Chris Jericho is pushing for New Japan's biggest show Wrestle Kingdom 12 to be shown on pay-per-view in the United States.

Wrestle Kingdom 12 to be Shown on US PPV? - SEScoops

But there are many within the promotion who are against it. One problem is the timezone. Wrestle Kingdom will air live in Japan, January 4th on a weeknight, which means it would air in the United States at two o'clock in the morning.

Is it a good idea to air Wrestle Kingdom on pay-per-view?

It is doable. I remember that Jarrett helped them get it on PPV in the states back when he was a Bullet Club member that one time and they had Jim Ross on commentary for the first time.

But I don't think it made that much money because of the above mentioned timezones.

So while they can do it the question is should they do it and give another slice of the pie to the ppv providers, or just focus on marketing world to Americans even more? Since you can just watch it live on there.

Where yo' grandma stay.
Eh, the American fans who really want to watch the event will probably subscribe to NJWorld and stay up to watch the event in full that morning or later that day. It would be a waste of money to broadcast on PPV here for diminishing returns when NJPW have a opportunity to increase the subscriber base.

Oh such a shame, watching your wrestling ppvs early in the morning. It's not like WWE has to make UK people do that every time they have a ppv, poor Americans....
