To me, El Genrico has it hands down. For his run as PWG champ/tag champ. On top of that, his run as Steen/Genrico for the tag titles, with severals 4 + star matches. On top of that, he made it to the finals of RTTT tournament, and the finals of Bola. Great matches just about every time he stepped in the ring this year.

Runner Up: Jay Briscoe. ....need i say more?

Up until a couple of weeks ago, I would hae strongly considered Chuck Taylor for indy wrestler of the year, instead my vote goes to.... MIKE QUACKENBUSH!

He beat Chuck Taylor for the IWA-MS title, winning the Ted Petty Invitational in the process. He finally made his debut for ROH and put on some great matches there aswell, and last but not least... He won the NWA World Junior Heavyweight title by beating Tiger Mask and even managed to unmask him after the match.

Mike Quackenbush is one of my favorte indy workers of all time, and the whole concussion at the TPI was awesome, BUT i think that Claudio Castagnoli deserves indy wrestler of the year, he put on one of the best matches ive seen in a while at Chikara's Cibernetico and Robin event. So in closing...
