According to a Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office media report, someone saw the woman put four packages of Train meat worth $40 in her purse and try to leave the store without paying.
The report said the woman was stopped and taken to the manager's office to wait for police and while waiting, she swallowed about 15 Nitroglycerin pills.
An employee called for an ambulance and the woman was said to be responsive for EMS, according to the report.
The report said she was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and a warrant for shoplifting was issued because she had one previous shoplifting conviction.
