strike a nerve with McMahon, due to him remembering those 88 dismal weeks of WCW winning the rating wars. Vince then says that NO-ONE who is a General Manager should be biased, and that WCW was finished, saying that he created a failure. Bischoff tries to suck up to Vince, saying that he would stop favouring Evolution, and that he was right that WCW was a failure, but if Vince could give him one more chance, and that he was sure that he would make Vince proud, he guaran-damn-teed it, as Vince screamed at Bischoff for using his phrase, and that Bischoff already had his chance, he had his chance for 3 and a half years. Bischoff is then met with another famous phrase of Vince’s, Eric Bischoff, YOU’RE FIRED!!!!!!! The crowd let out an almighty roar, as Evolution are shown in the back absolutely pissed off, but all of the rest Raw Roster are ecstatic! Bischoff starts crying, as the crowd start the Na Na Na Na chants, as Bischoff is escorted out by security, never being GM of Raw again!

It would be great to get some reviews on Raw, even though I know many people here on IWF don't really like the recap style, just that I don't have the time with exams coming up. I will post the Smackdown preview now.

Smackdown Preview

Tonight Smackdown emanates from Omaha, Nebraska, and what a night it will be, with the first Smackdown after Wrestlemania 21!

At Wrestlemania, Kurt Angle managed to defeat long tie foe Brok Lesnar for the WWE Championship after locking in the Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring after a classic 20 minute Wrestlemania main event. On the other side of things, JBL failed in attempting to finish Undertaker's defeated streak to Wrestlemania after falling victim to a Tombstone Piledriver. On Smackdown, the two former fierce foes will battle it out in a non title match in the main event. If JBL manages to defeat Angle, this will surely make John the Number 1 Contedner for the WWE Title. Will JBL be able to turn around last nights loss by a huge win over the champ, or will Angle continue on the roll he has been on as of late?

Also on Sunday night, member of the Cabinet the Big Show managed to defeat Undertaker's brother Kane after interference fromt the other Cabinet members, as the Bashams distracted the ref while Orlando hit Kane with a lead pipe, followed by a devastating Showstopper Chokeslam. On Smackdown, there will be a Handicap No Holds Barred match between the Big Show and Orlando facing off against Kane. Will the numbers prevail. Also, the Bashams will once again attempt to win the tag team titles, as they face off against 1/3 of the Money in the Bank ladder match, the tag champs RVD and Rey Mysterio. This is easily the brothers best chance at tag gold, as the champs will still be feeling the effects of the brutal ladder match. What will happen in this huge match?

The other competitor from SD! in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match has had his hands full on Raw with the eventual winner of the match, Chris Jericho. After Cena thought Jericho had turned on Cena after making him fall all the way off the top of the ladder, Cena completely turned on Jericho and the fans by costing Y2J the Intercontinental Title on Raw, and now John finds himself on the Backlash card, facing Jericho for the briefcase at Backlash. Speaking of interbrand feuds, Eddie Guerrero defied the odds after he defeated long time friend and foe Chris Benoit in a classic US Title match. Will we hear from Eddie? Also, Jeff Hardy defied the odds once again as the death defying superstar managed to hold onto his CW Title in a Triple Threat match which also involved Carlito and Funaki. Lastly, Teddy Long has revealed that there will be a ground breaking announcement on Smackdown, and that it will change Smackdown and television forever. What does this exactly mean? To find out the answers to all of these questions, you have to tune into SD! this Thursday night!

Okay, so when I posted the preview, I was half way through the show, after working on the show for half an hour, I managed to get to the half way point. Before I started today, I was up to the tag title match, and somehow I managed to finish more than half of the show within an hour. Hopefully I get some comments for Smackdown, as I would like you to review either this or Raw, doesn’t worry me. Thanks Foolish Pleasure mate for the review.

Billy Kidman vs. John Cena
We open the edition of Smackdown with Cena making his way out to the ring to big boos, after his very recent heel turn on Raw on Monday. Smackdown cruiserweight and Cena’s old partner Billy Kidman is in the ring, ready for this opening one on one contest. Cena attacks Billy from the get go, hitting him with rights and lefts, before hitting him with a Lou Thesz Press, before hitting him with even more punches. Cena dominated the whole first 5 minutes of the match, before looking to finish the match off, hitting the Spin Out Powerbomb, which is normally the signal for a 5 Knuckle Shuffle, but when he is about to bounce off the ropes and nail the fist drop, ‘Break the Walls Down’ hits to a huge ovation, as Cena looks around and sees Jericho standing there with his briefcase, smirking at Cena. The 2 former friends share a war of words, as Jericho holds up his briefcase, and while Cena is still distracted, Kidman gets up and nails the Kid Krusher! Billy pulls off the shocking upset! Kidman goes on every rope raising his arms and playing to the crowd, as Jericho seems happy with himself, and goes back to the back. Cena gets up, seeming extremely frustrated, before seeing Kidman still celebrating, as John quickly goes towards him, turns him around, and nails the FU! Cena then has a demonic look in his eye, and locks in an STF hold on Billy! Cena begins screaming for Jericho, but he is no-where to be seen, as Cena leaves the hold on, as Billy is bleeding from the mouth, as officials come out and demand Cena to stop.

*Commercial*

We come back and Jericho is walking backstage, as Jericho sees a crowd of cruiserweights huddled in a bunch, looking at something nearby. The Raw superstar goes to see what is going on, and he sees Kidman on a stretcher, unconscious and in a neck brace. Jericho asks what happens, and the Cruiserweight Champion Jeff Hardy says that Cena did this. Y2J goes on a rampage, searching frantically for Cena for what he did to Jericho’s old friend from WCW. We cut back to the announcers, who talk about the mental snap of Cena in the past couple of days, and how after the Money in the Bank loss at Wrestlemania, he has been in a completely different state, not talking to anyone in the locker room, and trying to destroy his former partner Kidman. They plug the inter-brand match for Backlash for the briefcase, as we cut to another Wrestlemania highlights package, exactly the same to the three videos that were shown on Raw. The announcers then hype later tonight with the main event just been set, with the leader of the Cabinet JBL facing off against the man who retained his title last night, Kurt Angle, in a non title contest. The match is dubbed as the “Rivalry Reborn”. They hype the huge announcement from Teddy Long that will take place later tonight.

