Blizzard has been quiet about World of Warcraft's upcoming expansion Mists of Pandaria. However, that's about to change. Expect new details to be released on the expansion next week.
The company's holding a press-only event from March 13th to 15th. According to MMO Champion, the embargo on the information from this event will be lifted on the 19th. Expect a bunch of new details, including hands-on previews, to hit the web on that date.
Mists of Pandaria is the fourth expansion for WoW. The expansion adds a brand-new continent for high-level players to explore. It also opens up the Pandaren race and Monk class for players. Challenge dungeons, pet battles, and talent redesigns are all part of the package as well.
Blizzard posted a picture of the female Pandaren's silhouette on their Facebook wall today. It seems we'll finally get a look at the female Pandaren character model. Hopefully it's not as butt-ugly as the female Worgen or female Tauren.
It's also possible that Blizzard will make some mention of Pandaria's closed beta. Players who signed up for a one year subscription to WoW are guaranteed access to the beta. It's not clear yet when testing will kick off. Pandaria is expected to be released this summer or fall, though, so the beta's probably not that far off.
