Level Up is being replaced by something called NXT Evolve although not at the start of the year. We’ve heard to expect it in a few months. It’s a Gabe Sapolsky project and essentially would be people in developmental but not on NXT television regularly, like Level Up. I think that instead of just matches, to do angles and promos and book it more like a television show. It will be shows taped only for television/streaming
An additional source provided more insight, suggesting that tapings will likely take place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL., and feature talent under WWE ID deals. This might explain why some of those prospects have appeared on recent NXT broadcasts.
They also reported that Sapolsky signed a new WWE contract in late 2024 and clarified that WWE LFG, airing on A&E, is still viewed as the successor to NXT Level Up—not necessarily the role NXT EVOLVE will fill.
WWE acquired EVOLVE outright in 2020 following a partnership that began in 2015.
He booked most of it until Adam Pearce took over roughly around 2009 or so. The Age of the Fall was his last big angle when ROH first got on PPV. He was fired in the middle of that storyline. He's worked for WWE for like 10 years tho so that part isn't anything new. He sold them evolve for a job basically
I don't even remember what ROH he booked but Evolve and DGUSA ruled. Biggest travesty is the archives never got released, was our first red flag there really that the utopia of the WWE Network was over