We then go to the Raw Rebound, with it starting off with HBK defeating HHH at Mania, Evolution beating down HBK and the Rock and then the opening announcement on Raw with the Elimination Chamber with the mystery man being revealed on that night’s edition. We then cut to where Vince McMahon is in Bischoff’s locker room, saying he would be given his verdict tonight, after kicking Evolution out as they tried to find out who the mystery man was. We go to the main event where Bischoff says the man hasn’t arrived yet with a big old smirk, as he makes it a 3 on 2 Handicap match. When HBK, Flair and HHH are out and it looks like Batista will finish it off with a Powerbomb, none other than Goldberg hits the ring and Spears Tista, revealing himself as the mystery man. They show the faces take out the heels, and HBK then raising his title. They then show the verdict, with Bischoff trying to suck up to Vince, only to be FIRED!

WWE Tag Team Championships
The Bashams vs. RVD and Rey Mysterio (c)

We come back from the break with the WWE Tag Champs RVD and Rey Mysterio in action, defending their titles against The Bashams for what is hopefully the last time. This was a lot better than other affairs, which is very surprising as RVD and Mysterio competed in the MITB match. RVD took a sick bump, as when he attempted to finish off the match with a Split Legged Moonsault, Danny stuck his legs up, but unfortunately Danny wasn’t in the right position, and the legs smashed the face of RVD! Rob was then legitimately busted open, and was knocked out for a fair bit of time. This enabled Danny to get a tag to Doug, who didn’t realise that RVD was in real pain, and he applied a front face lock, before delivering a planting DDT, smashing Van Dam’s face into the canvas. Doug and Danny then worked on RVD all the way throughout, but RVD finally got what he wanted after 5 minutes of being dominated, a tag to Mysterio. When the Bashams went for a double suplex, RVD managed to keep on his feet after the attempted suplex, and then nailed the brothers with a double neckbreaker! RVD crawled and managed to get the hot tag to Mysterio, who exploded with his speedy techniques, and then made it a one on one contest between Doug and Mysterio after Mysterio caused Doug to accidentally clothesline his partner over the top rope! Doug then attempted a Sit-Out Spinebuster, but Mysterio slid over the top of Basham, and when the challenger charged, Mysterio gave Doug a drop toe hold in between the 2nd and top rope. When it looked like Danny would intervene, RVD came out of nowhere and somersaulted over the ring apron, risking himself as Mysterio then nails the 619!! Mysterio then looks around at the crowd, as he then bounces off the top rope and in one breathtaking fluid motion; Rey nails the West Coast Pop!! Rey then hooks the left leg of Doug, and It’s Academic! Rey and Rob are still Tag Team Champions! RVD then makes his way to the ring, as the two pose with their titles.

We go backstage where we see Teddy Long on the phone in his office, saying that it would shock the world, and change TV forever. Teddy then tells the person on the phone they would have to wait and see, and as soon as he hangs up, the phone rings once again, as Teddy lets out a sigh and answers, as Teddy seems happy about the announcement from the person on the other phone. Teddy then hangs up from that call as well, and he straightens up his tie, ready for the big announcement that he said will change television forever. We then go to another commercial break, as Michael Cole and Tazz hype that Teddy Long’s announcement is NEXT!

*Commercial*

We come back from the commercial as Long’s music hits, and then starts to make his way down to the ring to a very big ovation, as all of the crowd want to hear Teddy’s big announcement that will change Smackdown and television forever. Teddy then gets in the ring and gives everyone a ‘Holla!’ It was notable when Teddy was making his entrance that he was carrying a black bag with strings on top, as the crowd looked on in anticipation as they know that that bag is normally used for a title! Teddy then said that he lied, and that there wasn’t an announcement, as the crowd begin to give heat, but Teddy goes on to say that there is 2 announcements! The crowd do a complete 180 and go wild, as Teddy says that the first announcement was that Smackdown as of the Smackdown edition after Judgement Day, SD! would change to Friday nights, and it was going live! The crowd let out an almighty roar for this announcement; as Teddy goes on to say that they may have noticed that he had a black bag with him. Teddy then pulls out a title, recognizable from a couple of years ago. Teddy says that he has tried very hard for weeks and weeks to get this to happen, and that the TV Title would return and would be exclusive to Smackdown, and that it would return next week! The crowd let out easily the biggest pop of the night, as they go ballistic as they hear the TV Title has been re-instated. As Teddy is about to leave, uncommon music in the WWE is heard, called “Get Back” by Ludacris. A man seen in the independent promotion FIP walks out with lots of bling, as Teddy smirks. The man introduces himself as Antonio Banks, and as a personal friend of Teddy’s. Teddy then announces that they are looking at one competitor for the TV Title match next week, as the crowd let out a pop as they will see the new man compete in the TV Title match next week. Banks then shakes the GM’s hand, as the two friends leave together.

