BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A woman is fighting to stay alive after she was severely beaten in the parking lot of her job late Monday night.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the 42-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries when she was attacked at Heritage House Nursing Home around 11 p.m.
The facility is located in the 1300 block of Wooddale Boulevard in Baton Rouge.
Detectives said the initial investigation uncovered evidence the beating may have been domestic in nature.
Police said when they arrived at the nursing home the woman was lying in a back hallway. She was then taken to an area hospital.
Investigators have not released any names in the case.
