Rather simple question:

Would you care if your girlfriend/boyfriend absolutely hated the sport we know as wrestling?

Well, so far I haven't had any issues, usually they're all like, "Oh okay" or I don't mention it.

If they didn't like it, well, fuck you then,

But if they hated it, and I'd get into a argument with them, and probably dump their sorry ass.

Most people who know I like it, they really don't care, it's never mentioned. If they hated it, it wouldn't matter to me unless they constantly brought it up and went on about how stupid it was.

LMAO...FUNNY THREAD.

When my fiance and I first got together years ago she absolutely hated wrestling. I'de sit there watching RAW or Smackdown and she'd simply sit on the other couch browsing the web on her laptop waiting for me to stop taking up the TV.
She has this very off fascination with Xena(lulz) and bought the complete series on DVD. It's an absolutely ridiculous show and she wanted me to watch it with her. I agreed to watch it if she would sit and watch wrestling with me....seemed like a fair trade.
Initially she still protested until she discovered one thing.................Jeff Hardy....lmao
She decided he was cute and she loved his whole spot monkey move set.

Since then she really has developed a love for wrestling and if we're out to dinner on a Monday night she'll seriously be checking her watch making sure we don't miss RAW.
She pretty much watches the show from a mark standpoint but really tries to discuss the whole inner workings of the business with me.
She draws the line at TNA though...she fucking hates it...lol

As long as they didn't have a problem with me browsing it up and making sure I am up to date on it over the web, I could totally give up watching it on TV and such. I barely do so as is.

Im in the same boat. My mates hate to sit through it, but funnily enough last time I sat with them and watched Afterburn, I ended up getting flooded with questions. So that was nice.

My ex didn't understand it, and she did jujitsu on top of this so she bickered about how this was not done right, or how she would've gotten out of it. amongst this, she'd say "oh thats a ..." etc and I'd just roll my eyes, half because i didnt care, half because i knew what it was called already.

i wouldnt dump a girl over it though, unless i wanted to dump her. id find my own time to watch it, or keep up to date online, like TQO mentioned...

Afterburn leaves you with plenty of questions. Like why do they bother making this?

A lot of my friends used to be into it, but they all kinda stopped two years back, so I jsut don't mention it, and everyone's happy

I wouldn't really care. I mean chances are we would hate something they like also so I mean really just maybe try to work something out sorta like noumenon did and watch each others shows. They could end up loving wrestling.

My girlfriend was the same way except with Edge. She had a deeper hate for wrestling though. her brother used to watch it and they would literally fist fight over the TV. So I had to coax her into watching it with me. She started getting into it right around the Edge/Matt Hardy feud in '05. now if I can only get her to like video games.

All of my friends were into it in the late 90's (which is what got me into coaxing my parents into letting me watch), but they all lost interest Shortly after WCW died. Now they all ride the "it's fake train." Kinda stupid since they were fans once. Hell, one friend called me raving his ass off over a Diamond Cutter once (1:25 in this video). [yt]asZxGvtpn_U[/yt]

Call me weird but I miss DDP.

DDP was my favorite wrestler in WCW. If he ever returned to wrestling I would mark out. But hell that Diamond Cutter was awesome he did in that video