NO DQ Handicap Match
The Big Show and Orlando Jordan vs. Kane

When we come back, The Big Show’s music hit to big heat as he and Orlando Jordan make their way out for the No DQ Handicap Match. Kane’s music then hits to a big ovation as the fire explodes, but nothing happens. It stops and then plays again, but no-one comes out. All of a sudden, the MASKED Kane comes bursting out of the hole underneath the ring, steel chair in hand, as the crowd go apeshit at the return of the old Kane!! Kane then smashes Orlando in the face with the chair, before nailing Big Show with a shot to the face as well, and starts ambushing him with the chair, slamming it down in his ribs. Various weapons were used throughout the match, and in the end, a table came into play, which would ultimately end the match. As Show and Jordan took charge, Jordan was ordered by Show to get a table, but when Jordan left the ring, Kane began making a comeback, getting the dented chair and knocking it over Big Show’s head! Orlando then slid the table in the ring and charged over to Kane, but was met with a Big Boot to the head! Kane then dominated the match throughout, mainly smashing Jordan around, because as soon as Big Show got up, he was knocked down by Kane, who was obviously on a mission to redeem himself for last night. Kane then looked at the table which Orlando had set up in the corner, as we see a smirk come through his mask, as he the Chokeslams Jordan through Jordan’s own table! Kane then left the ring after getting the easy 3 count. Big Show then got up and went to go over to the unconscious Jordan in the corner, but when it looked like he would help him up, he just walked away, shaking his head.

Before we go to another commercial break, we are shown JBL in his locker room, watching on, looking a little nervous about his upcoming match. The announcers then say that it was obvious was watching his fellow Cabinet members tonight, and how they have all been unsuccessful, and if this is a sign of things to come. They then talk about Mania 4 nights ago once more, and how JBL lost his match whereas Angle won his match against Lesnar. They say that the match will take place later tonight, but next is a message from Eddie Guerrero, talking about the condition of his nephew Chavo and his match with Benoit at the 21st annual Wrestlemania, which Eddie of course walked away as the victor and still with possession of the United States Title.

*Commercial*

We return from the break with Tazz in the middle of the ring, as he then introduces a man who needs no introduction, the man who walked out victorious last night in a classic match and the United States Champion, Eddie Guerrero! The crowd give Guerrero (who is in his home in El Paso, Texas) a great response, as he nods to Tazz, who then asks Eddie how it felt to finally get his revenge on Benoit for what he did to Chavo. Guerrero then said it felt great to get revenge on Benoit for what he did to Chavo on the edition of Smackdown. Eddie said that he knew Benoit wasn’t in his right state at the Royal Rumble, and he saw how he reacted was not Benoit like. Eddie then revealed that Benoit had said an unlimited amount of sorries, and how Benoit had said sorry to Eddie at Mania, backstage, on the phone, and how Benoit had completely changed. He said Benoit was constantly visiting Chavo in his hospital, and that Chavo knew also that Benoit wasn’t in the right state of mind. Tazz then asked Eddie when we could expect Chavo and Eddie to return to Smackdown, and Eddie said that he had great news on that part as well. Eddie then said that Chavo was very unlucky not to be at Smackdown tonight, but Los Guerreros would be back, better than ever, NEXT WEEK! Tazz then thanks Eddie for his time, and Tazz then makes his way back to the announce table. The announcers then hype next week and how it will be a hell of a show, talking about the returns of Los Guerreros and as mentioned earlier, the TV Title! Cole then says that the best for tonight is still to come, with the Rivalry Reborn! JBL vs. Kurt Angle is NEXT!

*Commercial*
Non Title Contest
"The Rivalry Reborn"
JBL vs. WWE Champ Kurt Angle

We are welcomed back from the last commercial break with JBL made his entrance to big heat in his limo, before Texas Two Stepping all the way down to the ring, bad mouthing fans along his way before letting out his million dollar smirk. ‘Medal’ then hits to one of the loudest pops of the night, as the WWE Champion Kurt Angle makes his way out to the ring, pointing at JBL when the crowd chanted “You Suck!” The two men put on a clinic with the time they had, as Smackdown had only ten minutes of broadcast left when the match started off. The two had a battle of one up man ship, with neither veteran getting the advantage in the first 3 minutes of the match. JBL then finally managed to get one over Angle, delivering a Powerslam as Angle bounced off the ropes, attempting a should tackle. JBL then laughed and did the belt signal around his waist, as he then controlled the next 4 minutes of the match, but Angle managed to get the advantage on Bradshaw as when JBL started laughing once again, Angle snuck behind JBL and nailed a German Suplex, followed by another two, knocking out both men. It looked like Angle would walk out the victor in this match, as he pulled down the arm straps of his red, white and blue wrestling attire, and then looked for an Angle Slam, only for the crowd to erupt in boos as Brock Lesnar came running down the ramp, before pummelling Kurt with right and left hands. The two heels then dominated Angle, as the crowd cried for someone to help him out, and their begs were answered when the lights went out in the arena, and when they came on, the Undertaker was in the ring, looking straight at Bradshaw, before doing the cut throat signal. Taker then tried to fend off both Lesnar and Layfield, and he looked like he would get beaten down like Angle did, only for Kurt to have recovered in this time, get a steel chair and chase the heels away. Taker then sat up and got to his feet, before looking at Angle and then at his championship belt, before the two icons went face to face, as Lesnar and JBL looked on, as the two faces in the ring turned to face the heels, as each did their signature pose to close the show.

Oops, forgot about the Raw Preview. O well, hopefully I will be forgiven lmao.

