Hi all, post here if you're interested in joining a chess tournament. Rules would be fairly simple, looking to get 8 people but we can make it work with more or less depending on interest. I'll make the brackets and whatnot myself and then you guys would just have to start the games with each other. Chess.com looks like the best look that I've seen, could run the tournaments on there if I pay for a subscription but...nah. They have an app too and all you'd have to do is add your opponent as a friend and start a game and then post the results here once the game is over. Could play on either your PC or phone easily.

If anyone has any other site suggestions though that might work better then I'm all ears. I'll post something more official after gauging interest here.

6 sign-ups so far, if we get two more I'll set up a bracket. Think I'd still rather just use Chess.com though, that other site always makes you pay to run tournaments anyway

I just wanna do a quick 8 person tournament first which should go by fairly quick and then we can work on expanding.

So entries are locked now, and I'll get a bracket up here in a few days.

For now, sign up to Chess.com and add each other as friends (My username is ChrisM75633). Whoever can start the game once match-ups are released, just do a daily game with a 1 day limit on moves so no one is holding it up too long (please for the love of god make your move before the 24 hour limit comes close though). With every game taking different amounts of times, this will be pretty casual. Once I get the bracket up, you can start your first round match whenever you're ready.

Don't think it'd be a problem if two winners started their second round match-up before the first round was done either if they were ready, you'll have to wait for the other half of the bracket at some point either way
