Cinema Hall of Fame

Well ladies and gentlemen? It's been a very exciting year for all of us, with lots of movie watching and solid films being released this year. However, this December, we are going to decide which illustrious films belong in the WS Cinema Hall of Fame! We shall induct five movies each year into this hallowed hall, from the silent era, the Golden Age, and all the way to the modern era. So without further ado, let's begin the nomination process!
Rules:
- 10 Nominations will be accepted per person. The top 10 nominations overall will then be eligible to be voted on. Afterwards, the top 5 voted movies will be inducted into the Hall. - The earliest date for nominations to be accepted will be 1906, which coincides with the release of the first full-length "feature film". The latest date for nominations will be 2015, to keep newer movies from having recency bias and to allow for more parity. - When nominating a movie, please include the Title and Date which the movie would be released, e.g. Night of the Living Dead (1968). The primary reason for this request is that multiple movies carry the same name but have different release years. There is also a potential for two movies to have the same name and same release year, in which case you will also be requested to clarify which version you are nominating, e.g. English Version Dracula (1931), and Spanish Version Dracula (1931). - Nominations are to be privately messaged to @Barry Poppins, though nominations being secretive are optional, and discourse between films is allowed and encouraged. - Nominations will be accepted until December 31st, 2025 11:59 PM CST. - Most of all, Have Fun! |