Monday Night Raw

Raw starts this week with Evolution coming down to the ring. Evolution express their disappointment on the firing of Eric Bischoff, saying that he was the best Raw GM in Raw history, and how Vince McMahon made the worst decision of his life, which got big heat from the crowd with Evolution questioning McMahon. Evolution then talks about the re-debut of Goldberg last week, which gets a big pop from the crowd. HHH then says that at Backlash, he would reclaim his World Title back, with facing the two washed up losers, and then they had HBK three on one. Ric nods behind Triple H, saying that he was by his side, and Batista nodded also, but when HHH turned around, he shook his head, continuing his tease of abandoning Evolution. As the trio are about to leave the ring, Vince McMahon’s music hits to a big ovation, saying to Evolution to stop right there damn it! Vince then said that no-one disrespects Vince McMahon, and that the firing of Eric Bischoff was for the good of the company, also saying that he (Vince) has never made a mistake in his life! Vince then says that all of Evolution would be punished for disrespecting the new INTERIM GM, which gets an almighty pop from the crowd for two reasons, then being Evolution are going to be punished, and that Vince is the new Interim GM! Evolution goes ballistic at these announcements; as Vince goes on to say that Ric Flair and Batista would defend their tag team titles in a Triple Threat Tag Team match, which also involves La Resistance and Raw’s newest superstars, former Smackdown tag team Paul London and Brian Kendrick (who is making his return), getting a great pop from the hot crowd! Ric Flair has to hold Batista back from pummelling Vince, as Vince then announces the main event. Vince then says last week, Bischoff actually did something good in getting back Goldberg, and he also talks about just before when Evolution were expressing their disappointment about Goldberg’s return. HHH then asks where Vince is getting at, as Vince reveals that tonight’s main event would be Goldberg vs. HHH and that if any competitors from Backlash’s Elimination Chamber interfered in the match, they would be just like Eric Bischoff as of the last week, and that is FIRED! Vince then leaves to an almighty pop, as Evolution is absolutely furious in the ring.

Edge vs. Muhammad Hassan
We come back from the first break, and it is revealed that it is also Edge’s return, where Edge gets a great pop from the crowd with his return. There was another return in this match, with Muhammad Hassan returning after his huge win over legend Stone Cold Steve Austin at Wrestlemania 21. This match was a great opening match, going for a good 10 minutes. Hassan dominated the early going, damaging the neck and upper back of Edge, much like he did to Austin in their match. Hassan went for a suplex to Edge over the top rope, but Edge managed to land on the apron. Hassan then attempted a clothesline off the apron, but Edge nailed a shoulder to the gut, before quickly making his way to the top rope. Edge then leapt off, going for a Diving Spear, but Hassan caught Edge with a boot to the face while in mid air! Hassan then looked liked hitting the Downward Spiral, but Edge managed to elbow out, and nailed the Edgecution out of nowhere! Edge then climbed over for the cover and hooked the leg, but it wasn’t enough!! Edge was shocked but then went back into the corner, looking for a Spear once again, albeit this time it isn’t off the top rope. Edge then charges at Hassan, but Hassan moved out of the way and Edge hit the ring post! Edge then collapsed to the mat, as Hassan dragged Edge to the middle of the ring, looking for the Camel Clutch to finish the match off. Hassan managed to get the arms of Edge, but before he could wretch Edge’s neck backwards, Edge slid through the legs of Hassan and then got the unsuspecting Hassan into a School Boy Roll up for the 3 count. Edge wins his return match!

*Commercial*

We return from the break with Johnny Nitro in Vince McMahon’s office, rubbing his chin. After 15 seconds of silence, Johnny finally asks what he has done, saying that Johnny is no longer needed as the assistant of the General Manager. Vince goes on to say that he hired Nitro to be a wrestler, and that is exactly what he is going to be. Before Nitro can say anything back, Vince then says that the match with Hardy at Backlash is still on, although Nitro didn’t even console the GM for recognition. Nitro then says Bischoff allowed Nitro to do whatever he wanted, but Vince cut him off, saying that Eric wasn’t in charge any more. When Nitro is about to answer back to Vince once again, Vince tells him to shut up, because he has a match next! Johnny is shocked and looks daggers through his new boss. Vince then says the match will be against none other than an old friend of Bischoff’s, Vince’s son SHANE MCMAHON will return for one night only!

*Commercial*

Johnny Nitro vs. Shane McMahon
This match was also a great match, with the crowd giving Shane a great response. Shane and Nitro displayed fantastic aerial techniques, and Nitro continually displaying the uncommon moves that he used last week against his nemesis Matt Hardy. Nitro looked to hit the Spinning DDT to Shane like he did to Matt last week, but Shane managed to trip up Nitro and then nail nailing a jumping elbow the chest of Nitro! Shane then nailed Nitro with a suplex, and then bounced off the ropes and nailed another elbow, and he then headed up top, looking for another aerial move, but Nitro managed to get up in time to see Shane, and quickly charged at him, delivering an elbow to the face. Nitro then climbed up to the second rope, where he attempted to hit Shane with a top rope Superplex, but Shane held on to the ropes, and pushed Nitro off the top rope. Shane then went for a huge Shooting Star Press, but Nitro rolled over, causing Shane to smack the mat chest first! Nitro then climbed over for the cover and for the win over the next Chairman of the WWE, but somehow Shane managed to kick out! Nitro couldn’t believe it, so he placed Shane where he wanted him and then went for a Break Dance Leg Drop, and nailed it, crushing the throat of Shane. Nitro then lifted up Shane, let out a smirk, and hit the dreaded Spinning DDT! He climbed over for the cover and hooked the leg, and it was over. Nitro continue to ambush Shane, until Matt Hardy came running down the ramp to a big pop from the crowd, seemingly recovered from last week’s attack. Shane was then rolled out of the ring by the referee, as Matt and Nitro continued to trade blows, until a man came running out through the crowd, looking a lot like Joey Matthews from the old ECW, and it was, although he had a different look. A beautiful woman then came down the entrance, as Nitro and his new partner then double teamed the prone Hardy, before hitting him with a Flapjack DDT, which they called the Snapshot! Nitro then introduced them as Joey Mercury and the woman as Melina, or more simply known as MNM! They then hit Hardy with another “Snapshot”, as the new stable then posed to big heat, as JR and the King put over the young trio.

