WPC Event Centre: Skys First Title Defense

Davey Wrestling

Does AEW have your attention now?!

Hello ladies and Gentlemen, and welcome to this special edition of WPC Event Centre. We are in King of the Ring season, in fact we're coming up to the finale of our impressive tournament, and our finalists have been decided. On September 5th at AEW All Out we will see the Wrestling Smarks owner and COO, @Demo God , go one-on-one with the man that is currently the number one ranked competitor on the planet, @Raidokken to crown our very first King.

Here at Event Centre we will be offering a full breakdown of these two competitors next week, before that showdown takes place. However, before our King is crowned the WPC Roster will be in New Japan Pro Wrestling action this coming weekend for a World Prediction Championship match, when our newly crowned Champion, @Sky , defends her title against the entire WPC roster in a Champion vs The World Match at NJPW Summer Struggle in Jingu.

So lets take a look at how our Champion has performed so far....

@Sky claimed her first World Prediction Championship at the very first ever WPC Supershow this past weekend by virtue of a higher placement in the rankings table, after tieing with @Petty Amore with a final score of 10-3 for the weekend.

Scoring 5 more wins at the joint NXT Takeover and WWE Summerslam than the then reigning champion, @Hollywood , the Scottish Superstar has been with the WPC since almost the beginning, predicting in eight of the ten events since the competitions inception and currently sits as the sixth highest ranked prediction competitor in the world.

As you can see, Sky does not have a losing record in any promotion, and the number six ranked predictor in the entire world has remarkable records in both NXT and WWE events. In fact, it's clear from the statistics that Sky is going to be a formidable opponent for any of her challengers to overcome but, perhaps the most interesting statistic of all is that Sky has not yet made any predictions for New Japan Pro Wrestling events, the promotion in which her first title defense will take place..... Is this a sign of potential weak spot for the Champion, or is another impressive performance about to be unleashed on the WPC roster?

Of course this is one of only two Champion vs the World matches remaining on the WPC schedule. After AEW All Out the title will be defended almost exclusivly in one-on-one matches, so perhaps the bigger question is: Will Sky still be the World Prediction Champion as we move into this new era of the WPC?

Whatever happens you can be sure to take part in the action by making your predictions in the predictions thread for this event when it is posted tomorrow evening, right here on Wrestling Smarks!
