The !interactive Championship (pronounced Interactive Championship) serving as the dedication to the sub-forum which the WPC is part of - will be looking to test out a new mechanics, with the intention of possibly implementing this approach moving forward.
The !interactive Championship Division will essentially begin - where the the Grand Championship/OTPG Championship ends. For sake of this experiment - we will not start this based off the current overall standing, but rather the results of the last event.
Necro, Chris, Haza & Jeff will not take part in this experiment to begin with - as they are already involved in title matches.
This creates a division that looks like this:
Rank | Name | Points Total From Event |
1st. | Sky | |
2nd. | Lethal | |
3rd. | Jimmy | |
4th. | Deth | |
5th. | HoHo | |
6th. | Blaze | |
7th. | The Fourth Wall | |
8th. | Juice | |
9th. | Smark | |
10th. | LadyHotRod |
Rather than working off a differential score - your position in the table is based on your ranking and the points that can come about from various results - in what becomes: Head 2 Head Matchplay.
A Win = 1 point
A Loss = -2 points
A Draw = 0 points
A Championship Loss = -5 points
A Championship Draw = Granted The Next Title Shot + 0 points
(if there is subsequent tie - 0 points lost - but not a guaranteed next title shot)
The Champion earns no points
To kick start this experiment - the first set of match will be 1st vs. 2nd, 3rd vs. 4th etc. This means that - Sky vs. Lethal will have one of three possible results:
1st) Sky win and becomes the Champion & Lethal drops to -10 points
2) Lethal wins and become the Champion & Sky drops to -10 points
3) They draw - and earn no points - but will both face each other again because of it being a Championship Draw.
[I would appreciate people's thoughts on this moving forward.]