*Commercial*

We go backstage after the break where we see the old tag team of Brian Kendrick and Paul London, who get a nice pop from the crowd, who are happy to see the exciting duo back on the TV screen after being off it for a while. The tag team then talk about how tonight’s match is for the Tag Team Titles, not the Cruiserweight Title which they battled for so many times in their careers. The two nod at each other, as London says this is the most important match of their careers, as Kendrick says Let’s Do This. They continue to put on their wrestling attire, as we cut back to JR and the King, who talk about Evolution’s punishment matches for tonight, with Flair and Batista forced to put their titles on the line against La Resistance and the returning tag team of London and Kendrick, and HHH has to go up against Goldberg, one of his Elimination Chamber opponents. This brings them to the Backlash card, as they hype the Elimination Chamber for the World Heavyweight Title which involves Triple H, Ric Flair, Batista, Goldberg, The Rock and of course the World Heavyweight Champion, HBK Shawn Michaels. They go on to the huge Inter Promotional Money in the Bank match, with Chris Jericho forced to defend his briefcase against his former friend and now fierce foe, Smackdown’s John Cena. They talk about how Cena cost Jericho another Intercontinental Title reign last week, and then how Jericho cost Cena a match against Kidman, only for Cena to brutalise Billy after the match, and now how Y2J is out for revenge. They talk about only other announced match so far, the No Holds Barred match between Johnny Nitro and Matt Hardy. King talks about what happened moments earlier with the debut of the MNM stable, and how it will work as a huge advantage as he has them in his corner. JR and the King then hype the Tag Team Title match, which is on NEXT!

Texas Tornado Triple Threat World Tag Team Title Match
Evolution (Ric Flair and Batista) © vs. La Resistance vs. Londrick (Paul London and Brian Kendrick)

This match was the Match of the Night, although at times there could be a little confusion as all 6 men were in the ring at one time. London and Kendrick were fantastic on their Raw debut, hitting high flying moves at the most unsuspecting times, which made this match such a great one. Kendrick nailed a massive crossbody from the top rope to Batista who was on the outside, as London then flew over the top rope and nailed a senton onto the sternum of Batista, as the crowd were on their feet with this phenomenal display of high flying ability! London and Kendrick then got on their feet and posed for the crowd, but they were met with a baseball slide to the back of the head each from one member of La Resistance. La Resistance were then left with Flair, but the two still couldn’t get the veteran, as Ric showed why he was the Dirtiest Player in the Game as he nailed Grenier with a thumb to the eye followed by giving Conway a low blow. Flair then nailed Grenier with an overhead belly to belly suplex, but when it looked like he would hit Conway with a Butterfly Suplex, London came out of nowhere and nailed Flair with a huge Springboard Dropkick! Batista then came in and went for a Spear, but London leap frogged over Batista, and somehow Kendrick bounced off the top rope and nailed a Springboard Sunset Flip Cover, pinning Batista’s shoulders down and getting the three count! WE HAVE NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! Londrick are ecstatic about their win and their first set of tag team titles, as Batista is shocked at what happened.

Evolution makes their way up the ramp, disappointed, as Flair consoles Batista. Londrick are still in the ring celebrating, but La Resistance are right behind them, as Londrick turn around, and see La Resistance, doing the belt signal and mouthing the word “Backlash”. We go to JR and the King, who congratulate Londrick on their spectacular performance, although they are talking about La Resistance’s antics after the match, saying Backlash, and if this is a sign of things to come.

We go backstage and for some reason, John Cena is there, seemingly looking for Jericho to get revenge from last week when Y2J cost Cena a match against Billy Kidman, as Jericho got revenge for what happened last week when Cena cost Jericho the title. Both John Cena and Chris seem to be looking for each other. Cena was in the back, looking extremely uncomfortable in the Raw locker room, when all of a sudden none other than Y2J Chris Jericho himself came from behind Cena and started pummelling him in the back. Cena managed to get up and the two traded wild punches, engaged in a very fierce, full on brawl. Jericho then tripped up Cena and went for a Walls of Jericho, but Cena kicked him off which caused Jericho to smash his back against the metal garage door. Cena attempted to hit Jericho, but Jericho side stepped and made Cena hit the door, as the two then continued to brawl all over the place. A whole security team and various referees came charging in to stop the former friends from killing each other, but the two Backlash opponents continued to tear each other apart. Other lower card wrestlers came in and then they managed to break up the scuffle, as they had to hold them apart from attacking the other. Jericho and Cena were seething from the mouth, as they still wanted to attack each other. Cena then managed to free himself but instead of attacking, he remembered he was in enemy territory and left the building, as Jericho watched on, still trying to free himself from grip.

HHH vs. Goldberg
The match had started during the commercial, straight after London and Kendrick made their way to the back with their new tag team titles. This was reminiscent to their Armageddon affair a couple of years ago, with it being a fairly sluggish affair in all honesty. Goldberg looked like he was suffering from a bit of ring rust, and it showed when he nailed a laughable attempt of a Military Press, although the match did pick up later on, with Goldberg making amends for his move beforehand as he nailed a Top Rope Flying Shoulder Tackle, which got an almighty pop from the crowd as most of them have probably never seen Goldberg go off the top rope before. Goldberg let out a roar, before nailing Triple with a thunderous clothesline which sent him over the top rope and to the floor. Goldberg followed him out, only to be sent into the steel steps with an Irish Whip. Trips then sent Goldberg’s head into the steel steps, and then whipped him into the barricade a few times, as HHH then taunted Goldberg. Triple H then sent Goldberg into the ring, as HHH then bad mouthed some of the front row fans, saying they should respect the next World Heavyweight Champion. Triple H then got on the apron and went in through the second rope, only to be met with a thunderous Spear from Goldberg! The crowd let out a big pop, but HHH is taken aback from the Spear and goes towards the corner. Triple H’s body is half way out of the ring, and he pulls out something that neither Goldberg nor the referee could see. SLEDGEHAMMER! The crowd let out a bunch of heat, and as Goldberg went for the second Spear, Triple H hit him with a sledgehammer shot to the temple! The ref rang the bell, as HHH Made a motion towards the back, as Evolution came charging down the ramp, and started kicking away at Goldberg. HHH then looked to hit Goldberg with a Pedigree, only for the Rock and HBK to come charging down the ramp and make the save, although it was short lived as HHH nailed Shawn with a low blow, and nailed him with his own World Title! It was then three on two, and Batista nailed Goldberg with a Spinebuster (getting revenge for what happened last week) and then Flair locked in the Figure Four on the Rock, before finally letting go when Rocky had passed out from the pain The show ended with Evolution standing tall, Triple H in the middle, raising up the World Heavyweight Championship belt.

