Welcome to WrestleStars Promotions - An Introduction
This is going to be another try from me at a more fantasy-based BTB, with Wrestlers from the present and past mixed together
into one project. I started my last project, BTB Wrestling, which isn't completely dead yet by the way, with the same idea in mind,
but while I worked on that one, I decided to stay on a more realistic path (when it comes to the talent I use) with it.
This one here though... this one gonna have Fantasy written all over it. In big red letters. Okay, maybe that's a bit too dramatic, but
you'll see Wrestlers from different eras thrown together into a pot to create a big ol', bizarre stew, concocted in my weird head.
I'm not yet completely sure if I'm going to also use talent, that has passed away in real life. I know not everyone is fine with it, so I
just want to warn you guys, that there might comes a point in time, where I'll introduce some of those into this project.
If anyone has any kind of questions, feel free to ask. Be it about backstories or past events within this universe or whatever. I'm
planning on adding history snippets here and there throughout the project anyways, but let me know if you would like to see some
specific filler content first. I can't promise to always answer those immediately in detail, but I'll certainly try to paint a complete
picture over time.
The (very brief recap of the) History of WSP
WrestleStars Promotions (WSP) has been the major Wrestling promotion in the world for most of its history, which
reaches back into the 1960s. During the 1980s a major boom period in the wrestling business brought the company, which was
still named Metropolitan Championship Wrestling back then and Professional Wrestling itself into the mainstream of the
Entertainment industry. After some booming highs and some horrible lows, we are now in September of the year 2020.
The night before, the WSP put on their Ruthless Aggression PPV. Officially, this show was the very first one completely
run by the new owners of the promotion, who had taken over during the month of August, after there had been talks and
negotiations about a buyout since the very start of 2020. The new owners stated beforehand, that the creative direction will
not be completely turned around and possible major changes will only be implemented over time, since the company isn't that
far away from Starrcade 35, the biggest show of the year and flagship PPV of WrestleStars Promotions, in early December.