Thursday Night Smackdown!

Smackdown starts off with Michael Cole and Tazz first welcoming us to the show, before hyping the big return of the TV Title, as well as the return of Los Guerreros tonight and the events of last week involving the Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, JBL and the WWE Champion Kurt Angle. ‘MacMillitant’ starts to play to a big ovation, as Theodore Long comes out to a big ovation with the TV Title bag, which gets an even bigger pop. Teddy says that he is out here to make some announcements. Teddy first tells us the rules of the TV Title, and that the Television Title will be defended on every televised show, including PPV’s. The match also has a 15 minute time limit, and the title can change hands by DQ or a count-out. He then goes on to say that the Television Title match will kick off Smackdown, but before it starts, he has an announcement about tonight’s main event, next week’s main event and Judgment Day’s main event, which makes the crowd get a little excited. Theodore says that after the events of last week, tonight there will be a massive tag team main event, which pits Brock Lesnar and JBL vs. the WWE Champion Kurt Angle and the UNDATAKAH! The crowd give an almighty pop for this main event, as Teddy goes on to announce next week’s main event, a Triple Threat Number 1 Contender’s match. He says that next week, Brock Lesnar, Bradshaw and The Undertaker will once again battle it out, and the winner of that match will face Kurt Angle in the main event of Judgment Day! The crowd let out a massive pop, although there are scattered boos as they probably want the main event to be tonight. Long then says that it is time to reveal Smackdown’s newest acquisition from Raw, after Vince allowed Teddy to get this man after London and Kendrick’s trade. Teddy reveals that this man is the other competitor in the TV Title match, Chris BENOIT! The crowd give out a mixed reaction for Benoit, as some still don’t forgive him for what he did to Chavo Guerrero. Benoit makes his way out; as he says sorry to the fans and to everyone for what he has done over the past weeks, which then turns him officially face once again. ‘Get Back’ by Ludacris hits for the first time in the night, as the crowd give a nice pop to Teddy’s friends and the other competitor in the title match, Antonio Banks (for those who don’t know, Antonio Banks is actually MVP. This was his old gimmick on the independent circuit).

TV Title
Antonio Banks vs. Chris Benoit

This match went for 13 minutes, meaning it was just under the time limit for the TV Title matches. Antonio showed off some incredible ability, and it seemed he had had some previous matches with Benoit, as the two had some really great chemistry. Benoit had attempted a Diving Headbutt 9 minutes into the match after a Three Amigos, but Banks managed to stick his knees up, and Benoit’s head hit Banks’ knees, as the crowd grimaced, although Benoit signalled that he was A.O.K. which got a good pop from the crowd. Antonio tried to take advantage of the obviously hurt Benoit, and he attempted to hit a move he called the Money Maker (Play Maker), but Benoit pulled his leg down and locked in the Sharpshooter! Banks writhed in pain, desperately attempting to get to his only saviour, the ropes. Antonio was gradually making his way to the ropes, but Benoit then pulled Banks back into the middle of the ring, and applied more pressure! Banks struggled in the hold, but finally after 45 seconds in the hold, Banks had enough will power and managed to get to the ropes, as there was only two minutes left on the clock. Benoit then waited for the youngster to get up, and then went for the three German’s, but Banks somehow reversed into the Money Maker! Banks then bounced off the ropes, did a basketball shot taunt while saying ‘Ballin’!’ and then nailed an elbow drop to the chest of Benoit. Banks lifted up his arms to a nice pop from the crowd, as he waited for Benoit and then hit the Malicious Intent, knocking Benoit out! Antonio then climbed over for the cover, and Banks was the winner of the newly re-instated TV Title! Teddy then handed Antonio his title, as Long then left so Banks could bask in his well deserved glory. Banks continues celebrating, when Benoit gets up, looking at the extremely happy Antonio. Benoit then approaches Banks, who holds onto his newly won title very tightly. Benoit then shakes his head, saying he isn’t going to hurt him, but he instead sticks his arm out to a big ovation from the crowd, as Banks accepts, as Chris applauds the future of the WWE.

We come back from the break with Lesnar taping up his wrists, when none other than John Bradshaw Layfield and the rest of the Cabinet come walking in to very big heat from the crowd. Bradshaw basically talks about that tonight, they are tag team partners and next week are opponents, but tonight they have to work together, to destroy the champ and the Deadman. Lesnar says that he agrees with JBL, but that next week, they are opponents, and there is nothing that will stop Lesnar from getting back his WWE Championship. There seems to be a bit of tension between the tag partners for later tonight, as JBL retaliated to when Lesnar said that it was his WWE Championship, although the Big Show intervenes by pulling him back, as JBL then smirks. Bradshaw then said that instead of having a 33 percent chance for next week, and instead of having a 50 percent chance at Judgment Day, how about they increase their chances by taking out their two opponents tonight. Lesnar says you’re on, as the two seem to resolve their differences, as John then leaves, as Brock just smirks, not believing the ignorance of Layfield, as he then continues to strap up.

We go back to the announcers, who talk about Teddy Long’s comments from before, as well as the new guy Antonio Banks winning the TV Title in his first match in the WWE. The two then congratulate him in beating a veteran and newest Smackdown superstar Chris Benoit to win the title, but that he has to defend it every week on Smackdown, which is a very tough ask with the superstars on the brand. Tazz then brings up about Los Guerreros’ return, and Cole says that will come on later tonight, with Chavo making his awaited come back from his injury. They also hype the massive tag team main event, as well as John Cena facing off against WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio. They say that this is a huge Smackdown, and one that you don’t want to miss. Up next, John Cena vs. Rey Mysterio!

*Commercial*

John Cena vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio w/ WWE Tag Champ Rob Van Dam
The announcers put over Cena's huge match at Backlash against Jericho for the MITB briefcase, and the events that happened on Raw on Monday with the wild brawl. They talk about the history between the two from the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and this match is a stellar match, with Cena showing a much more aggressive side he has been on as of late, nailing Mysterio with relentless stomps and strikes, as well as lifting Mysterio's head up off the mat after hitting a Throwback, as he signalled that he wasn't finished yet, saying that he wanted to "hurt" Mysterio. John then went for a Spin Out Powerbomb, but somehow Mysterio pulled off one of his freaky moves by somehow giving Cena a Hurricanrana, causing Cena to be tripped up in position for the 619 at the 11 minute mark! Mysterio then screamed out 619 to the crowd and then bounced off the ropes, but when he went to hit his trademark finisher move, Cena moved out of the way and got him somehow into a standing Fireman’s Carry, looking for the F-U! Cena went to throw the cruiserweight off of his shoulders, but Mysterio managed to land on his feet and nail a standing neckbreaker from behind of Cena out of no-where, which got a big pop from the crowd. The two continued to trade big time moves, such as Cena reversing an attempted Super Hurricanrana by Mysterio into a massive Super Powerbomb from off the top rope! Cena then headed up top to unfamiliar territory, and then went for a Flying Clothesline when Rey Rey had gotten up, but somehow Mysterio managed to leap so high in the air and nailed a dropkick to the face of Cena! Mysterio then bounced off the ropes and nailed a quick leg drop to the throat of Cena, before he lifted Cena up but he was met with a poke to the eye, followed by a Spin Out Powerbomb which this time connected! Cena then did the Five Knuckle Shuffle with his signature theatrics, and then it looked like he would lock in the STF manoeuvre that he debuted last week as he probably thought Mysterio would reverse the F-U once again, but when Cena was going to bend down and then lock in the STF-U, Mysterio turned onto his back and in a split second got him in a small package and was so close to getting the win, but Cena managed to get out. Mysterio looked to have the momentum as he charged at Cena, only to be met with a decapitating clothesline!! Cena smirked, and said this was for Jericho, before picking up Mysterio, looking for the F-U once again, but Jericho’s music hit around the arena to a big ovation while Mysterio was still on his shoulders but no one comes out, but in this time, Mysterio slides off of Cena’s shoulders and gets him in a school boy roll up for the victory! Cena has lost two matches in a row from a Jericho distraction, as John goes sprinting towards the back, looking for Y2J. RVD gets in the ring and helps Mysterio up after the 18 minute classic match, as Mysterio stuck his arms up, as Rob applauded. In this time, Carlito and Booker T start running down the ramp, which the champs don’t see and the crowd are confused by it. Out of nowhere, Carlito goes from behind Rey and nails him with a Back Stabber, and Booker T turns around his former partner in RVD and nails him with a Book End. The crowd give out big heat, as the seemingly new tag team pose and stand over the champions.

We come back from the break with John Cena storming away in the car park, and he is looking for something in there, but it is not Jericho, instead it is the production truck. Cena rips open the door and starts screaming, asking who did it, as the people inside have absolutely no idea what he is talking about. Cena then says who put on Jericho’s music, and starts to assault one of the people inside, but out of no-where, Chris Jericho comes bursting in, and the begin brawling, as the eventually make their way outside of the truck. Jericho starts to slam Cena’s head into the truck, but Cena nails Jericho with a low blow out of no-where, before picking Jericho’s briefcase that he had brought with him and smashed it over his head, busting Jericho wide open and knocking him out cold! Cena looks at the briefcase, before walking off with it. The camera is on Jericho for a bit, who then manages to get up, blood dripping from his face. He goes to get his briefcase, but he sees it is not there. Jericho screams out “YOU SON OF A B!TCH!” and goes racing after Cena, going to get his briefcase back.

We go to the backstage area with Steve Romero who says please welcome his guest, where we see Chavo Guerrero come in with a smirk on his face to a great pop. Steve welcomes Chavo back, as Chavo says it is great to be back where he belongs. Steve then mentions what Eddie said last week about Chris Benoit and how he said that Benoit frequently said sorry, as Chavo nodded. Chavo said that straight after Wrestlemania, Benoit came rushing to his hospital bed and was saying sorry over and over again. Chavo said that he had forgiven Benoit when he had showed up and said sorry, but he would not stop, and kept saying that he wasn’t in the right state. Steve then goes on to say how much he is looking forward to tonight, teaming with his uncle Eddie and getting back in the ring for the first time in 6 weeks. Chavo then says he had to go, he leaves, but then he comes back, saying ‘Viva La Raza’ to a good pop from the crowd.

Los Guerreros vs. Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki

The match was an alright match, not a show stealing match but not a bad one either. The United States Champion Eddie Guerrero started off the match to the dismay of the crowd, not because they don’t like Eddie, but because they want to see Chavo back in action. The crowd finally got what they wanted in the five minute mark after Eddie was in trouble but managed to break through after Kenzo attempted a DDT, Eddie reversed into a back body drop, before managing to get a very dramatic diving tag to Chavo, who nailed a springboard dropkick to Rene when he ran into the ring to try and stop the tag, before Chavo hit Kenzo with a kick to the gut, followed by a swinging neckbreaker and then a standing senton to his sternum. Chavo then lifted up Kenzo but Dupree came charging in and clubbed him in the back with a double fist. The unusual tag team looked to double team Chavo by whipping him against the ropes, but he ducked under the double clothesline attempt, bounced off the middle rope and nailed both of them with a crossbody block which got another nice pop from the crowd. Chavo then gave Rene to Eddie, and Los Guerreros then smirked, as Eddie kicked Rene in the gut and Chavo did the same to Kenzo, as the uncle and nephew tag team then got their opponents in a suplex position, and they nailed simultaneous suplexes to their opponents, but they held on to the hold, before getting back up and setting them up for another suplex each. Double three Amigos! The tag team nailed the suplexes, and they headed up top and nodded, as Chavo and Eddie leapt off and nailed their opponents with double Frog Slashes, as the two then pin and they get the double pin victory! Eddie and Chavo leave together, Eddie with his US Title belt over his shoulder and embracing with Chavo. Once they get to the top of the ramp, the 2 then raise their arms, as Benoit comes out for the second time in the night and embraces with the two, still saying sorry, as Los Guerreros look a little annoyed at Benoit’s constant apologies.

*Commercial*

We come back from the break, and the Cruiserweight Champion Jeff Hardy is backstage, and knocks on a door, which reads Theodore Long. Hardy goes in, and he says that Long wanted to see him. Long then says that Jeff’s last match was at Wrestlemania, and that he knows he is vying to get back on the card, and he is going to be wrestling next week, with his title on the line. Jeff then smirks, happy he will be back in the ring, as Long then says that he will be up against a man that he has had quite a past with, Funaki. Hardy then smirks, as he has had an undefeated streak against Funaki. Jeff then thanks Theodore and is about to leave, but Long pulls him back, saying that there is a special something for the match. Jeff is then confused and asks what it is, and Teddy says that there is a stipulation for the match, and he is sure that Hardy, the crowd and (hopefully) Funaki will like. He says that next week’s Cruiserweight Title match will also be a LADDER MATCH! A huge smirk comes over the face of Hardy, as Jeff thanks him for his time. We then go to Funaki’s locker room, who gets a reasonable mixed reaction from the crowd, who is surprisingly smirking.

We go to the announcers, who hype up next week’s huge show, saying that Smackdown is really heating up, with next week’s TV Title Match with Antonio Banks defending his title for the first time, the huge Ladder match for the Cruiserweight Title between the ladder specialist and the Cruiserweight Champion Jeff Hardy defending his title against his nemesis Funaki, and of course the massive Triple Threat Number 1 Contender’s match between “The Beast” Brock Lesnar, “The Self Made Millionaire” John Bradshaw Layfield and JBL’s foe “The Deadman” The Undertaker, where the winner will go on to face Kurt Angle at Judgment Day in the main event for the WWE Championship!! They then say that up next is the huge tag team main event, with the dream team Kurt Angle and The Undertaker facing off against Brock Lesnar and JBL.

Main Event Tag Team Match
WWE Champion Kurt Angle and The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar and JBL w/ the rest of the Cabinet

This match was also a great match, with Angle and Lesnar showing why they put on one of the MOTY candidates at Wrestlemania, and each of these men had great chemistry with each other as each of them had competed against one another before. Angle had attempted to hit Bradshaw with an Angle Slam, but Brock came in to save the match by giving Angle a Spear 10 minutes into the match, as Taker then came in to stop a double team attempt from the heels, as he then threw Lesnar over the top rope and then fought, where the Cabinet were about to intervene to save their boss’ tag team partner. Angle and the Self Made Millionaire from Texas then fought in the ring, where Angle managed to nail a German Suplex, although he kept the waist lock applied, and nailed another belly to back suplex. Angle then went for a signature third consecutive German Suplex, Orlando Jordan hopped up onto the apron and distracted the referee, as JBL then attempted to nail a low blow with his leg (ala Ric Flair at Wrestlemania 24 IRL), but Kurt Angle sensed the move coming and held onto his leg, before applying the Ankle Lock to an incredible pop from the crowd, as Bradshaw is in real trouble. OJ stays on the apron and continues to distract the referee, as Danny Basham sneaks into the ring from behind the distracted referee and nails Kurt with a lead pipe to the ribs, causing Angle to break the hold! Lesnar and Taker were still fighting, now near the announce table, still engaged in battle. Danny quickly slides out of the ring, but not before giving JBL the lead pipe. The referee then finally turned around as Orlando eventually stopped distracting when the submission move was broken up. Angle got up slowly, crouched over and still holding his ribs, as on the outside, Doug Basham and The Big Show tried to injure Taker, although he managed to fight off the two as well as Brock. Angle got up and went for JBL, but JBL nailed a Clothesline from Hell, but as the camera zoomed in to JBL, he had the lead pipe for assistance. Taker managed to fight off Lesnar, but he didn’t get in the ring quick enough to break up the pin, making JBL and Lesnar the victors! Taker then went in the ring and attacked Bradshaw, but Lesnar came in the ring and managed to lift up Taker and nail the F-5! The crowd are chanting for ‘Kane’, but he is nowhere to be seen. The two heels then pose, but out of nowhere, JBL hits Brock with a Clothesline from Hell. JBL then gets the WWE Title belt from the timekeeper, and Big Show lifts Layfield up onto his shoulders as he poses with the belt!
